the nuke didnt kill him… the more damage he takes the longer it takes for him to rewind. Gunshots were instant, small explosives took a few seconds… so in theory the nuke would make him take a while longer. (I tested and i was right)
as the creator of the suggestion i felt the need to disprove this i retested it, 13 nukes at point blank (just like the video) and what do you know, even after setting the sound to music box to make it easier to tell if it was rewinding it did not rewind. try again
you can actually get rid of him by pausing time and using the decimator to remove him fully. you can also hook up an industrial generator to one to create a black hole, which would probably also kill the time traveler. also, the anti-matter gun could've worked if you had paused time and removed all of his pieces with it. you can right click it and click repair to repair the weapon.

I've actually toyed around with the Rewind mod for a little bit of time since I saw it, got hooked with it and prefer the music box as the rewinding noise over the ticking. I had found a way to kill him and prevent him from rewinding his personal timeline. REDUCE HIM TO MERE ATOMS. DECREASE HIS EXISTING LIFE, BLOW HIM TO LITERAL NOTHINGNESS. In other words, it's the fusion bomb. I want you to place a fusion bomb, RIGHT in front of his clocky little face, and detonate it. Trust me as you read this: It always worked.

Pause the game and put half of him in one box, and the other half in the second box. Make sure the boxes are frozen. Then let it play out and he won't be able to reform due to the walls of both boxes.
