Man - I don't know how you're the only person who is reasonable and serious without blasting music while doing this. But thank you. Can't wait to get my 73 charger a bit happier since my stock acc cable was starting to bind up.
THANKS. I'm in the process of doing the exact same thing on a 70 Dart with a Holley Carburetor. I'm doing both cables. That Lokar setup is nice and clean.
About to order this exact setup for the project 72.... I was racking my brain trying to figure out how to use the monster ford cable they supplied from the factory with this Holley sniper. This fits the bill! Your video came up #1 when I was searching for lokar cables. Awesome!
Thank you so much for the video! The clip on the throttle cable was a huge time server. The manual doesn't really say or show and I left the seat and pedal in the car so I couldn't really see it so thank you again!
Thanks a bunch appreciate the video just doing a 4 bbl swap myself and picked up lokar throttle bracket throttle cable and kickdown and will be attempting the same op this weekend
Kev4PS3 Yes, that is the kickdown on the bottom, which is it's own kit # KD-2727HT. The cable bracket is actually called the spring return bracket part # SRK-4000 and the throttle cable is just their universal 24" cable that you trim to fit.
Tyler's Neighborhood Garage Tyler thanks for this video! I have a 76 dart that was born a slant six that now has a 318 w a Edelbrock carb on the factory cast 4bbl intake, your setup looks like the one I need. Again thanks for this video!
What does the setup look like at the transmission for the kick down? What if any factory parts do you have to leave in place to use the cable assembly?
Nice job. I’m in the middle of this now. You pulled the cable out all the way till it stopped before you cut it and installed it in the carb assembly part right?
As far as I remember, but you need to leave enough extra cable for any adjustment needed. Don't cut it flush with that plastic ferrule that snaps onto the carb.
Sorry. It's a programming error by my masters. You will be happy to know that currently I function efficiently with little verbal output, like the robot I am.
You just saved me a load of time and effort for my 1987 Ramcharger because I have to do the same thing

You're welcome
Nice video! Very informative. I have a '74 Duster that I'm building. This helps me quite a bit. Good job!!
***** Thank you. I was initially against using these because I'm a purist, but it's a very nice kit. You'll be happy with it.
@@TylersNeighborhoodGarage you have the PNs for the kit you used by chance ?
This really helped. I’ve been trying to find a throttle cable that will work with my 440 duster.
It's a nice kit. The factory rods and cables just don't have enough interchangeability and flexibility.
You wouldn't happen to have any step by steps for the kick down lever would you?
Is that bottom cable the kick down linkage? And can you give me the part number for the throttle cable bracket?
Kev4PS3 Yes, that is the kickdown on the bottom, which is it's own kit # KD-2727HT.

How did you hook the cable to the stock throttle pedal
I don't really remember other than it didn't take any fabrication. What hardware needed was in the kit.
@@TylersNeighborhoodGarage that's a good question did you have to hold your gas pedal to the floor in order to hook everything up?
What does the setup look like at the transmission for the kick down? What if any factory parts do you have to leave in place to use the cable assembly?
There is a bracket which bolts on to the transmission with one or two tailhousing bolts. You leave the transmission levers as-is. Don't remove them.
I did not see you test for WOT.... Did this set up give you Wide Open Throttle??
Did you happen to do a video on the kick down install? I'm doing that right now and can't find a good video for it.
Nice job. I’m in the middle of this now. You pulled the cable out all the way till it stopped before you cut it and installed it in the carb assembly part right?

do you have to change the throttle cable ?
Yes. You buy a throttle cable kit and a kickdown cable kit. They are designed to work together.
what throttle cable kit part#?
PERFECT 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I love that car.
excellent video
Thank you.
its "measure twice cut once"
+MAKAVELLI228 thanks
Tyler's Neighborhood Garage try not to think while measuring though....😉
Wish you would have actually SHOWED the installation instead of just explaining it and capturing it when you already finished.
If you need to see it actually installed, you shouldn't be doing it yourself
Thanks for the video
This has got to be the worst instructional video I've ever seen
man .. you are talking too much and doing nothing

Good 😁
