Just an awesome video as always, kinda felt like we were at the camp with you. Better than anything on television in my opinion. This shows what deer season is all about in my opinion. I could not agree more with your message about any deer being a trophy, so sad to see people with a deer and say it's only a doe or spike. (Especially when it's there first) it really bothers me and I am a big advocate that any deer is a great deer. I blame the shows and celebrity hunters. LOL I am guessing that Sr is no longer with you guys. My condolence, hunting season sure makes a memory a bit stronger. All the best and thanks for making a awesome video. Regards Mark
Mark, Thanks had fun putting this one together. Always a good time. We hope to do some work up there to make the habit better for the deer and Turkeys. Plus build a permanent stand for Eric so he doesn't have to use the climber. Yes, Sr is no longer with us. He was the Chairman's Pop. Good friend and hunting buddy for many years. Still have a few weeks of Delaware season left, so we will see what happens. Thanks for watching. Tom
Another great video. Been waiting if you to get this posted. I hope you keep this going for years to come. you guys really have something special going there. That cabin is beautiful too. Our deer camp is all about the kids. The last 4 years adults have shot 3 deer while kids have shot 8. F
Rewatching all your camp vids again for some reason they never get old! Cant wait till deer season 2 months till archery opener here in Ny. Thx for the great videos! And did I say that I've watched this already, like enough times that I cant remember lol.
Thanks for posting your videos. I am enjoying them so far. Just found you. Pa deer hunting was a tradition in my family as far back as the 30's. We lost our land and don't have a cabin to hunt. So public hunting is our gem now :0 You all are lucky to have this. Keep em coming.
+Nymph-O-Maniac Thanks for checking in on the channel. It's really nice to stay at cabin, but we where pretty successful on public land too years ago. Will be heading up this time next week. Good food, some good beer, and most importantly getting together with friends and family. Good luck this year!!
I always look forward to the Deer camp video! You guys sure have a good time, great food and a lot of friendship building! Your season has been a lot like mine so far here in Va., a lot of doe, a spike and a basket 6 point I stirred from his bed while walking out in bow season! HH and thanks for sharing....
That right more great moments, lost track how many times I have watched these great videos. I feel so lucky from September on right through November our families and friends hit the woods and the blurrie deer camp . Lots of fun like you guys ,always something to do ,like this year new wood/atv shed . Best of luck 2017,and God bless us all from Nova Scotia Canada.
Glad they are getting some replay ability, sometimes you go though them again and pick up a few things you didn't see the last time. Good luck and enjoy the season this year up there in BlurrieD deer Camp, Nova Scotia.
Hey guys, love the videos and the camp. We will be building our camp this summer in NH. Looking forward to unplugging and making some camp memories. I agree, trophy is in the eye of the beholder. As a matter of fact, any deer in NH is a trophy. Cheers guys. Keep up the good work!
I have always said, when I shot my first little spike horn buck, or one of my Wall hangers I was just as excited for one as the other. The big boys are just a nice extra!! Give me a half rack 3 point and its going down!! Best of luck!!
You should call it Eat Camp 2015 ! Looks like a lot of fun and camaraderie . You are lucky to have that camp to your disposal . The deer hunting seems to be tough in that part of the country but like you said that is the least important part of it. Great ending !
+Nathan Mullins We do like to enjoy some good eats while we are there. Part hunting trip, part vacation for some of us, so we go overboard on the food. The deer will be there as long as we keep up on improving the habitat.
I just wanted to give you a thumbs up for the video and down to earth feel. I hate "made for tv" video and this is real. Good choice of bourbon (not my first choice but certainly worthy). I would gladly share a bottle of any 10yr bourbon with you. Our cabin is in VA and it reminds me of this video. Friendships, hunts, good food and drinks. Ahhh, the life...
Thanks, really try not to stage anything besides the introductions of the cast of characters. The bourbon was good, but not outstanding. Picked up the Rod and Reel for the name and the fit white the cabin. Sounds like you have a great camp , and share the company of good friends. Thanks for watching...
