    We are organising an orientation training on rain water harvesting, particularly on bore well recharge on 16 Dec 2019. See more details at: www.wlfoundation.net/uploads/2/8/3/9/28397975/training_on_aquifer_recharge_by_wlf-_16_dec_2019.pdf

    one doubt bos, if we allow the water to soak into the bore well, will there be any problem to the submersible motor, i mean any chance of getting the motor spoiled ? ....

    Venkatesh, cost depends on if you want to store the rain water as well; filter the rainwater with a filter; what kind of filter you use etc. If you simply divert rain water from roof and feed the bore well, it involves only plumbing work. Make a filter pit around the bore of 4 x 4 x 4 ft and fill it with gravel and sand. This should work nicely. Cost depend on local costs of material and labour. pl check with your plumbers and masons in the area.

      can i redirect rainwater to a unused borewell with out filter?

    • @HailStonE999
      @HailStonE999 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@hypersonicblabla No you cannot since the aquifer is shared with others who might be using their borewell... It will contaminate water for everyone...

      Hi, I want to do this. Can I do it for undried borewell also to recharge ground water? Will it overflow?

    No. It is not legal. Also, the tap water is treated at a high cost and not meant for recharge. If u harvest rain water, you will be using water which otherwise goes into storm water drains and that mitigates flooding elsewhere. More than anything else, my opinion is, it is not moral !

    can i filter the rain water in a separate sintex tank by adding charcoal, mud, and gravel stones and then directly send the filtered rainwater to my a borewell which already has a submersible pump. Please tell me whether it will spoil the motor and the underground water or not..

    • @RamamohanRV

      Rain water is free from most of the dissolved chemicals, but may carry some suspended material from roof. Larger suspended material (leaf litter etc.) may be prevented to enter the bore well by using such simpler gravel, sand... filters. If the roof is free from such material, you may ignore the filter.

      ok sir....after thoroughly filtering the rain water can i just directly fill in the borewell??? so that it doesn't affect my submersible motor know?

    Will the fall of water into the hole on submersible pumps effect the pump??

    • @ashoksaini6934
      @ashoksaini6934 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      pump is submerged in the water all the time so falling water will first hit the water surface (also borewell wall smoothes the speed)

    if we directly connect to bore, is their any problem to borehole like loosing the soil, or closes bore

    • @shankarmcbharat1013
      @shankarmcbharat1013 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, direct connection like these should be avoided. Make a filtration system around the Borewell-Casing-Pipe for better long term results.
