It depends on the manufacturer and the volume of the pipette. Each pipette will come with an insert that states the acceptable volume for the pipette at the high end and low end of the pipette. You can then convert that volume to grams based on the density (1.000 g/mL) and temperature of the water you are using.
Never though it was so easy to check calibration from our pipettes using only water and a balance. Thanks for sharing.
