D.R. Horton must be hiring all of those illegal aliens NoBiden has allowed to invade the country. Skill set!
Food for thought. In any area where D.R. Horton isn't established, there is another mass production, shoddy builder that dominates the region. This is in Everytown, USA. Motto is build fast and cheap and sell high.
When are people going to learn and even realize that the HOA is NEVER about homeowners and D.R. Horton has been facing countless of allegations and accusations across the country for their poorly built homes, not following home specs and quality requirements a more.
Awesome this great news power to the homeowner
Disband all HOAs
Hey, here's an idea. Cancel the HOA and don't pay them anything. HOA is not needed nor wanted by most people. Just think of the freedom you'd have to paint you house the color you want, etc, etc.
there may be infrastructure or amenities deeded to the HOA that would require upkeep.. The story mentioned a drainage retention basin / pond..
I Second the Motion! After a "Town's Meeting" ,with Attorney resent, go over;
I - what remaining issues need to be addressed
2 - the cost to resolved these concerns
3 - how much of the HOA can be re-funded
4 - Vote
Run away from DR Horton. We learned about them when looking for a home. They don't build there home well at all! Also I would never do hoa. Never!
Just buy a lot and NEVER get an HOA.
D.R. HORTON is notorious. No help from Federal Trade Commission nor U.S. Attorney in any U.S. States.
sounds like the residents need to dissolve the hoa . i imagine the cc&rs have conditions for such a thing.. one would hope that at least one of the residents there has consulted an attorney that specializes in real estate..
It’s almost like HOAs aren’t worth it (spoiler, they aren’t).
So glad i cancelled my purchase agreement to buy a under construction DR Horton home in Lafayette Louisiana. Thankfully the house I bought is not in a HOA and really like the area.
What did the realtor do? Nothing. Took the commission.
So…they lucked out and won’t have an HOA!!!
No, they *do* have an HOA that they have no control over.
From my understanding Horton was the HOA which they were going to turn over once the site was done. Now that they are no longer in the subdivision then there’s no HOA because they abandoned the site.
DR Horton is just a clusterfuck of a builder.
Where is this?
or just dont have an HOA. let people live their lives in the homes that they're paying for
