TW gross body talk and eye stuff: In regards to the eye depreciation talk, my brother's friend recently went to the optometrist and they told him his retinas were "hanging on by a thread" and they had to do emergency surgery. In the USA dueling stopped after the Civil War since around 4% of the population died in it(mostly young men who would get in duels otherwise). It continued in Europe, slowly petering out until WWI at which point a TON of young men died and everyone decided not to encourage them to kill each other
Actually it was fairly common for German and Austrian military academy students to duel each other and give each other super gnarly face scars, which is where the trope of Nazi officers with gross face scars comes from. The Nazis thought huge borderline disfiguring facial scars were hot, apparently
Tom Mcdonald reminds me of those high school boys who's entire personality is being as edgy as possible and they think everyone loves it but really most people are just laughing because they're uncomfortable.
the kids who get mad when you don't laugh and act like you're offended... like sorry dude I just want to pay attention to class I don't care what you say (which makes them even madder)
The fact that Jarvis nailed that it was gonna be number one but the actual line from Ben was so much cringier than anything Jarvis suggested makes my day
me having adhd is starting this video at 7 am and repeatedly forgetting im watching it, restarting, pausing it, going somewhere and here I am at 7pm with 30 minutes left still.
I think the most ironic part about the song is that in the first verse, Tom says "But you ain't pro-gun, no one to protect it" and then a few lines later he says "we ain't pushing guns" like it's such an obvious contradiction it's insane
i think rap is seen in a similar way to modern art, where the actual artistic ability is overlooked (especially by conservatives), and people go “well, i could do that.” and then they do it and find out it actually takes skill, but are too proud to admit it’s bad. so we end up with things like this.
I’m 100% positive that the line at 48:55 was originally gonna be something like “You’d have to hate yourself as well because we’re both white dudes” to rhyme better with “That can’t be right dude” and then he changed it to “I’m you” but forgot to change the first line
i feel like kitboga, when things kind of get real and the person on the other end opens up to him about their conditions, is actually quite sympathetic. he often tries to give them advice, or words of comfort that things will look up for them, from what i've seen of him. i agree that he's in a very privileged position, and so his advice can only go so far when he isn't experiencing the world in the same way as these scammers, but i do think that he refrains from making fun of them or judging them whenever they get real with him. he usually matches their energy, giving respect and sympathy when respect is given to him. he acknowledges that a lot of scammers aren't exactly working at these centers because they want to - he just wants them to hopefully find work that isn't exploiting a vulnerable demographic of people halfway across the world.
I'm a very new baseball card collector (I've actually been cataloging my collection while listening to the podcast), and the baseball card economy had its boom and bust in value before I was even born. With the way the market is now, you can't just be into it for the money. My collection is worth about as much as the amount of money I've put into it, give or take, and that's completely fine to me. If I was looking for ROI I'd get into the stock market. I got into baseball cards because I love baseball and I enjoy collecting things, and the community both online and in person is very passionate and polite and helpful. People collect things because they like the things, not just because of money. Most of my favorite cards in my collection are worth less than $1, and I'm completely fine with it. I like them for the players, or the pictures on the card, or the stories attached. If you only get into collectables because you want to make money, if/when the collectables lose their value, you're just gonna be stuck with some plastic or cardboard that you don't even care about on its own.
I'm into Bratz dolls and they have been trending recently. One of the most common complaints is scalpers grabbing dolls for cheap and trying to resell them for hundreds. Of course, nobody is buying. There are millions of naked plastic women selling for $10 each, which is how much they sold for brand new 20 years ago.
58:25 About the scamming question "can't they do a better job?" Idk the percentage but I'm sure a fair share of them are just incompetence, but in plenty of scams the shoddy quality can actually be a strategy to weed out the people who are careful not to fall for scams so that the people who buy in are genuinely gullible enough to just keep falling for the scam

