Dang, I didn't know that I needed this change. Whenever I went into the final/super combo I just hoped and prayed that I wouldn't go down because I didn't want to lose the attack if I dodged
That Warpath sigil basically makes Id function how I wish he did pre-patch. It never sat right with me how easily you lose out on the benefits of GM as soon you proc the finishers. He feels way better to pilot now.
id new sigil is just ridiculous. if you do chain 4 skybound arts and the link time before godmight ends you can spam 10 godmight combos and delete any boss
the sigil is great, im havig alot of fun with it, BUT there is only 2 downsides i faced with the sigil so far 1. Is heavily team relied... many times i was stuck on dragon cus someone SBA due to full uplift builds or similar, sad part 2. On lucilius fight when he uses execution (the mechanic where slow puddles appear) the gauge will not depleted during the WHOLE mechanic. If u do not enter godmight before that u will have little time during paradise lost check to transform (unless someoen SBA right away then u just accept your fate of no unlimited godmight)
@@Shinstrikexhonestly depending on the situation dragon form is actually more damaging. Well if you fighting an opponent with a big hitbox that is. Ik its very situational but still.
Yeah, honestly the sigil is kinda bad. Most of the time when I actually get into Godmight, there's nothing to spam the finisher on in the first place, so most of the time I'm in Dragonform which is bleh.
Hey man, just popping by to ask for some advice. I really love Id, I just finished the main story, got him unlocked, did all his side missions etc etc. I'm hearing that I should strive for Versiles Heart until I've learned all the mechanics of whatever boss I'm fighting, and that I should build towards something else. Could I get your personal thoughts on this or recommend what I should build for instead of Versiles Heart until I'm comfortable against the bosses?
I'd suggest building for Versalis Heart either way if you're going for damage, the DPS is always going to be higher and there are ways to optimize boss fights around Heart as well (stalling in dragon, early rag form, Godmight SBA chain optimization etc.). Even sitting in Dragon form with Heart is comparable to the DPS of a fully optimized Godmight loop without heart; when you factor in the insane burst of 3+ Godmight finishers in sequence standard gameplay can't compete.
@@SanctusG Thanks brother, I appreciate you getting back to me on it. I've just been practicing perfect dodges and parries, along with chaining Id's skills together! Do you have any advice on wrightstone traits to go for? Based off the overmasteries you have, I assume crit rate, crit damage, maybe combo booster? Combo finisher damage since we spam godmight's finisher.
@@The_C.I.A. I haven't been playing since the introduction of the new wrightstones, but my understanding is that you'd go for crit rate (primary without crit OM, secondary otherwise), combo booster and the last slot can flex for what you're missing in sigils (another orange, stun power, etc).
When playing with randoms, I typically open the fight with Rag Form and stall dragon until SBA is ready to go. Dragon SBA charge is pretty insane, so you'll usually get it first with good uptime if you're not playing with someone running FoF lance or an uplift build.
Absolutely, depends on the fight. I tend to do this on behemoth because of how quickly his first phase ends. It's a lot more consistent to stall out in dragon during his first bloodthirst, abuse transform i-frames to guarantee a perfect dodge during big AOE, then start an immediate g-finisher. Most fights aren't going to have the downtime to enable 6 godmight finishers, so even just skipping human form on its own can be a pretty huge DPS boost.
Yea I’ve noticed dying with Id is extremely punishing. Often times rendering you useless for the remainder if you spent time prepping godmode and maybe form delaying for a break and you die right before

@@tek512 well it could be two things; 1. He plays on PC, the game is somewhat dead so I wouldn't blame him for just modding his Supp 5+s in 2. He has literally played non-stop since the game released, which I can also somewhat believe since he has to much technical knowledge of the game.. but to have all 3 be useful stats (cascade, auto-revive, and potion hoarder) scratch that.. 3 things, the third being he is the director of GBFR's heir
@@TheCoolguymanly With the new bugs everyone's finding, I'd rank (tentatively) something like this: Cagliostro (bugged), Captain (bugged), Zeta (bugged), Charlotta, Lancelot (for SBA, also bugged), Vaseraga, Eugen, Siegfried, Id, Narmaya. Io and Ghanda could be in there somewhere, no idea.
I really want to like Id, and I'm glad he got some buffs, but enhancing godmight alone doesn't quite bring him up to par. The real problem is that he's too weak outside of godmight. Having nearly all of his damage tied up in that really screws him over in a lot of fights, and it *definitely* screws him on the dummy. Versalis Heart definitely helps a lot, though.
I disagree that Id is weak, hes just not broken to where u can abuse mechanics to out-do intended (soft-)damage caps like percival and rackam could through system exploits. Id plays JUST as intended and is solid at that, but when compared to chars like Lancelot (for example) who deals less mashing dmg than Charlotta but can just dodge-attack spam the game into an instant win (can literally run a script to hold forward and press triangle/Y/right-click) afk farm.. people are going to overlook Id. I may be biased though, my mains are Id, then Lancelot (before Lucillius raid, b/c he looks cool), and Seofon
@Ace1stClass77 I am speaking in terms of pure, non-exploited damage. Id had some of the lowest overall DPS in the game before, and it was worsened even further by how several fights just really don't mesh well with his playstyle and timings. We have known the theoretical limits of each character for a while now, and Id was unfortunately near the bottom on most fights as well as dummy parses.. This last patch helped, but it didn't help enough.
@tek512 Eh? I think it helped plenty. Many mechanics no longer cancel your Godmight Finisher, and now you aren't shoehorned into a bad spot if something *does* cancel one of them, as you aren't forced to use ragnarok form to get a measly 2nd godmight finisher. You now get 3 at any point, and all of his skills still do incredible damage in Godmight form now. Godmight form was the reason Id did poorly in the first place. It was actually optimal in some fights to straight up not go for 2 godmight finishers, as scourge in dragon form was way stronger. This helped him a ton, and I don't see how anyone can complain about "Id doesnt do enough" anymore. Not only can he not die since he has the highest drain in the game and stoutheart got improved, but his damage leapt by a ton as well as great quality of life changes.
my thing is he feels like maybe hes kinda sorta on other chars level when hes on Godmight, but even then hes not. hesa definitely much stronger than he was pre-patch though, and these buffs are a great step in the right direction, but then you got chars like Vaseraga and Cagliostro that just kinda cook for 1/100th of the effort and outdps him and it makes you wonder what the hell the devs were thinking.

It's worth it to dump skills before going into finishers, as they should be back for human.