@whiterook85 can't wait for it.. I have been following you and sintax77 for a couple of years now. I also have a channel with some hunting videos if you ever get a chance to check them out..
I love your deer camp video's! thank you for Sharing. We have a similar camp where we get together with friends we only see a few times a year. My friend and I are "camp cooks" It's a great time spent with friends and family. We too saw more deer this year but no legal buck either.
+Irish Zombie Nation Was really good, holds up with on the rocks (how we like it). The 101 proof wasn't an issue, no burn or tingle. Nice smoky flavor. If there wasn't a law about sending liquor to DE I would be begging you for some samples. Thanks for watching!
Got here from Sintax's channel, SUBBED... loved the video brother. Good to see some solid hunting & father/son/male bonding on youtube. This kind of thing is becoming uncommon, which is sad. The wife & I were just speaking on the fact the main problem in America is that nobody slows down and enjoys the simple life and the outdoors enough. Keep it up Sir. -Nate
+Tea In The Trees Thanks for subbing, great to spend time with Shawn/Sintax77. We have a chance to talk about a lot of things besides hunting on the way up and back. Just another part of the overall enjoyment from the trip.
Nice video again, have watched the previous videos as well and enjoyed them also. Have a camp over in Potter county where we have a group of guys head up for rifle and spring turkey/trout fishing as well. I have also hunted out of a camp in Tioga county a quite a few times in the Leetonia area. Wellsboro is a really cool town as well. Just like you guys we don't always kill something but we sure have a good time and eat well and that's what it is all about. Look forward to future videos, Happy New Year.
+Bjørn Emil Thomassen Hello to you also, you're a long way away, but hopefully I gave you the feeling you were in camp with us. Good bunch of guys, and that buck isn't too far off. Thanks for watching!
Always good to watch these when the season ramps up here in Canada. You guys have a great group, can't wait to hit the road this weekend (in the snow) Good hunting
Couldn't agree more that any deer you get is a trophy. I don't buy into that crap when guys say they pass on a deer unless its so big etc,. Those clowns are not the types of people I want to associate with. I don't live my life around competition. I'd rather hang with a group of guys like you than those others. nice video.
no, I get the point. but what is the point in shooting a little basket racked deer when you can let it get a year older and grow into something worth shooting? might as well shoot a doe and let the little bucks walk
Nice areas all across Northern PA. Spent a week camping at Worlds End this past August. Have vacationed many times in the state parks of: Cook Forest, Clear Creek, Kettle Creek, Ole Bull, Hyner Run and now Worlds End. We live in the suburbs where we have way too many deer. My drive to work at 11pm every night I spot 10-20 deer just on our street.
Great video! I had my first annual deer camp this year. Hope to have many more. Next year I will probably make a video as well. Cheers from north of the border.
+Scotian On The Fly Congratulations on your first deer camp, I'm sure it was fun, and exciting. Enjoy yourself and take in the memories, send me the link to the video next year so I can check it out.
great video! I hunt in Tioga also. out of wellsboro, out 249 past kenneyville in Chatham township. saw a Buck, a Doe with 2 fawns. couldn't shoot. they were one posted ground across the road from where I hunt. saw them yesterday. you guys sure know how to eat good up there. I go out to Donna's corner at the intersection of 287 and 249 and get a cheese steak. I leave earlier Saturday mornings, hunt all day and head back home Saturday night. I used to stay at a camp in Morris but they are my ex-wifes family. I would love to stay with a group of guys like you have. lots of fun. Good luck in Delaware.
Nice area up there, think the small town feel of Wellsboro just made it even better. How's the deer population in the area the you hunted? Seems like it's getting better even though we did see any bucks.
Not that great. I've hunted there since '99. I used to get a deer every year. No problem. But not since 2010. That was the last year I got a deer. Now, I do only go hunting both Saturdays and that's it. I would love to hunt more but the wife I have now doesn't like hunting and don't really like me doing it. But I love to hunt. So I go anyway. I live in New Holland PA. So its a little less then a 4 hour drive and she just dont understand why I have to go so far to hunt. Haha. She just don't understand no matter how much I try to explain it. Yeah I love it up there. When I was going to my exinlaws cabin, heck we were up there all the time. Had so many great memories up there. I saw, in the video, you guys in Wellsboro diner. I noticed where you guys were sitting and thought to myself, I've sat at that table. Haha. You are so lucky to have that nice camp and great guys to be around.
