He does a live talk on Facebook every morning at 7:30 in English and 9:00 in Spanish that you can join in with. We are called The Perseverance Family. At 2:00 pm M-F he has a group talk called The Ignatian Forum. 3:00 is Divine Mercy prayer. I have never seen a priest work as hard as Father Broom. He is constantly teaching, saying multiple Masses and hearing confessions. Pray for Father Broom and his ministry and that he becomes a Saint! 🙏❤️🔥🕊️
Dear Fr. Bloom, you were the first person/priest I heard talk about a general confession; about a year ago. Then several instances happened that kept telling me to do one. Then I started hearing about a time when we will all face a time of forced Illumination of Conscience by God. Will that happen? I don't know. Many church mystics have said and other professes to have experienced it. I finally made a general confession. For months I examined myself and finally went to Reconciliation. Up until the day of confession I was still recalling things I had done that were sinful. My conscience was so heavy that day. I don't know what it would be like if God showed me everything I have done against Him. - I feel drained but happy. I am going to Our Lady's Mariam Apparition in Green Bay to give thanks tomorrow. I prayed to Her and Padre Pio and the Holy Spirit to help me confess. - I don't know what tomorrow will bring but I give it up to our Lord now. May He forgive me. I lie now entirely on His mercy. But thank you father, for leading me to do such a confession. When I was in Los Angeles I wanted to see you for this but circumstance didn't allow it. - Maybe this would be a whole other kind of RETREAT to lead people on. To do a General Confession one weekend. It is not easy. It was gut wrenching for me. But know I am so thankful and thankful to you for talking about this. God bless you Fr. Bloom.

I left the church and came back . I fear that I’m not going to remember every single sin plus how many times. Why is it so important to state how many times you did something? If you are having to recall over 60 years of your life, unless people keep a journal with a running count, you can’t possibly know how many times. And if you guess, and it’s wrong, then you are still in big trouble. Why can’t confession be a simpler process? Why can’t you just say multiple times over years? Do I have to bring a calculator to confession? I don’t recall learning all of this in school.
I have to agree with you. Confession is the worst part of my life. I don't like it to be honest. Never learned any of this growing up. What if we didn't see this video? We wouldn't know any of this. A few of the priests I have confessed to turned out to be less than stellar. One even made negative headlines in the newspaper and I'm supposed to confess to sinners way worse than me. How do I know my confession was even valid in light of this priest's character. God knows me and what I've done. I always confess directly to God. And I do manage to get to confession but it's problematic. To top it off, my priest never asks how many times. Go figure. Being Catholic is an Olympic feat. Haven't won any medals yet according to what I read. Have a blessed day!!

I have only done one general confession in my whole Life and I wasn"t prepared for it thus leaving the Confessional as empty as when I entered.I'm a convert so to speak .Baptized Catholic @ birth, but for the first 12 years I was raised by my Baptist grandparents, actualy Fr. Yes, very down to earth explanation of confessions. The fear and anxiety, inhibition,of what to begin and say can be an enlightening process for it Many wrong doings may be forgotten, how to go back , retract them, you have pave the way way.
Yes...agree I started to use thus asking Holy spirit to guide me andnsee what and how to confess.. I actually went quite deep and deeper on each confession.. I found all the priests assisting in confession brought me either a better understanding..or guidance or enlightenment. I know it was graces so God could cleanse me deeper so I can give myself better to give in what I do... This really helped..is nit my 1st time to oisten how to make a good confession.. I think we need to 1st learn HOW TO DO A EXAMINATION OF CONSCIENCE...

DO yiur best with the guidance of the Holy spirit..in each area of your life since childhood.... Holy spirit and graces after each confession will help you to "do review and deep knowledge comes" and then you will know what are sins of omission versus comission... The degree of wrongdoing..etc.. All is cleared.. Just as soon as you see into your soul something to confess..Ask for the graces.write things down .. It is what YOU DID or did notndo.. The Intension..etc. And pray when you need a priest to confess. GOD will grant you the priest Thus helped me tremendously

