    I have issues where the printer simply ignores every setting and prints over saturated. Im not talking "in my opinion" Im talking blue suits are purple, flesh is red. Iven if I have photoshop saturation slider to make it a black and white photo. It prints color and over saturated. in windows it is set to no correct colors, in the drivers it is sent, in the epson software it is set and photoshop is set to manage the colors.

    Hello sir, I have come to you because you seem to be the most knowledgeable person on printers I have seen. So I must ask you a question here. It is about an HP K8600 ( its an older model). I bought this printer used on Facebook and it had bad print heads so I fixed it, and bought a CISS for it for $30.00 and it came full of ink which I wasn't expecting. I was so happy until I printed and all the colors are way off, my pinks look brown my teals look green, I don't know what to do... I figured I could change out the color management but I also use other printers and don't want to ruin all the settings for all of the printers so I am wondering if there is another way to calibrate colors so that they are at least in the right ballpark.... thank you

    Is the bottom line here that a modern printer is so color-accurate "out of the box" when used with the manufacturer's paper that I can just trust the printed image as a reference? So, print one and tweak the screen?
    I landed here because I just set up a new Canon G7020 and was disappointed in a printed image (seemed pale) and very disappointed in a scanned image, which seemed to have lost most of the color of the original. But, then I stepped back and had no idea how to separate printer calibration from screen. I think you are saying to trust the printed image and start from there.

    Well, my photos print dark with Canon Selphy cp1200, and surely my monitor is NOT calibrated at all. But that doesn't matter at all! Why I hear you saying?
    Because I rely on the histogram!
    And the histogram tells me the image is correct. But it prints super dark, no detail at all in the shadows.
    So, I guess the problem is how Photoshop deals with color profiles.
    Do you have any advise on that topic and for dummies?

Does the Qimage program have to be constantly be activated and or minimized for it to do the scheduled printing or will the program automatically launch or activate by itself. Lastly, can my computer be in a sleep mode for the unclog schedule tool to work. I'm leaving the country for a month and don't want to come back to a clogged printer head. Thanks in advance. Mahalo

    Hi, i did my paper profiling with my 1yr old i1 Studio device + new ccStudio app on windows 10 Pro 21H2. My monitor (BenQ SW2700PT) is calibrated too. So i decided to print on my new Epson L1800 A3+ printer with paper profile. I set a new doc with no color management 8 bit and dragged a sRGB image in doc and i did the soft proofing with paper profile and prints didn't came as same as on screen. But when i use my old printer Epson L1350 with sRGB doc profile it and set no colour management settings for print its then prints come match to screen. What could be the issue. What should i need to do to fix this.

    • @cheo1949
      @cheo1949  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Obviously both printers are not outputting close. You don't say what you print with. I would suggest you print a standard image with your newer printer. Letting the driver control color using EPSON paper choose ICM not SRGB. That is the worst choice. Chose the paper that matches the EPSON paper you are using. Not some other paper. And choose ICM are you color choice in the DRIVER. Tell your editing app to allow the printer to control color. Assuming your inks are also EPSON of course.

    • @cheo1949

      Price has no direct connection to quality here. The Eco Tank prints will cost a lot more at the beginning because ink refills will very cheap and in many cases you can switch to 3rd party inks due to these printers not using chips. Look at what colors are included in the stock ink set. 4 is so so. 6 is much better.

    I just started to do a water and Windex flush of 8 CLI-42 cartridges I bought on Ebay. I just completed two cartridges and the issue I'm having trouble with is the 60ml syringe, when I fill it up with Windex to flush out the cartridge, the rubber seal gets harder and harder to slide easily on the inside wall of the syringe to the point where the rubber seal gets pulled off the plunger. I have two of these 60ml syringes and the same thing happens to both of them, very frustrating; so for now I've stopped flushing out the other 6 CLI-42 cartridges until I come up with a solution or a suggestion that would address this problem. I'm sure it's the Ammonia causing the friction. Anyone else experiencing this problem and have come up with a solution? Thanks in advance.

      @@cheo1949 Thanks for the reply. I think I have another solution, which I'm going to try tomorrow. You know the catheter tip that comes with the 60ml syringe that fits perfectly and snugly into the refill hole. Well, I glued the catheter tip to a condiment squeeze bottle with Gorilla Glue. I'm 99% sure it'll work with no more issues with the rubber seal getting stuck. Now I'll be able to flush out the remaining 6 cartridges without getting stressed; LOL. Oh yeah, I thought of another idea of buying an aquarium air pump with a dual oxygen port; hookup two 4 Aquarium Oxygen Air Flow Splitter for a total of eight and gluing the hoses to eight catheter tips and insert them into the refill port for faster drying time. What do you think; go or no go? I'm lazy and impatient; LOL.