Great trip as always! May I suggest a Streamlight Siege 3 D cell lantern for the cabin? If you take the globe off and hang it upside down from the built in carabiner, it will give you more even light in the morning. Plenty of reviews here on youtube!
Thanks for the suggestion, we where talking about getting something else. Would make seeing better in the mornings and the videos would turn out better. Thanks again.
Great video man I have a camp up in marienville I was lucky enough to shoot a monster 9 the deer are starting to come back around up there ur videos are what deer camps r suppose to be like 👍🏼
I love watching your deer camp videos. I've seen all of them several times. one question though. I think in one of the videos you showed that there's 4 "cubicles" to sleep in. When you have a fifth guy, where does he sleep?
+Neal Leavitt Thanks for watching, right now one a cot next to the table. Not the best arrangement, but the best we can do. I think I should start a "go fund me" for a cabin expansion. Stay tuned for this year's video. Kicking it up in the video and cooking section, who know we may get lucky with a buck too! Thanks again.
Great to see you back at its go time camp. I always enjoy your videos along with sintax77. Have you guys considered a small Solar Light system for the cabin? They make them for tents, rvs, sheds ect. Good Luck
+kishdogg05 We have thought about it, but since it's really the Chairman's camp he gets the finial word on any improvements. Would be nice to come in and just hit a switch to light it up.
+kishdogg05 Yep, he owns the cabin and the land. That's how he got the Chairman nickname. It's about 38 acres, but plays bigger because all of the surrounding woods and game lands. There was an add in the paper for the lots and Sr. took a ride up and bought them a long time ago.
Awesome video! I saw several deer this year, but they were nothing i wanted to shoot just yet. they were all yearlings and i would rather let them grow just a bit more than they were already. they were about the size of a larger dog. i only had one deer i would've loved to shoot but it was just too dark. oh well.
Was a couple reasons, when we went in years past doe season wasn't open. We also were hoping to increase the population a bit. This year 3 of the guys have their licenses. Shawn and I can get 4 in Delaware, so we don't need one.
Great video. Nice to see guys doing guy things. I am fortunate to have a similar situation but without the videos. Riekers butcher shop is a mile from where I live. They are also on Andrew Zimmern' s (travel channel / Bizarre Foods) top 10 list. Are any of you guys from the Northeast Philadelphia area? Anyway keep the videos coming. Very enjoyable. Thanks
Louie, thanks for checking out the videos. We are kind of spread out as far as where we all live. Shawn and I are in Delaware, Steve is in Philly, not sure how close to Riekers. Mike is in Bucks county, and Eric is out near Reading. Thanks again!
We each have a hook to hang our hunting coats, etc. Eric wasn't using his so I was trying to commandeer his also. Was trying to convince him he didn't need it. Just good camp fun.
Is PA a state where a suppressor is legal for hunting? Have you tried a subsonic loading like a .300 Whisper or .300 Blackout for an even quieter hunting load. Seems like .338 Lapua is a bit much for the woods and monster to suppress.
Suppressor is a gray area, it doesn't specifically say you can't use one, but doesn't say you can either. As long as you have the correct paper work(tax stamp) you're ok. The .338 was only for show, he used the Remington 30.06 for the hunt. Still loud, but not bad for the 06...
+Nathan Smith Thanks, enjoyed the time spent there. CampCook and I put a lot of time into what we're going to have for the meals. It's all a treat for us.
Do you guys only hunt there a few days a year? how much acreage goes with the cabin? have either of yall killed a buck there in the past few years? yall eat much better than i do when i hunt....its beenie weenies and Armour sausages for me...haha
+B Shaker We only hunt the first two days of PA now. I finished up 6 days of Delaware the week before so it's ok with me. I still have about 3 weeks of Delaware left (you get 6 tags). The other guys have work obligations. Have 38 acres, but its really bigger than that, there is a lot of land that people own, but don't do anything with.
