I am making a trip to Tokyo in December and hope that the used watch market softens even more. Trying to pick up a Batgirl or Pepsi for better than I can find on the Grey market in the US. Looking at the Batman in your video, def lower than I could find here, so I have hope.
Prices for flights that time of year are expensive, might spend more in total flying out to HK than the difference between Tokyo and HG :( @@UptickWatchReviews
@@UptickWatchReviewsRespectfully disagree - there are actually reports of people walking into Rolex ADs in Tokyo and buying sport watches at MSRP new. And the Rolex sport model prices (at least the ones I’m tracking) on Chrono from JPN are significantly lower than others.
Agree. I wish no one bad luck but recession is inevitable for much of the world and could get very bad if OPEC continues to cut production and we get $150 oil.

@@Huangcolin I think from all the videos, Uptick recommended generally shops around Yau Ma Tei area. Start with London watch. Mongkok area might worth a try too as its less “commercialised “. Typically Rolexes are aplenty in all these areas.
I think you're probably more in tune with the market than I am, given your global presence, but I have a lot of years of experience in this "hobby" and I don't really feel like the watch market is going to or is currently suffering from a recession, instead it's more just corrected back to "normal" again. In late 2020, 2021 and early 2022 the market was out of control and prices/demand increase to levels that make no logical sense. The market is going through a correction, not a recession. In another 10 years we will see a spike again that will drive up demand and prices, but until then I suspect we will see a pretty level market.

As tu des conseils , sur le budget à prévoir ou des adresses sécurisantes?
@@Huangcolin I went there already, at least 15 shops. A lot of cool stuff, I saw the PP calatrava calendar with tiffany dial, and many more cool stuff. You should go there. this is the exact address: SHOP 7 , YAN ON BUILDING , 1 KWONG WA STREET , MONG KOK. It is inside a weird alley, super safe, you´ll have no problem. Opens after 1pm. I had a great time.

Dealers would be disappointed if you didn't try to bargain a bit. The Guild show is mainly for dealers so between them prices are much lower, wholesale as they call it. Keep in mind they render some service and take risk. One dealer rightfully lamented that with the advent of Chrono24 and watches as "investments", clients think they can get "retail" prices too.

The 5 digit references are less volatile then the newer references that are still in production. Or get 6 digit that have been discontinued like the Hulk or the SD4K.

Despite the crumbling Yen, Rolex in Japan is typically still way overpriced. Make a stop in HK...

AP is doing much worst than Patek and Rolex so controlling their AP boutiques doesn’t do anything for them
