Denver's first suspension was literally for speeding. Let's stop acting like we've never met an 18yo with a fast car. As far as the pot thing goes I guess y'all supported kicking the honey badger off the team a decade ago too.

Also I think it's funny to bash on Matthews when the only reason he's not here is bc we bought Perkins so the ags had a bunch more money to throw around and we couldn't get our shit together quick enough. That kid couldn't afford not to take that and believe me when I say if there's financially a way to get him home that makes sense he wouldn't blink.

I think Orgeron got a bit of a raw deal from fans at LSU. He assembled arguably the greatest team and orchestrated the greatest season of all time....followed by an unprecedented two year stretch of Covid pandemic seasons. How many players didn't play because of that? How many would have stayed with the program if Covid had not happened? Would everything have turned out differently? We will never know. I'm not saying Orgeron was a great X's and O's coach, he wasn't, what he was, was a coach that inspired his players and knew how to gather talent around him. That said, I think Kelly is on his way to becoming one of the great coaches that LSU will treasure going forward.

If covid didnt happen it would still be bad. The man got his success and didnt know how to handle it. Cared more about himself and being seen than establishing a consistent, winning football team. It's almost as if he wanted to prove people wrong and once he did (and made his money), he was done

@@tigergirlkita To remove a Louisiana son from LSU for a yankee tells me that there is more to the story than win loss. It started with his decision not to support his black players in their vocal attempt to support the anti-police, Black Lives Matter movements. He did not respond to female student's complaints about his players behavior with them. There was divorce, a younger women in Ed's life. There was a lot more going on, and the program didn't seem to have structure and a clear vision.

@@ivansalazar5448 that's easy for you to say but you don't know about their lives and situations. If their family was struggling and knew that with the money they received they could pay off a debt or move their family out of a bad situation you would take it. He chose money for the opportunity to help his family. He made a sacrifice that im sure was enticing to his family and the choice was made by them. Yeah Les Miles had two 8-win seasons in 12 years, and those were his worst. That’s a good year at A&M, and I don’t think they get there this year. Les never lost to a G5 team. Yes sir! That’s what a great college head coach should be doing! I was a little dissatisfying at first thinking he is focusing too much on academics and character when some players are clearly destined for nfl and don’t need the degree ever! But after seeing what he has built with kayshon and the relationship he has with other players on this team, I stand corrected! Academics is just as important when your a student athlete as it just shows responsibility and no one is guaranteed anything and having that backup degree is so beneficial especially if they get it in something meaningful to life like business or marketing and not arts and black history lol. I was always the guy that was willing to give pass to any good or great player that we needed on the field when it came to failing a class or passing with help others don’t get but it seems that’s part of character building always impacts your game performance and preparation and respect for your other teammates that are putting the same amount of work in as you are. Those kids may not understand why the degree is also so important at that moment but usually by the time they are 30 or thee tkme when they have career end short or retire that realize it and see more than grateful if the reason that they have it is due to a great coach like BK emphasis on that part of student athlete responsibility!
I love my new Lsu tigers HC in BK!

I absolutely ❤LSU and always have but let’s be honest. If I would have been offered a significant amount of money as a high school senior to go somewhere else it would have been VERY hard to turn it down. I grew up in a middle income family in the 80’s and money was tight. I actually joined the army so my education was paid for. A lot of these kids are poor. Some very poor. How can you blame them? Seriously..I do not.
And neither should you. If you do then you never had to watch your parents not fix the AC in the family vehicle so you could have a decent prom. Much less skip meals and doctor’s appointments for their child.

I don't think the reason why A&M had a top tier class last year is because of the money so much. I think the reason why they did so well in recruitment last year is because LSU was in shambles. Coach O put us in a bad way last year. Coach Kelly and winning changes things. The players that he mentioned are from Louisiana and they might not get the money they get at A&M but winning Championships still matter. The only player I don't want back at LSU is QB Max Johnson. He's the reason for our slump if you ask me. Had he stayed we'd have a Top 2 or 3 QB in the SEC, a third year QB, and one who has chemistry with Boutte and Nabers. He can make the throws in this offense and he'd probably be a Heisman candidate. He messed up by transferring to A&M and it's costing him.

Your personal take on TEXAS A&M's racially slurred and profane football team stadium entrance song created by a racist musical "artist"?

@@joeltinney5000 ? Your thoughts on A&M at one time being associated with racial slurs, profanity and a racist song artist?

@@joeltinney5000 This one of the memos that perhaps hastened the eradication of both Mr. Wests sweet little gem and Gaminos mess:
The TH-cam profanity algorithm will not permit the posting of the lyrics. Many websites such as TexAgs and 247 also will not permit the posting of the lyrics. Sadly, even discussion of the song is taboo. Trust me. Why would that be?
The song "Power" (@Texas A&M Univ.) , created by a known racist, is played as the football team entrance piece just prior to kick-off for the AGGIES at Kyle Field. Some are claiming.."yeah, it's racially slurred and profane, but we don't sing the lyrics"- "It's just an instrumental". Others, "We play the clean version it's just a brief hype piece". If not for those horrendous lyrics, this song never would have existed. "You can't even hear the racially slurred and profane lyrics.." Should A&M align itself with an artist/song that so freely promotes the use of racial slurs and profanity? A song producer that recently had some very racist remarks directed towards the Jewish community. It's saddening and confusing the lengths of rationalization some people will take to try and justify the existence of something that reflects so poorly on TX A&M. Heck, us as a civilized society.. What hinders us from taking the logical course of action? One of the chief obstacles to progressive change here is the fact that so few Aggies are even aware of the lyrics. That will change.
But, what if the song contained lyrics promoting cop killing? Or encouraged the resumption of slavery? Or the abuse of children? Or disparaging remarks/slurs directed towards the LGBT or the Jewish community? Would an "instrumental version" remain acceptable and appropriate knowing full well what those lyrics are? Are there any lines that can't be crossed today? Based on the former OU coach who recently resigned and the backlash created by the spectator at a BYU volleyball game, the data suggests there are. Musician Morgan Wallen was barred from the ACM award function just last year for using a racial slur. Recognize, trust and believe the data. Some things are just not acceptable. Others have suggested it's OK for a person of color to use these shameful and hurtful slurs and others can't...some might argue this is racist. We should think long and hard about that one. Does it really benefit anybody? That's a confusing and dangerous road to take. It's not OK. Learning to respect yourself might make respecting others an easier choice. Perhaps not? Regardless, the extreme profanity with MF-bombs, references to sexual acts and even sexual organs in the song's lyrics should make the decision an easy one. Yeah, it's chocked full of beneficial goodness. The selection of such a crude song is very perplexing. At best. It's tradition now, but does that make it any less toxic and inappropriate? Google the lyrics...you'll be shocked. A state supported institution no less...tax supported. One that prides itself on producing leaders.. What is the priority here? The end-game? Perhaps there wasn't an over-riding scheme/intent behind the decision maker's selection. If there was, the selection of this song in particular is somewhat distressing and clearly runs counter to our school's
Statement from The Texas A&M University System Council on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
Regardless of its popularity, we ought to be better than this. Our core values.....are some departments exempt perhaps? The AGGIE CODE of HONOR: "Is an effort to unify the aims of all Texas A&M men and women toward a high code of ethics and personal dignity ". Do we have a somewhat disturbing disconnect here? A classic case of lack of institutional control perhaps? We should be setting the standard, not burying our heads in the sand and looking the other way. Need to walk the talk IMO.
A&M has a golden opportunity here at becoming part of the answer, not the problem.

Do we covet A&M players so bad we do videos about it and then post them on TH-cam? Obviously, some of us do.
