Is the fight really all there is?
Percival Setups and Combos 1.50 / 1.60 | Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising
There are more +6 safejab setups I left out for brevity's sake, with the ones showcased here being the most valuable overall (in my estimation). Let me know if you have any questions, I only added annotations to things the first time they come up.
The combos in this older video are still relevant, with the exception of some routes (mostly involving 22U) becoming less optimal:

would you use berserker echo's over supplementary's?
They stack, so ideally prioritize BEcho and slot in as many SuppVs as you have space for; takes a while to optimize out with V+s.
Thank you sensei
im having issues with the 22L contacting in the first combo for set up
If you're talking about 1:10, this setup is for 0 stocks and also requires delaying both 2U and the first c.M by 1 frame with the block button. In other words, hold the block button while you're doing those inputs (but not while inputting 236H).
@@SanctusG i mean at 30 seconds that one the requires 4 stock
@@Fullmetalobiwan Ah ok. Same idea, the [Bl] in the notation means hold block, and ]Bl[ means release; if you don't do this to delay the c.M by one frame, then the opponent will not be low enough for 22L to connect. I went into to training mode and verified this still works as of 1.62. Hope that helps!
@@SanctusG so i left out the 22l but at the end i dont have enough meter to perform the 214U is there a reason for that?
@@Fullmetalobiwan I think maybe the reason you can't get the combo to work is you're doing a raging chain after the raging strike, which costs 25 meter and makes the 22L follow-up impossible.
The fact that you actually made this shows how hard it is to fight Lucilius even in Relink 💀 the mobile version is already hard enough to fight lol, thanks for the guide!
Thank you for the guide! Also thanks Lunerial for recomend me this video!
Are these still the anti-air combos you recommend for the latest patch 1.6?
They are, the only notable changes to AA game (that I"m aware of) are Macht being more consistent and 22U > 214U working at 6+ stocks instead of just 9.
So x-steele setup are just here to beat delay tech , if they do 5frames jab they win ?
Effectively yes; once you've conditioned them to block the safejabs you can sneak in an X-Seele for the closest thing he has to a real strike/throw game.
Absolutely crazy video wtf, thanks for this
Im struggling. I can't get any of the 22L's to connect. Its not character specific is it?
I've tested on several characters with seemingly weird hitboxes (versusia, vaseraga, uno, etc.) with no issue, are you holding the block button when it's called for in the notation? If you don't delay some normals by 1F with the block button then the 22L won't connect in a lot of these.
Banger video milord
Percival is the best. This was a great guide!
My problem was Siegfried is that his skills don't contribute to his combo finisher every other character at least the ones I've delved into the most have their skill contribute to their combo finisher. For example cagliostro whenever you do at least two of her skills it contributes to her having a quick execution of her smash finisher. Or let's take Percival for example at least three of his skills contribute to a quick execution of his double charge finisher. However with Siegfried his skills don't help him get closer to his combo finisher at all. It's just an attack and that's it you don't get anything for doing it at all to get him to his final finisher. This makes his skill set feel janky not doesn't flow. I feel like this is an easy fix and not even his link attack after the execution you can't go into his final finisher. Seems like an odd decision considering how every other character functions. Finally getting to his combo finisher isn't easy considering the fact that you have to perfectly time all your hits for him to do it.
As someone getting into Siegfried late during the final patch, it's crazy to think about Link Time rotation that just isn't Perfect Execution.
Hey man, just popping by to ask for some advice. I really love Id, I just finished the main story, got him unlocked, did all his side missions etc etc. I'm hearing that I should strive for Versiles Heart until I've learned all the mechanics of whatever boss I'm fighting, and that I should build towards something else. Could I get your personal thoughts on this or recommend what I should build for instead of Versiles Heart until I'm comfortable against the bosses?
I'd suggest building for Versalis Heart either way if you're going for damage, the DPS is always going to be higher and there are ways to optimize boss fights around Heart as well (stalling in dragon, early rag form, Godmight SBA chain optimization etc.). Even sitting in Dragon form with Heart is comparable to the DPS of a fully optimized Godmight loop without heart; when you factor in the insane burst of 3+ Godmight finishers in sequence standard gameplay can't compete.
@@SanctusG Thanks brother, I appreciate you getting back to me on it. I've just been practicing perfect dodges and parries, along with chaining Id's skills together! Do you have any advice on wrightstone traits to go for? Based off the overmasteries you have, I assume crit rate, crit damage, maybe combo booster? Combo finisher damage since we spam godmight's finisher.