The good thief , the first saint , didn't need to confess his sins to a priest, he accepted Christ, he was truly remorseful and repentant, confessed directly to Christ. He was saved and went to be with Christ in paradise. Read the Bible , the truth is there.
Fr. Broom this goes against church teaching a general confession Is only permitted in grave circumstances and a priest must be granted permission by his bishop. If in emergency situation natural disaster or war the priest does a general confession without a bishop and most prepare the people with the prayers of the church. Apart from such situations a person must go to confessions.. God bless you fr. Broom but this is very misleading and dangerous guidance you are giving to a soul who maybe in turmoil. (Catholic church) Each and every sin must be confessed to a priest for the salvation of a person's soul. Our lady of Fatima pray for us.
Did you listen to his talk? General absolution is only valid if a group of people are facing immediate certain death … example: a troop marching into frontline battle. Fr. Bloom explains the confession is reviewing your entire life for mortal sins and confessing them one on one with a priest.
Cry out to the Lord Jesus Christ. Open your Bible, read Galatians, read Psalms. Pray. Believe like a little child that God is a good Father. God is good and merciful through our Lord Jesus Christ, not holding our sins against us. He died in your place, He knows your circumstances. Ask Him to fill you with the Holy Spirit until He does! He is faithful and merciful and good. I will say a prayer for you.
Hi Fr.Broom I am 75 and never heard of a General Confession as you described it . I thought a general confession was when a penitent was away from confession for years and decides to go again, not being able to recall the exact number of times he missed Mass or cursed his neighbour , he would confess " I missed Mass for over 10 years , and I cursed many times , and I told many lies.How can a person who is away from the confession for years be able to recall exact numbers? . I would be interested to see a copy of the document you were giving out to all the people in the church --24 pages I heard you say . I also heard you say that we should write down all the sins of our past life , but I was taught that once we confessed our sins in confession to forget them , ---as God also does. So why try and remember forgiven and forgotten past sins .? My sister in LA sent me your connection and talk but I reckon it was given months ago . Anyway send me a copy of 24 page document please. This Priest while albeit a good Priest, endangers his ministry by fostering guilt and fear upon his listeners, something the Demons are experts in, and for too long, less enlightened Clergy fall into using. The correct approach is that made by St Francis of Assisi, the first Saint to receive the Crucified marks of Christ Jesus. Get to know Jesus. Meditate often on Him and His Words. Imitate Jesus. Speak of Jesus' love for broken humanity. Draw others back to Jesus, by a burning love for the joy of Holiness, not fear of punishment. MY HUSBAND HIT ME AND IT TOO A LONG TIME TO LEARN TO LOVE HIM.THEN HE DIED AS A RESULT. I THINK SHOCK AFTER HE REALIZED. POOR MAN. I love him.the damage is bad.i still love him,and the people who were so i nfair.MY condition i called it "lockED out". No priest comes to me at all.i pray for them. I love our Mary and Our Lord. BUT. WHAT CONFESSION CAN HELP WITHOUT A PRIEST.

The good thief , the first saint , didn't need to confess his sins to a priest, he accepted Christ, he was truly remorseful and repentant, confessed directly to Christ. He was saved and went to be with Christ in paradise. Read the Bible , the truth is there.

Fr. Broom this goes against church teaching a general confession Is only permitted in grave circumstances and a priest must be granted permission by his bishop. If in emergency situation natural disaster or war the priest does a general confession without a bishop and most prepare the people with the prayers of the church. Apart from such situations a person must go to confessions.. God bless you fr. Broom but this is very misleading and dangerous guidance you are giving to a soul who maybe in turmoil. (Catholic church) Each and every sin must be confessed to a priest for the salvation of a person's soul. Our lady of Fatima pray for us.

Fr. Bloom explains the confession is reviewing your entire life for mortal sins and confessing them one on one with a priest.

Cry out to the Lord Jesus Christ. Open your Bible, read Galatians, read Psalms. Pray. Believe like a little child that God is a good Father. God is good and merciful through our Lord Jesus Christ, not holding our sins against us. He died in your place, He knows your circumstances. Ask Him to fill you with the Holy Spirit until He does! He is faithful and merciful and good. I will say a prayer for you.

Hi Fr.Broom I am 75 and never heard of a General Confession as you described it . I thought a general confession was when a penitent was away from confession for years and decides to go again, not being able to recall the exact number of times he missed Mass or cursed his neighbour , he would confess " I missed Mass for over 10 years , and I cursed many times , and I told many lies.How can a person who is away from the confession for years be able to recall exact numbers? . I would be interested to see a copy of the document you were giving out to all the people in the church --24 pages I heard you say . I also heard you say that we should write down all the sins of our past life , but I was taught that once we confessed our sins in confession to forget them , ---as God also does. So why try and remember forgiven and forgotten past sins .?

Get to know Jesus.
Meditate often on Him and His Words.
Imitate Jesus.
Speak of Jesus' love for broken humanity. Draw others back to Jesus, by a burning love for the joy of Holiness, not fear of punishment.
Do this, and more souls will be saved and won over to Jesus' Gospel.
Pax et Bonum.
A healthy fear of the Lord is what he
