Another Good video. My thoughts on Chroma is that most of his the reason he's so bad is because his kit also isn't cohesive, you can run him as a 2 ability Frame and even his augments are so bad even if you add them into his base hit he wouldn't really be that much better (Apart from the 2 and 3). Passive: Just Add the credit boost ability from his fourth and make it as a part of regular passive and keep the triple jump cause it doesn't hurt. Spectral Scream: Keep the melee only aspect I kinda like it as a melee tank frame but the element effects need to be adjusted and be on theme with his 2 and 3) Fire - Heals Chroma for a %damage dealt - Since the fire focus is health tanking Ice - Enemies hit are stripped of their armor Electric - Stripe enemies of their shield and recharges yours Poison - Increase weapon Damage against enemies. Also Each Effect should last individually and with duration similar to Jades 2. Now he has a more interactive kit where you'll be cycling through his abilities more often to stack effects. 2) Keep as is 3) Keep as is but the heat and poison stuff need to be fixed. 4) Increase the base range for the Cloaks attack AND make it so that it draws enemy aggro with a higher priority similarly to priority similar to Loki's Decoy. Naked Chrome should also have a dodge chance and increase weapon attack speeds
Like your suggestions a lot! for his 4 I would like it it could attack all targets in the radius, and then also maybe an augment giving him overguard for each enemy hit by it? You spectral scream changes sound great aswell, and if you are channeling his one and change the element mid channel it changes while channeling also like jades auras
Chroma´s first should imbue the element selected on the equiped weapons WITHOUT combining, pure element. That would be great. Obviosly with base damage imbue and increased by his dmg boosts.
The funny thing is that as great as that would be, it would still be worse than Lavos‘ new augment. That one combines and has forced procs of the infused element. For instance you can infuse heat into a cold weapon which will therefor proc blast, but it will also proc heat on every hit! And he can even create combined elements.

Hot take, but in my opinion, chroma can be reaally good for a beginner, just because hes simple to understand and the goals to build him up are simple aswell, maybe not as simple as something like inaros or revenant, but he can damn well push you super smoothly into steel path with some investment and 3-4 braincells. Usually in the early game your weaponry isnt usually... perfect... but chroma can DEFINITELY give it a good push it needs to preform well in higher levels, though steel path will probably need a slight bit of investment more than steel path. Tdlr, give the man a form of sustain, strength, and okay effeciency and your basically fine for sp (THOUGH REVENANT IS DEFINITELY 3 MILLION TIMES BETTER FOR THIS LOLOLOLOL)
Yea chroma is great for beginners, since he just gives damage you might be lacking in early levels, just need a bit of tankyness and efficiency as you said xD
You cant compare chroma's first ability to the furis, almost nothing stands to that dps its not fair 😂 i've done more damage with 1 heat proc than i've done with chroma's "damage" abilities collectively
I replaced his 1 with Ophaium Eyes, and I absolutely love it, along with Arcane Battery so no need for flow, more than enough energy to recast his 2 & 3 along with Ophaium Eyes, I now use him for everything
U can boost toxin aura with green shards btw, together with contagious bond, mecha en sickening pulse it works quite well, only sucks that it doesnt scale with range
Replacing Grace with Arcane Battery is an option with the amount of armor you can put on chroma...Im testing dropping flow completely and replacing with augur secrets. Also, and I know this doesnt matter, but Auto-melee works during spectral scream.
The last augment is great use quickthinking and arcane battery. You will get 1.8k energy pool which is worth over 5k health and armor applies to energy lethal damage. Then go combat discipline and the augment with hunters adrenaline then equip tennet glaxion with energy augment and xoris and youre all set.
@@morning8590 mmm yes but it's a game and I plan to have fun, most of the games playtime is in the mid game, also for throwing glaives the game actually double dips in his buff so you can use the xoris with the new elemental mod, and if you get the relic buff you can get even more insane when you keep it up. The glaxion slow applies on the thrax very well. He's a very calm frame to just farm Lua for relics steel essence and Lua thrax plasm at the same time. I use a foot pedal to do heavy charge throw and detonate and the middle pedal for casting 3
chroma is my go-to for archon hunts fr. i run 270~% strength with wrathful advance.. i remember one time i had done most dmg to the archon with a rank 0 furax XD 1000% bonus damage and guaranteed red crits goes a long way with just a small amount of modding lol
I wouldn’t mind them replacing his first ability with a moddable exalted weapon. His seconds should be a timed duration instead of channeled and the augmented to make it follow Chroma.
i think a cool idea for his 4 would be an exalted flame thrower similar to the ignis, in the form of dragon breath. overall i think his kit could get a total rework
I myself enjoy Chroma nowadays quite a bunch - even though he is a kinda Niche pick. For the most part i ran him you showed him here. But couple days ago discovered the Interaction of: Arcane Battery + Avenger + Quick Thinking. And i freaking love the concept of just not dying cause my Energy pool is Huge - ill sustain Health -> Which turns into Energy -> Cycle continues. Its basicly what Chroma does - Be Tanky - Crap out Tons of Dmg Buff's - and just.. exist xD. keep it up =) !
I really love the idea of Elemental Ward and Vexing Retaliation; but its all just so bad. I would honestly prefer it if they removed the elemental and turret and focused on the aura and dragon instead! Maybe a roar with knockdown and debuffs would work for a 4.

I kinda wish his 4 made him like aatrox from league, some minor flight abilities. Maybe an exalted, just make one of his abilities make him feel like a true dragon. Kinda wish his 1 was a channeled ability, and you'd spew breath constantly while doing other actions. Give it a tiny drain so it could actually be used for awhile. Anyone else have ideas for a rework?
I get it, but Chroma is insane. Just have to figure him out. DPS AND KPS are through the roof. Movement is great, and his passive enhances parkour. You can max out the buffs from his 2 & 3 almost instantly. No augment needed. Helminth his 4 or 1 with an ability that works and run every mission.
I just thought of a possible rework on his 4/1 to make him feel more dragon-y: instead of shedding your dragon skin, turn INTO the dragon and essentially act like a non-shrunk titania, using the trigger button to breath elemental fire and alt-firing to cast the stun scream. Not sure what to replace 1 with though. This a good fix?
IIRC the damage buff is still multiplicative with either thrown meele or thrown meele explosion so that is probably the way I'd play him. All in all I rate Chroma as more fun to play than Revenant (think of that what you will).
When you say Vex armor isn't multiplicative anymore do you mean fury no longer gives a multiplicative damage bonus to glaives and (apparently, haven't tested) weapons with multiplicative CO? If that's true it's a huge nerf and isn't on the wiki patch note history.

Yea thats okay for steel path, but chromas gets outclassed by to many warframes, so still quite mid overall

Elemental Ward on Cold Affinity can pop mulli bubbles.
I go Ice Dragon. Empower or Nourish on his 4th with Precision Intensify. I plan on trying Ophidian Eyes on his 4th too.

I don't think his damage buff is multiplicative with thrown melees anymore, I am pretty sure they fixed that with his update sadly