@@The_C.I.A. I haven't been playing since the introduction of the new wrightstones, but my understanding is that you'd go for crit rate (primary without crit OM, secondary otherwise), combo booster and the last slot can flex for what you're missing in sigils (another orange, stun power, etc).
Everything is harder after all those cancel fixes 😢
Best guide seriously now i realy learnt things about seofon
This is really well done you brought out full potential of Seofen! Any interest in creating guides for the other high skill ceiling characters like Ghandagoza, Katalina, Vaseraga?
Most of the time despedazar, sends the dummy on the air, how do you avoid that ?
Turn off "Reactive Sir Barrold" in training settings. If you're doing score attack then it's just something you have to work around.
@@SanctusG i see thanks for the answer
New builds for 1.3?
Can you do another video with the new patch if there is a new build more suited for him ?
I don't quite understand (sorry if I missed something in the video), what is the point of holding and releasing block? Something due to the precise timing, I assume.
Holding block delays the next action by 1 frame because the game buffers the blocking state for 1 frame prior to the next input; it's used to do combos that would normally not link properly with standard timing.
@@SanctusG Ah, that makes sense. Thanks!
Talking would be amazing
hey man me again - do you have any particular places you recommend for gear farming? Armour in particular. I'm only at Bahamut difficulty so still a ways off but it'd be nice to know how you got your stuff so I don't sink time into unnecessary stuff and also have something to aim for. Cheers man, absolutely love this build in particular, i've got a cheap knock off version going atm and i'm loving it.
It's been a while, so my memory is hazy, but any boss you can kill quickly at a high trial level is good for farming. There aren't set drops in the endgame difficulties, so the mission doesn't really matter. When it comes to Lufenian endgame you'll have to clear at high trial levels to get good relic pieces. Glad you like the build; it was the most fun for me. There's cheesier stuff out there (like breaker) but nothing else feels as good to play.
@@SanctusG Okay cool good to know. Yeah man it's so much fun to play, I like that you have to actually learn the boss's moveset to get the most out of it as the parry damage and pressure you can get is insane. I've seen some other build's online and most look so cheap, just revolving around a single move. I get the appeal of the big numbers and ease of play but it's not for me.
hey man - do you bother with Knight mastery points or because you're just using it for the buff do you not bother with it? Been loving your guides for this game and Gran Blue btw, we have similar tastes, dragon/dark knights fuck yeah.
For Knight mastery I just filled in utility stuff like Luck, MP on soul burst, drop rate, buff duration, etc. You can swap to knight to soul burst bosses to get the benefits.
@SanctusG ah clever! Nice, cheers man
@@SanctusG also regarding your mastery points for DK - can you explain the thinking behind the STR/INT/SPR allocation? I just assumed STR and INT were best.
@@WeeBong92 SPR was for BoL damage scaling and elemental weakness application; in the pinned comment I went back on it in lieu of capping DRK affinity and throwing extra points into ND:DD, as the overall damage was better that way.
@@SanctusG gotcha, cheers for the reply dude really appreciate it
easy one of best caracters in granblue series he fantastic caracter
So even with 2x alpha and 2x gamma, his damage is still capled with just stamina and tyranny? Thays kinda nutty.
For the most part, but close enough. If you want to cap the first normal attack and first hit of Uwe you need to run LotL sigil, but I run it on Wrightstone because it's close enough. Nothing new there, but now there's more incentive to run LotL over Skilled Assault on stone since the first attack is part of rotations.
That Warpath sigil basically makes Id function how I wish he did pre-patch. It never sat right with me how easily you lose out on the benefits of GM as soon you proc the finishers. He feels way better to pilot now.
Id god
Ive decided to learn siegfriend because he's top tier now. this helps a lot thx
What do you think about Seofon? He is really cool. I fell in love with Relink. I truly hope they make a new one with all these characters and many more, if they prefer to do that instead of giving more updates.
I like him a lot, he has a nice flow. Between him, Id and Siegfried I have a lot of playstyle variety.
can you get the new sigil in the transmutation?
Unfortunately, no. Maybe in a future update.
Hey i was curious as to why no 2x beta sigils?
Alpha and Beta are frontloaded, so a lot of characters that have both good normal and skill damage will take one of each. In Seofon's case, Alpha is better than Beta since a lot of his damage comes from his combos. I recommend Beta as a 4th for the frontloaded Skill Cap for better consistency in real fights, but it performs in the same ballpark as 2x Alpha 2x Gamma.
I hardly ever get to Godmight stage to maximize DPS, most of the time I'll get stuck in Dragon form because of SBA chain D: Do you have any tips?