My ex liked Tom MacDonald for like 2 songs before she realised he wasn't doing it ironically. Some do know what they’re doing and don’t care, and some are definitely exploited workers working for an evil company. They have different backgrounds. Most of them are not financially well off or in a position to seek a better source of income though, which is why they resort to these scams. The scramming doesn’t pay as well as you might think typically. If they were just terrible individuals wanting to exploit the vulnerable for the sake of it, and they had opportunities for other forms of work, there’s plenty of other fields you can exploit people in while earning more money more consistently.
Exactly. Scammers = bad. Period. No excuses. Sometimes I wish they'd look into some of this stuff before commenting but it's obviously hard because it's just how/where their convos flow.
Well many scammers actually are, a lot of them work in countries that are hounded by neocolonialism and are actively being pushed by western based companies into these positions. The main problem, like always, is capitalism
_of course_ they know what they're doing. these are not contradictory statements. you can do an evil job and/or at an evil company, know that, and still materially have to do that job in order to make ends meet. many of these scam call centers also will threaten those who are working at them, or they will traffic people who then are stuck under the company's thumb. I've seen stories of places that would offer people work from out of the country and then trap them into having to work for them. which renders all criticism of such callers themselves moot.
Shout out to y’all keeping me company every Friday night while I clean and make dinner so I don’t have to do anything on the weekend but play Pikmin and sleep
I think I got this from a hbomb video but scams intentionally don't want to be too convincing to self select for gullibility so as to make their job easier and filter out people who will waste their time
As a kid, I used to get these creature cards from an educational subscription. Weird and Wild Creatures, maybe? Those were cool because I was a nerd. I think those would have more clout than Metazoo.
So interesting to hear about metazoo. I went to the 2023 mothman festival and apparently it was partially funded by meta zoo and there was a meta zoo card competition. I didn't go to it and I didn't hear about it at all throughout the weekend, but on the last day there were people handing out packets of metazoo cards just for free. the worst part of the song for me was him calling himself a "caucasian rapper" like i know everyone means white when they say caucasian but that's one of my biggest icks 😭😭 as an armenian, i just want everyone to look at a map and stop equating people from the caucasus with white people it's so annoying, especially bc if this guy saw an actual caucasian person he would not think they're white lol
it's so real, like I am not Caucasian????
TW gross body talk and eye stuff:
In regards to the eye depreciation talk, my brother's friend recently went to the optometrist and they told him his retinas were "hanging on by a thread" and they had to do emergency surgery. It's called retinal detachment and apparently it was caused by his massive growth spurt he had at the end of high school. Now he's mostly blind in one eye. Crazy
My mum has that (idk if it’s age related for her). In her case they can’t really do anything about it because she’s got multiple other eye issues impairing things. Sorry about your brother’s friend. Hopefully he’s adapting well.
@@genericname8727 yeah I think it's one of those things where there's not much you can do. The body just gets older :/ sorry about your mom. And I think he's doing alright! I appreciate it
Now have your brother convince his friend to do a solid snake fit
Omg that's awful!! My aunt had it happen to her a couple years ago, she had so many things happen to her she was the toughest person I know beating thyroid several skin and breast cancers, my mom said she had to drive to this doctors office and lay face down for hours at a time and eventually she was able to get it to reattach. I had NEVER heard of this before she went through it. I'm so so sorry your brothers friend had to go through that! Bless his heart
Im honestly convinced that both the Ben verses and the Ben appearances in the videos are just AI and Ben himself had no involvement other than approving it and getting a check
jarvis.... i have never anyone acknowledge misophonia by name before and this was very heartening
he has on stream as well, giving misophonia warnings for when he’s gonna eat.
jarvis doesn’t personally affect my misophonia but it’s nice to see a content creator bring it up.
So if I smack my lips real loud y’all will crumble like a Marvel Symbiote?
"Let's just kiss."
"That's the final episode."
* HARD CUT * It's the cut that made me laugh.
What timestamp is that?😂

In the USA dueling stopped after the Civil War since around 4% of the population died in it(mostly young men who would get in duels otherwise). It continued in Europe, slowly petering out until WWI at which point a TON of young men died and everyone decided not to encourage them to kill each other
Also most dueling was non lethal!
Actually it was fairly common for German and Austrian military academy students to duel each other and give each other super gnarly face scars, which is where the trope of Nazi officers with gross face scars comes from. The Nazis thought huge borderline disfiguring facial scars were hot, apparently
@@sideways5153I'm no nazi, but... I'm gonna have to agree that scars are hot. Maybe I just grew up simping for too many hot villains in media, lmao
I'm at the start so idk if they cover this but i think it would be funny to, from now on, refer to Ben as "Conservative Rapper Ben Shapiro"
Stealing this
Tom Mcdonald reminds me of those high school boys who's entire personality is being as edgy as possible and they think everyone loves it but really most people are just laughing because they're uncomfortable.
the kids who get mad when you don't laugh and act like you're offended... like sorry dude I just want to pay attention to class I don't care what you say (which makes them even madder)
The fact that Jarvis nailed that it was gonna be number one but the actual line from Ben was so much cringier than anything Jarvis suggested makes my day
Just noticed this but jordan's gamecube tattoo is sick as hell
Jordan has tattoos? Maybe I should look at the screen more often🤔

