I love mumbo’s base because not only does it look cool, it has the most important thing that a lot of other builds don’t have: a story. That just elevates the concept so much imo.

mumbos base looks the best, i know mumbo took inspiration from vesko but i love how he made the overgrown style and the idea of feeding the base to keep it alive!
The only and MAJOR bad side is feeding golden apples, which if it dies, it shut down entirely, which make this base almost unliveable, what a good job to make a bad base, unless he remove the dying base thing

The lore given to the base is definitely a really unique one plus it's almost real because of the immersion placed on it lol
3:23 Honestly the resource block cities are the most impressive part to me. It's really really hard to make a good looking build with them, so that fact it looks awesome is quite something

@@sicapanjesis3987 I immediately thought of Cubfan's pyramid with the hall of ancient debris walls, the multiple minigames, the traps and lore and statues, the secret entrances, Xibalba sorting system, amazing bedroom area with floating end crystals.
Cub is extra, and in my humble opinion, very underappreciated. He's a better Minecrafter than video maker, but damn is he good.

I must say that I am usually far more impressed with a really well detailed build than a big one, and that medieval kingdom was incredible
I preferred False's base over Impulses on Hermitcraft, But most of the Hermits can and do build masterpieces. Same can be said for the Empires SMP creators.
I think he just listed all of the finished bases (except for space valkyria I think).

Honestly, the 2 picked from Hermitcraft season 7 weren't really the most impressive. You can argue that those wouldn't have cracked the top 3 (in the insanity scale). Keralis built an entire modern city with a port and fully furnished high rises. BdoubleO100 built a village, terraformed a large area including making a mountain and castle on an epic scale. And Cubfan135 built a massive pyramid (235 blocks for 1 side) where the interior was completed. Tons of mini games, 3 parkour courses, mini-putt, full sorting system, farms, etc... and an obscene amount of Netherite (and Ancient Debris) blocks use for decoration.
Yea mumbo and impulse are closer to the redstone expertise when compared to other hermits. But i would still never be able to get anywhere close to their building skills LOL

I think Loony's hardcore world is an honourable mention. What he's done is crazy! He sadly lost it recently though :(
He made a new one with an entire mountain lol, season one pales in comparison
The Nether Hub, Loonyville, the End Statue, Heart of the Sea(son) - all of them were epic. The #snowcano in Season 2 is unreal but you have to know about it - there were over 7.5 million blocks removed for it and every surface of the thing has been covered in double snow layers for spawn proofing. It has taken 1600 days just to get that far. If you haven't seen is channel in a while, you should definitely check it out!

Impulse's base is not originally with pink highlights. I think it is light blue, it was replace with pink as they swapped bases

Basically every base in hermitcraft season 7 is a work of art, Cub's pyramid, Bdubs's village, Keralis's city, I can't decide witch one is better

My personal favorite is bdubs. I barely watch him as I just don’t really find interest in the way he talks or acts. Maybe a little rude and i tried to put it nicely. Without a doubt the one of best, if not the best builder on hermit craft. It’s between him and scar (and scar thinks bdubs is the best so I’ll say that too). Then I’d say pearl is probably 3rd

Space Valkyria III actually inspired me to build my own end base, I just love the architecture and the fact that JackTherippa is still working on it to this day after five years is so impressive.

These are all the unknown bases that not many people knew about. Philza's hardcore builds are pretty popular already so maybe that's why..? I dunno just speculations XD

The amount of dedication and ingenuity put into these builds is simply insane. I can only dream of building survival bases even close to that level.
Building in 2b2t is just amazing knowing that it will sometime get grieved
Such a shame that some of the most amazing bases in Minecraft are built while knowing that some day they will get destroyed.

This is the risk that every builder on 2b2t accepts. The best you can do is take precautions to reduce the risk of your base being found.
The normal base hiding methods just won't cut it on 2b2t. 2b2t base hunters have hacks that allows them to see when chunks have been previously loaded by a player, see underground tunnels, chests, hoppers, dropped items etc. Coordinates can also be found through pictures if the terrain is still original.
I have a base in progress there and I have taken extensive precautions to throw off base hunters using those hacks. The odds of any individual base hunter finding it is very low but not zero.

Edit : And if you are talking about insane bases, then you should have added Cubfan135's hc7 base to the mix, it's a real life sized pyramid in minecraft and it has entire walls covered in ancient debris and a ton of goodies inside with a logbook of the entire thing and how much it cost him, it's roof is completely made out of lapis and all of it's other sections are awesome as well
Grian's season 7 mansion should have also been here but this is also true to almost every hermits base.

Regarding Krobar, he actually has another insane build called krobar's interdimensional bridge that's also super impressive.
Yeah M.O.A.K will always be super insane, but The Interdimensional Bridge is out of this world.. Krobar is a beast. Imagine what he would do if 2b had access to all the blocks since 1.12...

The heart beat base by mumbo is amazing such a cool idea
In mumbo Jumbo's Hermitcraft 7 base, Goodtimeswithscar helped him connect the modern hooks around the base to the center of the base. The idea was to make it look like a modern civilization was preserving an ancient structure and mumbo did a good job with it!

they are all so good and very impressive, i love them all but if i had to pick which one is the best it’s probably got to be vesko’s 1st futuristic biome island one
I want to build a mega base some day, i just need some time and scheduling to sit down and accomplish it.
If I do however, I want it to look like a city. All the villagers have their own houses for trades and storage, all the farms are built up and hidden like grand halls and expanses.
All these guys give the community so much inspiration can't thank them all enough

Cubfan 135 is such an under recognized minecrafter. His pyramid was epic. Huge, elaborate, redstone and mini game filled. It should have made the list.

Pretty much every noteworthy Hermitcraft base can be here without a contest, it's insane how talented almost all the hermits are and how much they manage to do in survival. Impulse's base out of all the insane creations from Season 7 of Hermitcraft (For example Keralis' and Xisuma's gigantic congruent city, Grian's mansion, Scar's drilling facility, Bdubs' giant temple on a hand-terraformed mountain and a town...) was definitely a very odd inclusion, but a welcome one, and I was really glad you mentioned Mumbo's base, it's not really something that has been much talked about despite how awesome it is. Mumbo really overdelivered with this base, considering he was known for sticking with a very safe formula of base building prior to that, with very clean smooth and modernistic look.

5:54 Impulse didn't actually choose those colours! Stressmonster101 Turned a large part of his base pink as a sort of prank when they did a base swap.
fun fact. Impulse built using blue. But a game on the server had people swap bases for a while. StressMonster got impulses base and changed the blocks to pink
All of those bases are insane, but Mumbo's skill in building (and in redstone) is on a completely different level. Hermitcraft is famous for beautiful bases and season 7 is my favourite of them.
