Being a Tourist in My Own City 🛤️ // Using the Canoo App in Victoria, BC

Hey friends! I had a rare day off during the week so I decided to explore some parts of Victoria I've never been to before and be a tourist for a day! I'm also using the new 'Canoo' app for the first time (a membership you get after becoming a PR or citizen of Canada) which gives you free entry into a bunch of attractions and national parks across Canada! Emme, it was a great out and about Victoria video. The “castle” is misnamed. It’s a mansion built by the coal baron Robert Dunsmuir a transplanted Scot. It is still very impressive!

I am coming to Victoria in Sept. Under a month a way. I'm pretty excited. I usually rent a scooter from Cycle BC and head down Dallas Road, passed willow Beach, passed Uplands to Cadboro Bay to a cute cafe called Moka. They have the best Smoothies their. Thanks for your blogs.

Hi Emme, were you able to scan your PR card or citizenship certificate seamlessly on the Canoo app? The scanner isn’t working for me, it just keeps on scanning and doesn’t take me to the next step. Any tips on scanning?

I told my roommate about Canoo. He is from Nigeria. His wife and children are coming to Calgary. He was wondering if it is for free. I realize the different events are free, but he was wondering if it costs money to sign up. Does it?