I think the most ironic part about the song is that in the first verse, Tom says "But you ain't pro-gun, no one to protect it" and then a few lines later he says "we ain't pushing guns" like it's such an obvious contradiction it's insane
All 2A people are obsessed with guns until minorities get any
i think rap is seen in a similar way to modern art, where the actual artistic ability is overlooked (especially by conservatives), and people go “well, i could do that.”
and then they do it and find out it actually takes skill, but are too proud to admit it’s bad. so we end up with things like this.
I think if you merged your faces you'd get Lionel Richie
I’m 100% positive that the line at 48:55 was originally gonna be something like “You’d have to hate yourself as well because we’re both white dudes” to rhyme better with “That can’t be right dude” and then he changed it to “I’m you” but forgot to change the first line
"i ask myself, what would Ben do?" the tv screens... my hands shot up to cover my mouth in absolute shock. that was VISCERAL.
i feel like kitboga, when things kind of get real and the person on the other end opens up to him about their conditions, is actually quite sympathetic. he often tries to give them advice, or words of comfort that things will look up for them, from what i've seen of him. i agree that he's in a very privileged position, and so his advice can only go so far when he isn't experiencing the world in the same way as these scammers, but i do think that he refrains from making fun of them or judging them whenever they get real with him. he usually matches their energy, giving respect and sympathy when respect is given to him. he acknowledges that a lot of scammers aren't exactly working at these centers because they want to - he just wants them to hopefully find work that isn't exploiting a vulnerable demographic of people halfway across the world.
Jarvis: Let's just kiss
Jordan: That's the final episode?
Hard cut to the next section.
I know it wasn't intentional but still really funny.
I just saw it and was cackling like a witch lmfao that was amazing
Literally the only reason I heard it as Nega-Chin in Fairly Odd Parents was because I was playing Sonic Rush and they had Nega-Eggman in it
dosent ben think rap isnt real music? 😭
My thoughts exactly when I heard abt this
His rap is definitely not real music.
@@foreverNwonderI thought the same thing immediately when I saw this comment. 😂 Like, if this is what he thinks rap is of course he doesn't think it's real music.
@@zenleeparadise he could maybe do a collab with the fresh Prince to create the whitest cringey-est “music” possible??!

1:05:00 on the topic of Joe Biden and gender, when asked how many genders there are his answer was actually pretty based: "I don't know, at least 3"
Then, when asked to name them, said "don't play games with me kid"
@@TheProfessor230 Which is honestly a solid response. Most people who ask that question aren't actually interested in the answer - they just want to pick a fight.
You know , I feel like Tom MacDonald and Ben Shapiro didn’t get bullied enough as a kid
they’d probably be funny if they were
They’re the type to say the world needs more bullies, so I agree.
that's what I always think when I see these types of guys. like damn, you would NOT have done well in public school...
i think it’s the opposite. i think they were bullied too much, and this is the consequence.
we can still bully them now though.
also your comment implies that they were one child that morphed into two men. maybe that’s why they’re short, they’re each one half of a tall person.
it turns out that sometimes bullying is good
I need to thank Ben Shapiro. My grandfather was in a coma for three years but when the nurse played Ben’s rap song, he got up to turn that shit off.
I work in a restaurant and our kitchen manager constantly blasts nothing but Tom McDonald for HOURS straight. Literally I can't tell whether he's playing a mix of this guy's music or just the same 2 songs over and over again, but in any case it feels like an act of aggression I should bring up to hr
Oh jfc, you poor thing!!! I can't stand listening to country music, hearing it play in grocery stores just drives me up the wall, but at least I can leave. I don't think I could handle dealing with that, bless your heart!
Tom Mcdonald has the Methhead look without doing drugs, it makes him bragging about not doing drugs extra sad.
Most of the other old members of Young Money are keeping quiet and focusing on their businesses.
Nicki mocking Megans feet cuz her shoes are already too big for her to fill at a decade+ younger lol.

