Binged through all your Z videos, really nice production style with lots of good info. Im just north of Seattle, having a tough time finding a decent Z to start with, I missed a few good ones but hopefully the right one comes along soon enough. Take it easy, looking forward to any new vids.
our old fuel rail looks just like that, from the factory it doesn't have the breaks in it, so obviously they break over time somehow, a quick fix is to instal rubber hoses clamped over them I'm assuming. I found an old fuel rail that looks in 1 piece, but do you know anyone who sells these new? thanks
That is a time consuming process with the factory fuel rail. Send me a message if you have any hesitation under load. (vacuum leak) I would usually install the injector holders differently than what you did there in the video.
The holders that bolt on at the base of each injector are two-piece. I put one down to receive the injector, then flip the upper part over (from the way you have it) and it cups the larger o-ring. This way the two small bolts literally bolt down the injectors onto the intake manifold. I think that is how my 280ZX L28 was set up back in the 90's (I assume that is factory) so I did all my other Z's that way since then.
i did some research and it does appear that there should be an additional plate that would hold the injector onto mounting block. thanks for bringing it to my attention
@@bleachgarage Exactly that's the way you do it, need to place the metal holder retainer that goes before you place the big o ring on to the injector .This clamps the main o ring between the injector and the rail. He just pushed them in. Lucky he has no leak..
thanks for making the vid, we have to do this soon, runs nice! gr8 job so far

finding a decent Z is not easy. good luck with the search. maybe we'll run into each other one day!
Thanks for posting about to do mine soon not so scary now! and the music was nice and relaxing too cheers!
Hey what kind of lubricant did you put on the rail before you attached new injector hose? I'm getting ready to do this!
BrianFarmerMusician you can use soapy water or wd40. anything like will help get the injectors on easier
Thanks a lot!

BleachGarage I'm not having any problems with drivabilty but can you explain how you would have installed it?

I went to look for some pictures. Maybe you're just missing a top metal bracket as opposed to the injector holder itself being installed differently.

Hey was just wondering what all has been done to the car engine wise
Where do you find these part for your z?
Sweet video man! keep'em coming!
Hey man the fuel line coming out of the fuel filter specifically says it's not for fuel.
What brand of fuel injectors did you install. I
need to replace the injectors of my 1983 280ZX pretty soon.
Jose Torres I got them from the zstore.com
