I'm quite happy with how things are coming along and wanted to share it with anyone who thought it was interesting as well as save it for the future.

I've been trying recreate this on a waracons spm (I have credited you and your channel) I recreated most of it because this is such a good palette, everyone wants me to build an base for them now. Just recently It got greifed by some rando and It actually looked so good in game that I quit for like 2 day I love your base and can't wait to see more!

Thanks! It's a slow process but the base is taking shape in a great way.
Edit: I've come up with a design for a nether hub and tunnel that I'm extremely happy with, so anyone who's interested can look forward to that. Need to put together a few farms first to get all the materials.
@@Retroactive_R How long did it take like from gathering materials to the finishing of the build
3-4 weeks would be my guess, it’s been a while so I can’t remember that well. The wood was the major resource but digging out all the space took by far the most time, especially since I didn’t have a beacon at the time of this video.
Although a good chunk of that time could be attributed to just trying to plan everything out.

Awesome base!! I checked out Spudetti's design hoping she would teach how to make the villager trading hall and semi-auto breeder as those were the best part, but that didn't come from her. Did you think of it yourself?? Looks really neat!! Keep rocking!

How do you mute the minecarts? My minecart collection systems are extremely noisy!
My minecarts aren’t muted, though once in a while they do stop making noise altogether for some reason.
I believe one of the audio settings should control minecart audio though, it might be the blocks setting but I can’t say for sure.

Revisiting this: is the redstone setup for the pumpkin farm complicated? converting the excess into bonemeal is pretty smart, but stopping the pistons, i have no idea how to accomplish
It’s not too complicated, I even went over most of it in my behind the scenes redstone video but I can try to explain it here if you’d prefer.
@@Retroactive_R Sure. My goal is to be able to come up with designs myself, I'm not a horrible 'electrical engineer', i just don't have a lot of time for MC after work. Maybe there's a reference for redstone I missed. Did you teach yourself?
No worries. In hindsight I think I neglected that detail of the farm in my video, sorry about that.
To shut off the farm you just need a redstone signal running overtop the pistons that break the melon/pumpkin. From bottom to top: the first layer is the pistons and observers, the second layer are the noteblocks over the pistons and solid blocks over the observers. There is a third layer of solid blocks I have over that but this is optional just to prevent the noteblocks from making noise every time the observer sends a signal.
On top of the second or third layer you have a web of redstone dust, the signal for which comes from a comparator I have reading from a hopper that fills the storage for the farm. You could have the comparator read from the chests directly but then you would need to account for signal strength with either a redstone block or lectern with a book.
Either way, you want the signal strength to reach all of the pistons in the farm so having a repeater before the web is a good measure.

@@Retroactive_R Thanks for the detailled explanation! I'm trying to figure some things out myself here, like the overflow bit. I remember watching an item sorter video a while ago and i believe to have heard hoppers set up in a pipeline with hoppers below will prefer the below hopper and the items get sucked down until the hopper below is full. Is that the gist of how you turn the excess into bonemeal, or are you using a different method? perhaps a comparator?
Yes, hoppers will prioritize the inventory below them (usually another hopper) before trying to fill any inventory they are pointed into.
My hoppers are in a horizontal line with the first hopper below leading into the first set of chests. When those chests fill up and the hoppers backlog, items will continue down the horizontal line, last being aimed into the top of a composter. Another hopper under the composter will take the bonemeal it produces and fill the second set of chests.
I actually took out the composters recently because my moss farm has been more than sufficient.

Haha, I think by the time of this video it had been about a month since I started working on the base itself. I started the world shortly after 1.18 was released and was living out of a nearby village for a couple weeks.
Edit: might have been 2 months actually.

Quick tip, your voice is too quiet for your game sounds. Had to turn down the volume for the mob sounds to be reasonable but then couldn’t hear you.
I am aware, my more recent videos have this mostly resolved. I’d go back in time and fix these if I could haha.

In the trading hall? No, I have 5 layers of carpet at their feet to disable their path finding AI. Reduces lag since I have so many.
@@Retroactive_R are beds not needed for anything in particular? i know it's needed for breeding, but that's it?
Yes, they’re only needed for breeding. Villagers that trade only need access to their workstation.
@@Retroactive_R I'm guessing golems will still spawn.. did you have to spawnproof your entire base?
No, quite the opposite. Golems only spawn if villagers have used a bed within a full day night cycle and are threatened by a zombie or other mob.
Trading with villagers only requires them to have access to their workstation, you don’t need to worry about any other limitations.

My favorite details are the basalt on the walls and the bamboo, I was quite happy with how it turned out. Most everything else was designed by Spudetti though, so go show her some love as well. 🤗

Which lanterns? I can’t replace any of the hanging ones surely lol.
I think I experimented with candles early on but it didn’t quite work out. Also didn’t have a bee farm at the time of this video.

My most recent video shows some of the redstone as well as a link to the farm in the description. It’s an ilmango design.
Highly recommend you fix your audio; your mic gets obfuscated by ambient sounds and we literally cant hear you talk. If youre not familiar with the process, its called audio ducking.
