Never Never Never was recorded and released on Shirley's 1973 LP titled, 'Shirley Bassey - Never Never Never'. This was the title song.
ABOUT the LP - Never Never Never:
Never Never Never is a 1973 album by Shirley Bassey. Released in May 1973, this album saw a peak in the Shirley Bassey career revival that she was experiencing during the early 1970s. The album's lead single, the title track had been a hit, reaching No.8 in the UK Charts and remaining in the top 50 for 19 weeks, becoming one of her biggest and most well-known hits, and her only single to make three US charts: No. 48 on the Billboard Hot 100, No.8 on the Adult Contemporary Chart, and No. 67 on the R&B Chart. The album soon followed and similarly entered the top 10, peaking at No. 10 during a 10 week run, and would go on to earn a silver disc. The album also was a hit in the US, peaking at No. 60 on the Billboard 200 amid positive reviews; it also hit No. 34 on the R&B Chart.

I was in my teens when I discovered Shirley Bassey. I'm 63 now and still believes she's the the best vocalist of all time! The power of that beautiful voice will never be equaled.

As a young girl, I was ahead of my time. Classics by Matt Munroe, Shirley Bassey, Tom Jones and others of that era mesmerized me. Much older now, I took a trip down memory lane last night. I began with "Yesterday when I was young" by Matt. Then I switched to Shirley, and I haven't stopped since . It's now 5:17 PM the following day, and I've been listening to Shirley since noon today. I'm now listening to Engelbert Humperdinck singing the same song Yesterday when I was young. Why am I saying all this? I just want to say thank you TH-cam: a perfect escape from politics and prime time. Thanks for a sensational form of escapism - being mesmerized by Shirley.

When she sings, she is telling a story. I am now 53 years old and I've been listening to Shirley Bassey since I was a teenager. One Sunday I heard the song Never Never Never and I run to get my cassette and taped it. I practiced that song until I know it. The reality of that song will always live on because it was an experience being shared that most of us can attest to.
My mom loves this song but she don't know how to use smartphones after decades she now again listened to this song I just searched the lyrics that she told me that stucked on her head coz she don't know who's the singer and even the title of this song

Shirley used to stay(on a regular basis) at the hotel where I worked (The Dorchester) She heard (through her secretary) that four of us were going to her concert at the Albert Hall.We were up graded to first class(front row) seats,and were invited to meet Shirley backstage after,including champagne and canapes.Off stage Shirley is very normal,trainers,jeans,sweat shirt,bobble hat and sunglasses.You would't really give her a second look.

The original songwriters signed off on this, and are listed as the songwriters for both the Grande Grande Grande (Italian) and Never Never Never (English) versions. The English version was a huge hit for Shirley on several continents.

I have too much respect for you as a woman singer and an artist. But I'm afraid yours is a cover...official or not is your own version from an original Italian song, hence a cover!!
I even disagree when said that it has rewritten in English as some sentences are exactly the right translation from Italian. As for another example: Dio come ti amo it's another cover. Nothing wrong with the covers. And I'm sure the writers and Mina agreed to let you do your own version because of who you are and your voice hence sure it would have been an international hit.
They would have refused to give it to Sandie Show or Petula Clark so to speak.
