The winner of this fight depends on where the fight takes place. In a large, deep body of water the Great White Shark has the advantage. In a shallow body of water, the crocodile has the advantage.
It's crazy that in almost all animal duel videos, the crocodile is so demeaned to better promote the white shark. This is again what we see here. The maximum size of the saltwater crocodile is absolutely not 18 feet (5.5 m), but rather 22 to 23 feet (6.7 to 7 m). For bite force, a 2 ton white shark does not bite with 4000 psi, since this bite force is an estimate for the largest specimen of white shark recorded (around 3.5 tons). 3700 psi is the force of a 15 foot long saltwater crocodile, but we cannot say that it is the largest crocodile. In 2012, a study estimated the bite force of the largest specimens (20 to 23 feet) at 2.8 to 3.5 tons of pressure. I'm not here to say that the crocodile would win a hypothetical fight against a white shark, but favoring an animal considered more emblematic by exaggerating its features and giving incorrect information about a "less emblematic" animal should not be the approach to adopt.
@@tylerthefreediver655 It's exactly the same for the great white shark, no precisely measured specimen has reached 23 feet. But it remains a rank of maximum possible size. And it is also a maximum possible size range for the saltwater crocodile (and this is recognized by many, if not the majority, of herpethologists and biologists). In addition, and although this is not confirmed, two enormous croc skulls preserved in museums would reasonably indicate sizes between 21 and 23 feet. So no, I never said there was a confirmed 23 foot crocodile specimen, and what I say is not incorrect. What is incorrect is to say that 18 feet (5.5 m) is the maximum size of the saltwater croc, as this time there are several confirmed records exceeding this size.
@@ramizparkar4199 The crocodile head in question was found near the mouth of a river, which indicates that the croc would have been killed upstream of the river, and not in the open sea, therefore in shallow water and possibly in fresh water. Experts believe it is very unlikely that a great white shark would be found in this type of environment, given that the species does not tolerate fresh water like the bull shark. The identity of the shark (or predator) that killed this Nile crocodile therefore remains a mystery.
@@ramizparkar4199 Precisely, the experts were also skeptical about the fact that it was a bull shark, given that the crocodile was of good size (not the largest however) and that the head seemed to have been cut off cleanly and on the first suddenly, without any other apparent signs of struggle. If it was indeed a bull shark, it must have been pretty darn huge, given that the croc must have been 10 to 12 feet long, and a bull shark rarely exceeds 10 feet. It also had to be big enough to swallow the croc's head and cut it off on the first try without the crocodile having time to struggle. So I remain skeptical.
the great white shark has a bite force weaker than 4000psi accaully that study was from a 4 toned great white not a 2 toned one and in the ocean the great white wins mid but in the river the croc wins high diff
Indeed, the 4000 psi is only valid for the largest white shark ever recorded (around 3.5 tons). Conversely, 3700 psi represents the bite force of a 15 foot long saltwater crocodile, so not the largest of crocs. A 2012 study clearly gives an estimate of 2.8 to 3.5 tons of pressure in the jaw of the largest crocodile specimens (20 to 23 feet long). So yes, the crocodile does indeed have the strongest bite in the animal kingdom.
