It’s pretty cool that you’re getting shout outs from Greg Hammerton on his channel now. Shows you’re making great content (probably the best paragliding videos being produced right now IMHO) Another epic flight. You came soooooo close, were you gutted?. Blue sky and flat lands, you’re really challenging yourself now!🤣
Haha thanks mate! Really appreciate the kind words! Ah I was little to not complete the task but was still an epic day out, it would’ve just been the icing on the cake 😉
I was really rooting for you in the end. Thanks for capturing the tension. Hyperlapse is so helpful in learning to understand the dynamics of a day and how to pick lines from these videos and it is really great to see it more often. These clouds were mesmerizing.
You're setting the standard for best XC videos on TH-cam mate!! Great flights, great planning, awesome editing, educational commentating, good length, etc. I could go on. For someone who's an "armchair" pilot you really put me in the sky with you. So appreciated. Keep up the amazing work, I hope you can make a full time living doing this mate!
It's so cool to follow your adventures when it's just not so well xc weather on the other half of the globe. That keeps me motivated for the next season
Nice one Ben, I love your videos and living here in the UK with the weather being so pants at the moment your videos are a little reminder of good days ahead. New Zealand is such a beautiful country! Well done mate keep it going...
Thanks Ben, was hanging out for some more content from you. Thought you might have headed up to the camp so expected a 2 or 3 week gap. Good flight, I like this period weather-wise now for the run into autumn.
Awesome stuff. I have been stalking XContest and keenly waiting for this one. Miss that country. That area around Rough Ridge and Poolburn has an eerie loneliness to it.
Thanks mate! Yeah it's more to do with the video making to be honest, I do use the bar a lot, but when I'm trying to talk to the camera I tend not to use it because the wind noise gets really bad.
So close yet still wonderful! Have you considered flying a couple of kilometers to the flats in the morning to make closing the triangle easier in the evening?
What size memory card you using on your 360 camera? Are you recording on it the whole time as well? My Insta360 files are just ridiculously huge… Congrats on the hike n fly comp as well…

Seconded - best paragliding videos on TH-cam right now.
Agreed. Fantastic videos!

Thanks!! Yeah I really love watching the cloud formations in hyperlapse, especially helpful for understanding convergence!
Wow. Felt very Peaceful, Benjamin..
Got to hit the skies back. Thank you so much.. :)
Awesome!! Thanks mate, glad you enjoyed it!

Amazing edits. You are by far my favourite PG xc video dude! :)
Thank you very much!! 🤩

Sam for the other half of the island
thanks mate! Not long now and it'll be good up there!
Great flight! Wonderful panoramas! Great video edit! And most important of all, a great personality! Enjoy flying safely and keep up the good work💪🤙
Cheers mate, appreciate it!

Thanks very much!! I'm looking forward to spring in the UK too!
Another amazing flight. So close on closing. Gotta keep that positive attitude because it looked like a phenomenal day to me!
Thanks! Yeah it was a great day out!
Excellent flight Ben and video too.
🤙 Thanks John!!

Cheers mate! Yeah been busy flying and filling up the hard drives! Got plenty to work on over the next few months so stay tuned! 😎
it's not about the numbers! It was a great flight & you had a blast, and that's what's important :)
🙌 exactly! 😎
Inspiring thanks! I need to book a trip back to NZ!
PS……… ‘never seen it discussed but which pee tube system do you use?!
Awesome stuff. I have been stalking XContest and keenly waiting for this one. Miss that country. That area around Rough Ridge and Poolburn has an eerie loneliness to it.
Haha! Thanks mate! Yeah it feels pretty remote around there! Definitely a bit of walking if you land by the PoolBurn Reservoir!
Great...
Thanks!
Hello! What is the wires that you have attached from lines to your body? Thanks! I love your flights!
Cables for charging the camera 🤓
Incredible flight man well done. What is your side camera setup?
It’s an Insta 360 one R attached to the carabiner with a small rig clamp mount
Really nice flight, but I hardly see you push speedbar or is it just not in the video? Pushing speedbar on a two-liner is giving you the performance.
Thanks mate! Yeah it's more to do with the video making to be honest, I do use the bar a lot, but when I'm trying to talk to the camera I tend not to use it because the wind noise gets really bad.
Amazing bro
Thanks 🔥
So close!!!! What a day!!! Did the hawk manage to close?!
Yeah he beat me to goal by an hour 😂😂
Cool video. Can you also do video on how you set up camera on Carabiner? What tripod do you use to attach camera with clamp?
Hey, I use a "small rig clamp mount" and the insta 360 invisble selfie stick (the smaller one. The camera is the insta 360 one R
So close yet still wonderful! Have you considered flying a couple of kilometers to the flats in the morning to make closing the triangle easier in the evening?
Yeah I think that would be a good Idea, at least a bit closer to the front. If I had flown 200m out in the morning... I would've closed 🤣
Great flight and video Ben. How many inland hours have you racked up?
Not sure to be honest, I'd say 90% of my flying is done in the mountains. I find mountains flying much easier, fly over the pointy stuff!
Keep making me home sick bro ! Enjoying been sick
🤙🙌
What a day! The flying counts. The stats don't.
🙌 so true! Thanks mate!

Congrats on the hike n fly comp as well…
Thanks mate! Its a 512bg sd, yeah I record the whole fight, I actually ran out of space for the last 45 minutes or so! Big files eh!!
