It’s worse in year two because of losses and because they didn’t stop gaps with transfers. I think they miscalculated how quickly they could rebuild with freshmen (including 2022 freshmen). I think we get some additional stops from Brooks if he’s still there. I think we expected more from guys like Harris.

Im sure BK will make some changes after the season. If House survives, he deserves another shot next year especially if the defense improves over the remainder of the season. These guys are very young and our roster isnt fully loaded quite yet.

The good news is: with this offense the defense only has to improve incrementally to win out.

I never had high, high hopes for Kelly. I think he will keep LSU competitive, but he takes weaks off, and may not be the greatest talent evaluator. On top of that, I am not sure Nuss wont be a great drop off next year.

No, I dont think he can. Great coaches make in game adjustments....not wait 5,6 games into the season to realize that there is an issue...

Tackling, internal motor - following the play, aggression, and knowing your assignments all seem to be things that this defense is in the woods on. They definitely have good enough talent to play with these teams and defense is a phase of ball that runs on ego and balls, but there seem to be glaring fundamentals that are shaky with this group.
