Both sound great, I think the Henrik would function a little more streamlined with the way the toggle and with the neck profile setup. The Fender had a "slight" chunkier sound a little cleaner and more flexible with the PUPs. Overall, in a live setting with a full band in the mix my thought would be there would be little to no difference that an audience would point out.
Glad I got the charvel but I love that fender too I wanna build a parts caster exactly like the charvel cause fender sells necks with reverse headstock now for like 300 bucks
Nice playing! The Fender sounded nicer to me, although I own the Charvel and it's one of my favorite axes. Guess it's build for metal and does a great job 👍
@@HollywoodRareGuitars Thanks for the reply Big fan of strats & super strats what ever make. Always lean to fender . Players seem to forget Fast Eddie from Motorhead . He put a humbucker In his strat 1975.. Catch ya later bro.
I'd take the HD. It has such a cool-factor. That paint has to go though, and maybe a black pickguard. Did I mention I already have a Strat? 😁 That IS a very nice Strat, however.
Fender of course. Dunno why and dunno how bit they always do. Tele strat precision jazz. U name it. Is it that classic Floyd rose strat with the dimarzio bridge??
The Charvel wins imo. Ash sounds better with a hb'er than alder or poplar (I'm pretty sure that Fender is one of those/alder or poplar). I think the neck single coil sounds better in the Fender though. I think that the Henrik Charvel would be even better if it had a Duncan classic hotstack single in the neck and a Duncan Custom Custom as compared to whats in it ( Duncan JB/ Dimarzio Area '67). I also think that a non recessed (cavity) for the Floyd is the way to go for more tone and punch ( I believe that particular Henrik is non recessed top loaded ?) One more thing, the German OFR is the BEST double locking unit on the planet, so there is another little switcheroo that would make an AWESOME sounding guitar even better (not a fan of the Korean made Floyds). One more thing, awesome tone and playing bro 🤘
Not sure about a custom custom. I tried an alnico 2 pickup - the evh Wolfgang - in the Charvel. IIRC it was a little muddy in the low end. The Duncan Custom, however, sounds great in it.
Keep on going man I could watch you all day.

Nice, I think fender is my number one, charvel is great, but for a backup for me
Both sounds great, but the Henrik Charvel have a much better neck. 👍

Yeah I prefer the fender, but wish it was more white and a little relic
just change out the humbucker on Charvel it will sound better
I think I like the charvel better
Word
To my ears the strat had slightly more depth...
And a hint of natural reverb
From the trem springs.
But wouldn't say no to either.
Great vid as usual.
Cool thanks for checking it out. I might would say the Fender as my number 1 and Charvel for backup

I prefer the Fender, the Charvel is gone

Fender sounds more cleaner.

Fender all the way! What pickups do you have in the fender?
Seymour Duncan, probably JB
