Definitely one of my favorite dudes in moto. I always wonder what his career would've looked like without his backflip crash. That absolutely changed his trajectory, I'll always remember cheering for his 450 SX win when he had the track banner wrapped in the rear wheel. I was so afraid of it locking up and sending him over the bars.

When you have multiple friends on them I swear the lack of motor noise makes riding even more fun. You can talk and yell while riding and hear each other crystal clear. When you’re battling you can hear tires cutting through dirt and know how close you are to each other.
@@joshhill75 Has Stark talked about adding sound feedback to the bike? Maybe a tone that changes based on a mix of wheel speed and motor amps? Might help out on judging speeds.

@@Unitedstatesgov598how do you know? Maybe the sound of a tire flexing is different for the two of you. He was hardly making stuff up and not even coming close to "hating on electric." I think you do hear the tires flex and grip because there is so much torque and it being ⚡⚡ electric you hear what tires sound like. They sound somewhat hollow, which they basically are hollow but you get to hear it grip and the torsion created. You also hear the shocks slamming, tires making contact again after a big jump, the fairings banging against each other. That is a whole lot of getting used to after riding ICE for 25yrs then all the sudden you hear it all. So he didn't hate on them but I will. I think making ELECTRIC dirt bikes is the dumbest idea ever. You can rebuild a internal combustion engine for almost ever but once these batteries die, you have to fork out another 5-6 grand for batteries and not to mention the fire hazard. If there is a pile up after the hole shot and electric bikes battery takes a nasty hit and it bursts into flames and you or someone is under the bike then your getting burned worse than a gas burn and better hope someone doesn't spray water on an electric fire. Plus they emitted thousands of metric tons of fossil fuels just mining for the metals used in batteries and likely a green new deal child slave used his little bitty child hands for 16hrs digging in a child slave mine just so someone could get an E Bike, post a video, then get rambling comments like this. Waste.
So all those big jumps were 80hp? Did you find you started to get a feel for how it works on the bigger jumps? Really dry track would have been an extra challenge too I'm sure. What regen were you running in alpha mode? The full 100%?
That was freakin amazing!! Home boy was ridin the air like an eagle... very impressive!! The landing on that first long jump looked way rough but, undertured, he hit that sucker again at, what looked to me like, full clip as far as that varg stark is concerned.
Haha I was thinking both of those things, too. After many years of 450s, I'm back to my first bike, a 96 CR250...but damn I'd love one of these. So cool how you can hear everything *else*.
Great videos. U should do a video of basics on supermotocross. for the women and casual fans. They dont understand how extremely hard this is. Like how u have to get both wheels on a 2x4 rut and jump a bus and land both wheels into a 2x4 again. Just the depth of how hard it is. U make it look easy. Great job!
Awesome. Dude... you are THE MAN! I would assume, that Stark may in future have a special mod fo FMX guys, who are very skilled, like Josh and recently Coby Raha etc and have options for the power deliver to suit a big jump. Big whip, ramps and so on. Yeah, they sound a bit odd, like a RC car... we will get use to it. But if they could find a way to make them sound just little better, not a speaker/recording, but some small thing that just makes a sound with more a bass feel to it, the transition from gas to electric would be better/easier. Battery tech has improved more than 2-3X in the past 15 years. In 5 years... or less, a full MX outdoors, 30+ 2 moto will be no problem!
My knees and back hurt just watching this. I feel like I just jumped the grand canyon on a dust buster! Next time I watch one of these videos I am going to put my kidney belt on first
So you went with the foot rear brake option? Do you think that is better than the brake where the clutch was? Seems like I would prefer the rear brake pedal as well.
Break peddle is just second nature to me. I lock my foot underneath it in a lot of situations too. I’ll admit the hand breaks are pretty fun too, but i find it takes more effort to use when I’m trying to go fast. It’s great for tighter tracks tho.

Love the air time..
But I like hearing the work sounds of a throaty 2 stroke.. or the low grunt of 450...
I heard you say you turned it down before the first hit. Do you normally stick to a certain HP number or are you adjusting it often?
I tried to match the hp of my 450 on the computer. But that wasn’t enough power, it seemed to fall flat on the take off. So I put it in alpha mode 😂

reminds me of the sound of fat tire bicycles like you can hear the echo of the tire bouncing inside of the tire or something idk its a unique sound
2 strokes sound the best, not debatable. But the noise you hear when riding is mainly tires cutting through dirt, and I love it
That stark is fast! Wow!
3:52 I was looking down responding to a text and had to look up.
Sounded like a cow pissin on a flat rock 😂
I think he’s an inspiration to have the balls to try that on an electric bike
So sick that’s freaking rad!!!
Never thought or considered much about how much noise the tires on hard pack made until watching this.
He can almost make it sound like a 2 stroke on volume 1-100
race tracks that have noise limits after a certain time at night, can run electric bike classes a little later than normal.