When playing with randoms, I typically open the fight with Rag Form and stall dragon until SBA is ready to go. Dragon SBA charge is pretty insane, so you'll usually get it first with good uptime if you're not playing with someone running FoF lance or an uplift build.
@@SanctusG Uuuu thanksss
New to your channel. Love your guides. Currently still trying to be consistently decent with Id in this behemoth fight the potential is lovely it’s just getting passed the flaws. How do you feel about seofon vs katalina in terms of who can provide the most value ? Regardless of ease of use
With both played optimally I'd rate them about the same, but Kat's going to bring more to the table in online groups thanks to Light Wall and her Warpath buff.
@@SanctusG oh okay nice. Do you mind explaining the benefits of her warpath to me ? It doesn’t have to be detailed it’s just that I heard it makes her way smoother to use but idk any of her mechanics
I think I found a hidden "hold Y" command. It's not too big a deal but I constantly found myself in situations in normal stance where I want to enter avatar stance asap (either the gauge would be enough or maxed by the end of the current combo or there is a link attack incoming but I'm mid combo). It always irked me that I have to complete the combo which also means I have to deal with the end-lag of the gauge-building Y finisher (typically 2nd Y except for combo D), or I have to [dodge] -> guard cancel -> Y. This is where "hold Y" comes in. With it, you no longer need to reset your combo before you can summon avatar. You can do it mid combo! For example, you're doing XXXXY but a link attack triggered in the middle and the window can't accommodate finishing the chain and its end-lag. Doing a "hold Y" will immediately skip to summoning. Specifically, XXX->holdY will do either XXXY->summon (skipping the 2nd Y) or XXX->summon (skipping all the Y's entirely). Though typically you still want a gauge-building Y just not its end-lag, so what I generally do is interrupt combos with Y->holdY or YYholdY Again this is for normal stance. Don't do this in avatar stance. Since this "hidden" command applies there too, it would make you cancel summon.
So glad to finally see a guide call out that you should Avatar State *before* casting Tempesta. Watching some of these other guides where they just waste free Swordshine gauge makes me sad. I also have fun with the Warpath sigil even if keeping the buff is kind of clunky right now, so nice to see someone not write it off as useless. Easily the best Seofon guide out there at the moment. Nice job and thanks for actually testing everything.
Why Tiranny + Combo booster + Stamina? I think Tiranny and Stamina are enough to reach max damage. (At least in the tests I have done on the dummy). Am I wrong?
Even with Combo Booster he's still not reaching all of his caps. He has high ATK requirements.
If you would to see the cap calculations for real the content creator just own as Maygi has a calculator you can copy to google sheets and it’ll tell you exactly how far off from your cap you are

@@SanctusG color and the background
@@dkwjawj I'll try to stick to darker colors, thanks for the heads up.
thoughts on aagg over abgg?
Output should be in the same ballpark, but since we're not capping power strikes I favor the skill cap.
@@SanctusG gotchya, was wondering why some chinese parsers were running it, maybe has to do with gc
During Link Time, do you continue a XXYY combo or do you spam abilities?
I forgot to add a Link Time portion. Yeah, you continue doing the same rotation of XXYY and using abilities as they come up between combo finishers. The only difference is you get a lot more skills + guaranteed max Swordshine. If using Warpath you need to use an Avatar Finisher to refresh your buff as needed / before link time ends.
moment i saw the post I was like oh yea my seofon is about to level up
I didnt even think about running uwe definitely need to apparently
I'm maining him and i think he desperately needs a buff. His avatar gauge build should be buffed for all combo finishers and his warpath sigil should trigger in other combo finishers other than the max swordshine finisher.
His design is definitely a bit weird with the Warpath anti-synergy.
@@SanctusG i don't know what the devs were thinking to release him in this state, when there are characters that can do waaaay more damage much faster and with barely any effort, like Charlotta (my n°1 main) with her Warpath sigil.
I feel like Katalina does more and she’s easier to use lol
How is she with the new warpath ? I have never built her and built damn near everyone else. I was gonna build this guy because the SBA reset looked really useful and he had decent dps potential
@@jpmorgan6146 the new warpath makes her crazy good now
@@jpmorgan6146 Kat with the new warpath is unbelievably amazing now. Seofon's Seven's Star Brilliance will never come up in a regular fight, it taking 5 minutes to activate is too long and then you have to watch the entire animation while everyone's building bar regardless.
Very complicated character lol
is it worth using skill in Godmight now that they increased their damage cap in this form? Or plain finisher spam still better?
It's worth it to dump skills before going into finishers, as they should be back for human.
