Great review although I must admin that my experience with Dive Xtra scooters (mainly P1) is not that positive: I dove it already a couple of times, even a brand new one and after a few dives the propellers seems the slightly hit the protection which makes an disturbing sound.
So I'm wondering of the same design was used as the P1.
Next to that, at first sight sight it's much lighter that let's say the Suex VRt (which is the same market target).
I'm also wondering how it will do once you start to carry 2 or 3 80cuft stages. Agreed ... that we're not talking recreational anymore... but seen the price I think a lot of OC and CCR Normoxic/ TriMix diver will be looking at buying this device..
I was convinced of buying a suex but now this DPV comes to market maybe I need to review my choice again.

Hi, I would check out the X Scooter group on Facebook for a lot of user feedback on the Blacktip, I could tell you its great, but I'm sure its more relevant coming from actual users. facebook.com/groups/25563964926/
We typically run all our props with very little clearance to the shroud as the tip of the prop blade is the most efficient part. This does mean that they occasional start to touch. This is quickly fixed with a piece of sand paper. Hope this helps. Ben

Why is that the travel seems to accept one battery and the tech accepts two but the rating show the same run time with a 9ah or 12ah battery setup. Shouldn’t the tech last twice as long if two batteries

Both the Travel and the Tech models accept two batteries! The only difference between these two scooters is the length of the body tube, and the additional weight plates included with the Tech to help trim it out. Does that help?

How can a person use so many words to communicate almost nothing at all?

This video is more about relating my general first impressions of the scooter as one of the BlackTip test divers. If you are looking for more specific information on the scooters design features and capabilities you can check out the BlackTip Specs & Features video here: th-cam.com/video/UwDJjXvLRvg/w-d-xo.html
If you have any further specific questions about the scooter you can contact Dive Xtras Directly and I'm sure they would be happy to answer them for you.

If you have a specific question about the scooter - please ask it. If you would like a different kind of video - please let the owner of the video know. If you have suggestions about how this video could be better and what could be done differently - please let creators of the video know. Dive Xtras is an awesome team who's doing a really great product. And diving community is one of the nicest, friendly and supportive groups of people I know. There is no need to be salty. It's not helpful.