11:31, 16:03 Outdoors gourmet food , strong booze to help you relax you guy's are spoiled but in a good way. 23:04 LOL , always something to smile or laugh about when you guy's get together. 42:55 The sad part can't wait till next year.
+1digitalwatcher As Sr. use to say, "it'll be here before you know it". Plus our spring trip is only 5 months out. Last year I went up with Sintax in early May for some fun and turkey hunting, then later in May with the Chairman, CampCook, and Medical Man for some more fun and golf.
Ash splits the easiest. Cottonwood is hard to split unless it’s about 40 below zero. Elm is really hard to split. Wish I could have had a hydraulic splitter as a boy on the farm.
Great video! Most anti hunters don't get that it's not about the kill but the time spent with family and friends in the outdoors.I can't believe you guys don't all weigh 500 lbs lol
+Nugebow Mofo Family, and friends, you are right out that. I know we would have loved to bag a deer, and it will happen, but we also enjoy the time spent. Have to hit the gym after all that good food and beer. luckily walking up the mountain burns some of those extra calories off.
At 21:00 does anyone else hear cows? Also I'm have not hunted since I was a kid, but don't you think it is a bad practice to sight in your firearm in the area you are hunting? I mean how much can your zero possibly change from sighting at your home range till you get to the hunting grounds. Are you not just alerting the deer to hunker down and seek shelter? Is not the presence of people in the camp enough to alert the deer that the hunt is on?
The cows are on the next mountain a few miles away, but they were going crazy for a few days. We thought they may have separated the calves. There's a lot of shooting that weekend, we shot Saturday, to let it cool down for a day, but the camp up the road was blasting away on Sunday, hopefully pushing them down to us.
Hey any legal deer is a good deer. With the money you spend on tags, ammo and other equipment. Why not take the first legal deer you see. I' am all about the meat!
Well, it's the camp experience. With our camp and the PA Game Commission killing 500k does a year we don't see many deer a season. It's a lot of cooking instead of harvesting.
whiterook85 I'm being a smart-ass I miss the good old days. My first years of hunting,my dad has four brothers that would hunt back in the seventies. They would all go bar hopping at night and we would have to steal the truck in the morning and drive 10 miles to the 90 acres. the second year my cousin actually shot one and we had some explaining to do.lol..
Elon, not a problem at all, with our lack of success sometimes I do feel like it's a cooking show. A darn good one too. I remember those days myself, a lot more deer around back then. Good story, did a bit of the same too.
Now that you're up there...where do you shit and pee?...And then what do you do with it all? And if you drop the toilet paper, you're really in deep shit!...That's why most tree stands are only used once....and then never again!
When as a real man ever worried about either, and if you must know check this out, it should answer your questions. th-cam.com/video/K6uxDfZUetA/w-d-xo.html
I have enjoyed watching these the past few years. The camaraderie is what it is all about.
+J DE Thanks for watching, and I agree completely with you.
These deer camp vids are Some of my favorite videos on TH-cam.
This is actually a tutorial to show guys how to be men. Nicely done fellas.
LOL
I am guessing that Sr is no longer with you guys. My condolence, hunting season sure makes a memory a bit stronger.
All the best and thanks for making a awesome video.
Regards
Mark
Mark, Thanks had fun putting this one together. Always a good time. We hope to do some work up there to make the habit better for the deer and Turkeys. Plus build a permanent stand for Eric so he doesn't have to use the climber.
Yes, Sr is no longer with us. He was the Chairman's Pop. Good friend and hunting buddy for many years.
Still have a few weeks of Delaware season left, so we will see what happens.
Thanks for watching. Tom
backcountrypipe we call those tv shows “horn porn”. All ethically taken game is a great trophy.
Another great video. Been waiting if you to get this posted. I hope you keep this going for years to come. you guys really have something special going there. That cabin is beautiful too.
Our deer camp is all about the kids. The last 4 years adults have shot 3 deer while kids have shot 8. F

Thank you, try to make them as fun as I can. As Sr. use to say, "Will be here before you know it!"