True but the ageism is gross
Very excited for the "we stole a cops gun (gone crazy)" episode
It took me weeks to get that “Asian girl” song out of my head after you guys covered it both individually and on the podcast, so I’m looking forward to this.
“Reading out loud for the class flow😭😭😭😭”
I literally just subscribed to the patreon to get more episodes and then this gets posted
Does that mean I’m subscribed too? Since I see this post?
Sad Boyz after therapy makes Fridays a good time :)
fun fact: sometimes bloodletting is still a thing that is recommended for some diseases, the main one basically being Too Much Blood Disorder. also fun fact, in rare cases taking testosterone can cause the Too Much Blood Disorder so if you’re a trans man you could potentially be one of the few people in the world for whom bloodletting is actually medically sound
As a transmac with interest in medieval medicine, I see this as an absolute win
I swear why is it always women and then women who want to transition who have the hardest fxcking time? I doubt I'll ever get to transition :\
My ex liked Tom MacDonald for like 2 songs before she realised he wasn't doing it ironically.
I would like to recite a line from a Kabuto The Python track:
"If you a white kid nobody cares, there's about a million white rappers right over there"
Like, Tom, Thomas, Tommy Boy, Tomathan, you're not being bullied for being a white rapper, you're being bullied for being a white apologist.
And Ben's flow reminds me of what Brian David Gilbert called Educational Rap Flow (derogatory)
True, I don't know if there is a difference between Sad Boyz Jarvis and Jordan and them on their respective TH-cam channels but I've been listening to the podcast every week from when you guys started posting regularly even though I don't keep up with your individual channels
This is so incredibly surface level observation bc getting into all the bullshit in that song is exhausting but like the ‘living w their parents’ line ben let’s not pretend your audience isn’t vast majority ppl who live w their parents as well
It’s such a pathetic attempt to own ppl imo bc it’s like if ppl have the means to live w their parents during the economic crisis we’re going through then that’s just more fiscally responsible, there’s also so many factors that it involves like disability and cultural norms that it’s just so boring to harp on
The misophonia comment really made me happy I don't usually have an issue with Jarvis content but I feel so seen😭
@20:09 i bought a box of random comics at this flea market booth that was closing up shop and she said 8 bucks for all other them and i said yes without looking at them. when i got home i got excited because they were all 1960s spiderman etc comics. i thought i hit the jackpot and then i looked closer and they were all 1980s reprints lol. still worth more than what i paid but relatable.
Oh my god thank you Jordon and Jarvis- I’m waiting for my number to be called at the social service office and I forgot the book I’d planned to bring at home. Nearly died but alas I am saved. Thank you.
The first song is the definition of "He don't know you lil bro"
4:30 oh boy jarvis. I'm 31 and my initial diagnosis was the same: 2020 vision but I need to make an effort to focus. you should try getting kitboga on the show sometime! i watch him pretty frequently and he seems so nice but i also completely agree with your concerns about the ethics of targeting those kinds of scammers. would love to hear you guys have a conversation with him on the ethical dilemas surrounding his work/that industry as a whole (esp in instances where his audience just… gets pretty racist with it which i think he’s pushed back on before)
In the live streams, comments about nationality, race, etc are strictly prohibited. I don't think they pay as much attention to the youtube comments, though.
Kitboga would be an amazing guest. Would be great to see where the conversation would go between them all. Kit's audience is usually very respectful because that's the example he puts out, but I've never watched the streams live though only later on his YT channels.
I do have to say that I absolutely disagree with what they said though, there is no excuse for scamming.
His comments often have one dude who just says the same racist stuff each time and he hasn't been banned yet
This podcast is perfect for silly lil goofy guys
6:08 Genuinely i have really really bad misophonia, but you guys don't bother me because of how much I like you. I don't know why thats a thing that happens but. I love you!
Hey audio only listener here! This is so my comfort podcast for riding on the bus and it is GREAT for that purpose but I have a little issue. Idk anything about audio so I don’t know if you can fix this, but I always have trouble hearing Jordan with all the background noise on my commute but I can’t turn the volume up or Jarvis/the guest become too loud. Might be specific to me but I wanted to point it out :)

the whole "being unable to do impressions of the people whose voices we hear the most" thing is very relatable and i've always wondered why that is!! i can mimic anybody's voice in the world but my brain is for some reason unable to process doing an impression of my parents
Parents? That one's easy for me! "NYEH NYEH NYEH" 😂
1:06:58 can we talk about how Tom uses forced perspective to make himself look 6’5 in the mugshot scene 😂😂😂
The scammers definitely know what they're doing, they're not just exploited workers working for an evil company.
I got the whole song as an ad the other day. I’m pretty sure it’s been viewed a lot because they paid to get it viewed a lot
Natalie Portman's rap with Lonely Island is literally more "offensive" and better written than anything Old McDonald has put out

"With his reading aloud for the class flow" is devastating
I am blessed with another 2 and a half hour episode of sadboys❤
Apparently Eminem released a beat as an NFT and Tom bought it for $100k and that's what he used for the beat in dear slim. Which is crazy
I think I got this from a hbomb video but scams intentionally don't want to be too convincing to self select for gullibility so as to make their job easier and filter out people who will waste their time
you did but this isn't just some internet factoid with no basis in reality-it's true.
As a kid, I used to get these creature cards from an educational subscription. Weird and Wild Creatures, maybe? Those were cool because I was a nerd. I think those would have more clout than Metazoo.
Oh my god, I thought I was the only one! I got them from my NatGeo Kids magazines as a kid...
0:14 I quite literally may never recover from this.
Thanks for always making my Friday nights! Have a great weekend!!

Very sincerely, this episode is SO much better for misophonia. I appreciate you so much.
this is my fave pod in ages, especially appreciated and enjoyed the nuanced conversation on scam operations ❤️❤️❤️
didn't notice until watching this that Tom had the mugshot prop show him as over 6 foot
Me and my friend both got one packet and that's honestly the only reason I still remember them.
Jordan saying 'Matty Raps' awoke some forgotten memory of binging all of Matty B. Raps content a decade ago
