I love the bathroom floors, but those super plain kitchen cabinets made me sad. A shaker cabinet would have still been sleek but matched the time period of the house more! Glad they also kept the door handles tho. Thanks for the tour!

Please STOP painting old beautiful woodwork, white or any other color. As an owner of a 1934 Tudor Revival Cottage, the unpainted quarter sawn oak, woodword on the doors, trim: mantle, baseboards, crown molding, even the closet selves, are amazing as is. If they were painted, it would be a crime. Restoring them and restraining is always the better option. I don't know if you did it or if it was already done, but it is horrible to see that woodwork covered up like the cheap wood trim of modern houses. Modern trim has no character, no beautiful wood grains, and is very unlikely quarter sawn oak or similar higher end quality wood. That is a huge reason I bought this house, yet so many just paint over them because of the dark stain colors. But you can lighten rooms other ways with light grey paint on walls and ceilings with accent walls a darker color and still enjoy the beauty of the original unpainted wood grain. I hope this practice of painting over instead of restoring ends soon? We otherwise liked the home. If you like homes with painted woodwork, look at home styles that have that, or byild a new one to yoyr taste. Historic Tudor Revivals don't in most cases, which was the point and part of the character, charm, and design.

I’ve seen so many American Tudor style homes that look so gorgeous on the outside so vintage and full of charm! But when you walk in, it’s like mid century modern with cold doctor office style kitchens and everything painted white and it’s a shame! It makes you wonder why they would chose a historic Tudor only to turn the interior into a Hollywood hills home?!? So no this woman in the video is just the realtor and perhaps this home is already sold. I don’t know if the white paint can be removed or stripped away somehow to reveal the beautiful woodwork underneath but it’s still so sad people would mess up what could’ve been a charming home😔

Ugh. They removed all the special parts and made it look boring… like every other house. So sad. Don’t buy Tudor style if you don’t actually like it, right?! 🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️