Stumbled on this randomly. Really well done, seems like a good crew and a very nice camp. Good luck this fall!
Glad you stumbled our way, thanks for watching, and good luck to you also.
Thanks for posting your videos. I am enjoying them so far. Just found you. Pa deer hunting was a tradition in my family as far back as the 30's. We lost our land and don't have a cabin to hunt. So public hunting is our gem now :0 You all are lucky to have this. Keep em coming.

+Bowman Thanks, there now, just unpacked and getting settled in. Good luck to you also.
You Guys certainly eat well! Great video
Thank you 😋
Awesome video...
I like to go back and watch your old deer camp videos..
Glad you like them! 2023 coming up in a bit.
@whiterook85 can't wait for it..
I have been following you and sintax77 for a couple of years now. I also have a channel with some hunting videos if you ever get a chance to check them out..
Will check them out.
Thanks for sharing. Wish I had a group like you guys.
Same here! This would be a great tradition!
I love your deer camp video's! thank you for Sharing. We have a similar camp where we get together with friends we only see a few times a year. My friend and I are "camp cooks" It's a great time spent with friends and family. We too saw more deer this year but no legal buck either.
Hey guys, I'm actually the distributor of Old Bardstown Bourbon in the states of Missouri. Happy to see you enjoying it.
+Irish Zombie Nation Was really good, holds up with on the rocks (how we like it). The 101 proof wasn't an issue, no burn or tingle. Nice smoky flavor. If there wasn't a law about sending liquor to DE I would be begging you for some samples. Thanks for watching!

Greetings from Norway
+Bjørn Emil Thomassen Hello to you also, you're a long way away, but hopefully I gave you the feeling you were in camp with us. Good bunch of guys, and that buck isn't too far off. Thanks for watching!
Great video, nice to see the goings-on in PA. Great group of friends ...
Always good to watch these when the season ramps up here in Canada. You guys have a great group, can't wait to hit the road this weekend (in the snow)
Good hunting
Good Luck this year! Will be there in about a month, video to follow of course.
classic, you pulled out an office space thing that had my dying with laughter and so appropriate...

Appreciate it!!
Well done boys !
One these trips, PA will have a buck ready for you !
"Looks and brains Thomas...dangerous combination" love The Chairman's humor.
+Neal Leavitt He definitely has it down.
waited for this video. thanks guys, such s tradition.
so awesome the reference to office space. we joke about that lady all the time, love it !
A lot of good, and relatable parts in that movie for those of us that worked the cubical life. "You're Welcome!"
Awesome. Chairman reminds me of Kenny Powers from east bound and down lol.
+Posted Boyz More than you know!
oops...thought I was clicking on the 2017 video. :-) Nice video though!

+kishdogg05 We have thought about it, but since it's really the Chairman's camp he gets the finial word on any improvements. Would be nice to come in and just hit a switch to light it up.
+whiterook85 Does the "chairman" own the land you guys hunt on? If so how many acres? How did his father acquire the land..
I saw several deer this year, but they were nothing i wanted to shoot just yet. they were all yearlings and i would rather let them grow just a bit more than they were already. they were about the size of a larger dog. i only had one deer i would've loved to shoot but it was just too dark. oh well.
Watching all camp hunting videos over again, wondering do you guys not get doe tags ? Any reason why ?
Was a couple reasons, when we went in years past doe season wasn't open. We also were hoping to increase the population a bit. This year 3 of the guys have their licenses. Shawn and I can get 4 in Delaware, so we don't need one.
whiterook85 gotcha! Can’t wait for more videos
Congrats on the 6 point
By the way what was the "hook" incident?
We each have a hook to hang our hunting coats, etc. Eric wasn't using his so I was trying to commandeer his also. Was trying to convince him he didn't need it. Just good camp fun.
love your cabin, i'm in state college and I know where your at
I just subbed to your channel I've been following your son for a long time our muzzle loading season open today 12/19/15
+bobinmissouri Bob, thanks for subbing, good luck in muzzle loading season. Weather turned colder here today, may help get them moving around again.
whiterook85 isnt your son leatherwood outdoors? i thought for some reason one of your videos or his you or him mentioned something about eachother?
