I forgot to add a Link Time portion. Yeah, you continue doing the same rotation of XXYY and using abilities as they come up between combo finishers. The only difference is you get a lot more skills + guaranteed max Swordshine. If using Warpath you need to use an Avatar Finisher to refresh your buff as needed / before link time ends.
So glad to finally see a guide call out that you should Avatar State *before* casting Tempesta. Watching some of these other guides where they just waste free Swordshine gauge makes me sad. I also have fun with the Warpath sigil even if keeping the buff is kind of clunky right now, so nice to see someone not write it off as useless. Easily the best Seofon guide out there at the moment. Nice job and thanks for actually testing everything.
Very nice guide that covers a lot of details that aren't covered by other guides, especially gauge optimization. Glad to hear someone who can agree that warpath is situationally useful. I always thought it was if you can land it in the right windows. I noticed that I don't use skills first when I'm in avatar stance, instead doing XXXXY to gain 1 swordshine before using skills. Since the skills cd are fairly long its probably worth delaying a bit just to get the buff from swordshine. I am running a build focused on XXYY with no supplementary damage because I don't have suppV+ at all which helps me cap most of XXYY's damage, except for power strike (XXY) during avatar stance (around 10% from cap). Overmasteries: Normal Attack Cap 20% Crit 20% Chain burst cap Chain burst damage (+1000 attack would be nice to replace it but I haven't got it yet) Imbue: Crit rate lv7 Crit damage lv7 Sigils: Alpha / Dmg Cap Crit rate / Dmg Cap Gamma / Dmg Cap Gamma / Dmg Cap Stamina / Attack Power Tyranny / Attack Power Life on the Line/ Potion Hoarder Combo Booster / Improved Dodge War Elemental Warpath Boundary Awakening / Awakening Replacing Warpath with Supp V on fights thats difficult to utilize warpath
I think I found a hidden "hold Y" command. It's not too big a deal but I constantly found myself in situations in normal stance where I want to enter avatar stance asap (either the gauge would be enough or maxed by the end of the current combo or there is a link attack incoming but I'm mid combo). It always irked me that I have to complete the combo which also means I have to deal with the end-lag of the gauge-building Y finisher (typically 2nd Y except for combo D), or I have to [dodge] -> guard cancel -> Y. This is where "hold Y" comes in. With it, you no longer need to reset your combo before you can summon avatar. You can do it mid combo! For example, you're doing XXXXY but a link attack triggered in the middle and the window can't accommodate finishing the chain and its end-lag. Doing a "hold Y" will immediately skip to summoning. Specifically, XXX->holdY will do either XXXY->summon (skipping the 2nd Y) or XXX->summon (skipping all the Y's entirely). Though typically you still want a gauge-building Y just not its end-lag, so what I generally do is interrupt combos with Y->holdY or YYholdY Again this is for normal stance. Don't do this in avatar stance. Since this "hidden" command applies there too, it would make you cancel summon.
This is really well done you brought out full potential of Seofen! Any interest in creating guides for the other high skill ceiling characters like Ghandagoza, Katalina, Vaseraga?
What do you think about Seofon? He is really cool. I fell in love with Relink. I truly hope they make a new one with all these characters and many more, if they prefer to do that instead of giving more updates.
New to your channel. Love your guides. Currently still trying to be consistently decent with Id in this behemoth fight the potential is lovely it’s just getting passed the flaws. How do you feel about seofon vs katalina in terms of who can provide the most value ? Regardless of ease of use
With both played optimally I'd rate them about the same, but Kat's going to bring more to the table in online groups thanks to Light Wall and her Warpath buff.
@@SanctusG oh okay nice. Do you mind explaining the benefits of her warpath to me ? It doesn’t have to be detailed it’s just that I heard it makes her way smoother to use but idk any of her mechanics
Why Tiranny + Combo booster + Stamina? I think Tiranny and Stamina are enough to reach max damage. (At least in the tests I have done on the dummy). Am I wrong?
If you would to see the cap calculations for real the content creator just own as Maygi has a calculator you can copy to google sheets and it’ll tell you exactly how far off from your cap you are
I'm maining him and i think he desperately needs a buff. His avatar gauge build should be buffed for all combo finishers and his warpath sigil should trigger in other combo finishers other than the max swordshine finisher.
@@SanctusG i don't know what the devs were thinking to release him in this state, when there are characters that can do waaaay more damage much faster and with barely any effort, like Charlotta (my n°1 main) with her Warpath sigil.
Alpha and Beta are frontloaded, so a lot of characters that have both good normal and skill damage will take one of each. In Seofon's case, Alpha is better than Beta since a lot of his damage comes from his combos. I recommend Beta as a 4th for the frontloaded Skill Cap for better consistency in real fights, but it performs in the same ballpark as 2x Alpha 2x Gamma.
How is she with the new warpath ? I have never built her and built damn near everyone else. I was gonna build this guy because the SBA reset looked really useful and he had decent dps potential
@@jpmorgan6146 Kat with the new warpath is unbelievably amazing now. Seofon's Seven's Star Brilliance will never come up in a regular fight, it taking 5 minutes to activate is too long and then you have to watch the entire animation while everyone's building bar regardless.
During Link Time, do you continue a XXYY combo or do you spam abilities?

Best guide seriously now i realy learnt things about seofon
Thank you for a very detail guide!
He is very hard to play but very rewarding if you can master him.
I will save my energy for Sandalphon for now xD
Damn, quite impressive, thanks for the video
All the information, quick and easy.
moment i saw the post I was like oh yea my seofon is about to level up
I brought him to Luciliius for the 1st time before watching this video , oh boy it was miserable for me 🤣

I like him a lot, he has a nice flow. Between him, Id and Siegfried I have a lot of playstyle variety.
Can you do another video with the new patch if there is a new build more suited for him ?
Most of the time despedazar, sends the dummy on the air, how do you avoid that ?
Turn off "Reactive Sir Barrold" in training settings. If you're doing score attack then it's just something you have to work around.

Even with Combo Booster he's still not reaching all of his caps. He has high ATK requirements.
