This is my favorite song from her second studio album Whitney (1987) my second favorite next to didn't we almost have it all I'm surprised some people didn't know didn't we almost have it all it is one of her signature hits released as the next single after I wanna dance with somebody (who loves me) and it also hit number one on the billboard hot 100 charts and I have this whole album and I would play love is a contact sport when I'm cleaning up and I believe I introduced you to this song on one of your Livestreams but that was years ago
I forgot to tell you jack like a year after she released her second Whitney (1987) she was booed at the soul train awards for this album in 1988 and was told that her music wasn't black enough which is sad but to me the album was good from start to finish