One reason I hate driving back east is all the toll roads. What a pain.
I subscribed to your channel, already subscribe to your sons.....Great video, and man, love the food!!!!
+bob winstead Bob, glad to have you on board. I spend a lot of time thinking up what to have for dinner. That's all part of a great time.
I always kind of down in Armstrong County definitely miss it
Hiya, you need bigger spoons ,and plates.Smaller food just will not cut it.Happy July 1st and July 4th you all,and God bless.
Thanks!
Rieker's meat is the best! Great video as always
+Nathan Smith Thanks, enjoyed the time spent there. CampCook and I put a lot of time into what we're going to have for the meals. It's all a treat for us.
I love that area!
Used to live in Pennsylvania I miss it love the deer hunts I did it all what county you guys in just out of curiosity
We are in Tioga County. Up near Ansonia PA.
I dont see any beds. Are those folding chairs also cots? Love the videos.
There's twin beds in our bunk area for each guy. And yes just the folding chairs , I do miss my recliner when I'm there.
@@whiterook85 Cool. I envy yall hunting in those mountains. Hunting here in the flatlands of Texas sucks.
When you get a tad older, you wont mind the flat lands, but I understand wanting a change of scenery. Good luck this year!
@@whiterook85 Haha,I understand. Good luck to you all as well.

This year could be king as far as food goes. At least Saturday and Sunday anyway. A new cooking tool addition will be on display.
Ash splits the easiest. Cottonwood is hard to split unless it’s about 40 below zero. Elm is really hard to split. Wish I could have had a hydraulic splitter as a boy on the farm.
Those splitters sure are nice. They do a better job than cook could ever do.
I've watched this 50 times and I'm still trying to figure out what a "monster five hole.......buck" is. lol
If it was the Chairman that said it, well no one knows!
Whiterook85 I love your videos so please go buy a safety harness
For your wood splitting look for an old car tire. Saves having to chase split pieces.
Thanks for the tip, with 5 us these it's not too bad.
Want some bourbon with that ice? LOL, Just kidding
+Greg Eliason "Draw him into the shallows. Draw him into the shallow water, we're gonna draw him in and drown him!"
how much land is the cabin on?
+Mcgee Laymon 38 acres, a lot more around it also.
that's awesome
I live in pa also for me it was an advantage and the rut was still in so we shot bucks chasing does
+ThePaHunt andFish Congratulations!!! We had plenty of does, but no bucks chasing. Glad to here you had a successful season.
I’ve never measured any of my game except my antelope.
I have never felt safe in a tree stand. Just me as I have work high jobs all over the world.
The axe needs sharpening before somebody drops.
Yes it does need a sharpening.
Camp Jim Ross ATL 😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮
I hunt right near state college also
I like your comment any deer you get is a trophy
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉❤
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
New video out soon, it's a long one.
@@whiterook85 k
Real men drink it neat boys......you still have some work to do!
>p
+Hamburger Feet That is true, but with ice I can enjoy longer before I pass out!, thanks for checking out the video.
Absolutely! Love you and Syntax's vids! Keep them coming! :)
😊❤
With Medical Man!
Hey any legal deer is a good deer. With the money you spend on tags, ammo and other equipment. Why not take the first legal deer you see. I' am all about the meat!
I thought this was a hunting video not a cooking show
Well, it's the camp experience.
And we had no drivers license...oops!
Elon, not a problem at all, with our lack of success sometimes I do feel like it's a cooking show. A darn good one too. I remember those days myself, a lot more deer around back then. Good story, did a bit of the same too.
Where's Live PD when you need it. Who's car is this, "I don't know", you're driving without a license, "really, I didn't know that either".
😊
Yes and shame on the 31 women who didn’t like it. Embarrassing!
Your welcome lol
Cool video, only shame is a deer camp that revolves around consuming food instead of deer hunting.
i like your vids but i think shooting your guns like that might scare the deer
you guys should sell your guns and buy a bigger tv and more food
+babber OK will do?
