Trying to fix the rear leaf spring on my 1997 volvo 960 wagon I'm not sure what I want to do with this one yet. drift wagon? another Ls swap? Any ideas comment below.
I have the Volvo 1997 960 sedan version of this car. I think I have the same problem when I go hard over speed bumps and when the car drops it creaks from the rear left side. Sucks because I just bought it as a first car and the car rear is already on level with the bumpers like not even a centimetre gap between them.
@@sketchygarage3920 I don't know yet I will have to jack it up tomorrow and figure it out. Anyways I am not paying 400 bucks for a leaf spring I can tell you that right now. If it is shot I might buy a parts car and also get leather seats at the same time or I will figure something out trying to repair it.
Sketchy Garage yeah definitely go for it. Look up this 242 Volvo build where they took one of these 6 cylinders and built it for some power and swapped it in there

Is the right rear also broken on yours like it was on mine? Many that I saw in the parts yards were broken in the exact same spot.

Bet you anything it was jumped, those leafs are strong, a clean snap like that is probably from a landing.
It was broke when I bought it. Also the new "used" one I replaced it with also broke in the exact same spot

I would keep the 6 cylinder in there,they are a pretty capable engine with tuning and stuff.
This one runs kinda rough @ idle but seems to have decent power. I think it would be fun to build a Sleeper
