My goodness. With less than one month to go before BT17, it's time to review over these cards and prepare you for the different archetypes you'll be experiencing. My methodology this time is breaking down the set by movies, so if you have a particularly favorite movie, don't worry it's on its way!
Next up! It's all the Digimon Tamers support cards! Featured films for this series were Battle of Adventurers and of course Runaway Locomon. Because the Digimon are kind of all mixed together, I just went ahead and covered the megas too and predominantly use the films as the villain point.

Crimson Mode's special evo condition also includes ChaosGallantmon [As Gallantmon is in the name]; which in turn includes many of the Megidramon cards.
Also; I used the Renamon in my Goddramon OTK builds; as she can search out Trial of the 4GD, as well as various searcher options like Training. I even use viximon eggs because of the draw power because it's a combo otk deck I need to find my peices and set everything up.
Nice techs and yes! I completely omitted this mentioned of Chaosgallantmon with Megidramon. My apologies.
@@DIGI-PANDA The 3GD engine has space for lv3's and Renamon not only helps find your options but applies sec-1 to stall for time as an inherit while you set up. There's no room for the other cards, but Renamon is a pretty good lv3 in any yellow deck which wants to find option cards to be honest. [And yellow I find is one of the more option-reliant decks]. You could even justify it in Magnamon because it can find Awakening.
The downside being when you *place* the Trial via an effect you're not *playing* it so *placeing* doesn't trigger Vixi/Rena.

I think Takato will be far better than it seems. It is such a cheeky play to have EX02 Takato and EX04 Guilmon to just win you a game out of nowhere.
That's true. I do also feel like EX2 is the mandatory one over all the tamers simply because it gifts blitz.
@@DIGI-PANDA One day we'll get a Gallantmon line that doesn't require EX2 Takato specifically
I think an interesting note with Gallantmon is you potentially have two opportunities to activate his effect, but man the gymnastics you have to do to get the most optimal results.

For the parasitemon, played an interesting build with examon and imperial engine.
that'd be interesting as well! I think for me, the Locomon engine for use with Parasitemon was interesting as an idea to incoporate with Machinedramon.

Yeah, Mephisto and Gulfmon missed the landing with Apocalymon’s limiting. Shame that they didn’t get the human disguise as a tamer. Could see some use if we ever get a new Apocalymon.
The Labramon line and tamer, whilst not much, is pretty great as its own standalone deck. The egg, Xiaomon, is also fantastic for Aqua decks.
The Rika stuff is nice. Better late than never, I guess… definitely a fun deck.
The locomon stuff has the makings of a fun, cheap deck. Seriously, people love the pain train.
The Gallantmon stuff is very good. Shame we’ll have to wait for December regarding Megidramon ace.
Next video is going to be much shorter but it includes a line that I really want to see worked and developed on… but it is very unlikely to happen.
I can still see gulfmon and mephistomon being useful in dark master decks even with apoclymon being limited to 1
@@michaelliggett1622 True. Problem is the deck is Ace central at the moment. Especially with Paladin mode Ace being viable. So space is really tight.

People can be creative
Much of this video falls into the "Fun" category for me. Mainly because I don't see a lot of the tamers decks being hardcore competitive. Overall, the way Bandai designs sets is either something of old is still doing a lot of damage to the community or something else gets more power to make it even more obnoxious.

The new Takato is super good with rush Guil and BT13 Gallantmon. Excited to finally build Gallantmon myself.
For sure! I haven't really touched Guilmon/Gallantmon decks in awhile.

They were there.. and then they kind of weren't XD
With bt 17 just feels like it is setting up things at this point.
With both hybrids getting support in bt 18.
And now the tamer trio will have support in bt 19.
At this point I wouldn’t be surprised if bt 20 will be savers focused.

Also ex8 got leaked and it another liberator set in which it spoiled shoto will get medievalgallentmon also this set has barbamon x and is coming out in January of next year
One minor correction, the Xros Wars manga will be BT19, not the actual anime set - we'll see evolutions of Dorulamon, Ballistamon and more! But for BT20, it's definitely a toss up of what we could get. There's been some discussion of Appmon making its way into the game.

I could see Mephistomon being a good addition, but I'm just against Gulfmon. Security tends to give value to your opponent at times, especially if you can't OTK them that turn.

I love a love/hate with Sakuyamon Deck. I buy for a friend since it's her Favorite Digimon. But Bandai really tries the hardest to not make this Deck meta. Which is ironic because a good Sakuyamon Deck would literally print Money.
Released in BT11 or BT13, I think it would've been an amazing time to play the deck. Now? I'm not so sure.
@@DIGI-PANDA Well it'snt likely that BT19 and EX8 Will have Sakuyamon Support (2 Level 3, 1 Level 4, 1 Level 5 and upto 3 Level 6, 1 Tamer and likely 1 or 2 option cards.) It could be enough to takes to make the deck good. The question is could Sakuyamon X Antibody be SEC of set due her being almost naked and The perfect Waifu bait?

I feel like Gallantmon is ALMOST good! I know it did pretty well in JP but man the Gallant getting protection in one specific instance is so unfortunate in comparison to everything else 😂
Digimon has never been about equal value when it comes to being a Digimon.
The first and second adventures ova are very special and unique, so different from the anime that the way they write the story is fascinating.
the villain of these two ova, the question is why are they so animalistic? because the author prefers the idea of natural evil

@@DIGI-PANDA also, marcus perfectly understand the soul, but the guilmon is the definition of the beast to the dragon. when takato got gallantmon, he beat the soul beast the moment he became a knight

@@DIGI-PANDA plus side your opponent has to divert resources to removing it. Sadly for some decks it’s as easy as breathing.

I’m surprised they didn’t make a Sakuyamon advance starter deck I feel like that would make sense since Beelzemon got one then MegeGargomon so pick the next Digimon in tamers Sakuyamon, and then make Renamon and Sakuyamon X cards idk just a random idea
You'd think right? But nope. Out of all the Tamers characters, Rika and Ryo drew the short end of the straw.

I do kinda hate how gallantmon blocker since it's not useful if you don't unsuspend or crimson ace to delete the attacking thing before you have the chance to block. Really annoying mismatch of abilities.
It's one of those, you have to think carefully and sequence your effects in a way that you maximize the benefit. I just like doing more than thinking though at times when playing this game.
I HATE that Takato’s tamer is just better than Rika’s and Henry’s new cards because he’s the main protagonist. 😒
You're not entirely wrong. This is Takatos third tamer, while Rika's just getting her second.
Some nice Gallantmon support. Mephistomon got nerfed hard.
Shame ha ha. Apocalymon can't ever be unlimited though.. unless it got a choice restriction.
