since the disqualification, Sorribes lost her next match in singles, Sorribes/Bouzkova lost her next match in doubles and now, Miyu Kato is the champion in mixed doubles. Sometimes, the karma makes her effect. Congrats to that pair :D
Sorribes was in that next match because of a walkover, not because she deserved it. The defeat was predictable

@@domxem5551 yeah, of course she had lucky because of Rybakina’s withdraw. But she could had won that match against Haddad Maia (she missed an advantage of 7-6 3-0, 40/15). So it was good to see her losing that match jeje
their behaviour won't be forgotten soon in the upcoming events.
its true ! Especially when I saw Tormo and Bouzkova complained Kato to the ref and saying she intentionally hit the ball girl , from that moment the consequences is all set
The positivity of Kato is truly inspiring. Bouzkova and Tormo should simply apologise instead of making excuses for their shameful display. 😎

As a Canadian, I am in the same boat. I always root for Bianca to win but, this time around, I really wanted Miyu to win. I'm sure Aesop could write a great fable around Miyu's ordeal.

It is in the rules: if a player injures someone in the stadium, intentionally or unintentionally, he/she will be banned! What the heII is unclear about that?
Congratulations Miyu Kato for this win! I felt so bad for Kato and Sutjiadi's for their unfair treatment. I hope Sutjiadi also received some justice from RG or from the universe somehow.

Those who attack the ball girl, the opponents of Kato and the referees, who ignore the rules, who ignore the pain of hit and injured ball kids, which in any case is a physical attack AND a violation of the rules, are worst devils who that should never be born. These are devils who should live one day no longer.
@@michael-101 The rules and laws leave room for interpretation. There was no intent or anger. It was an accident. The ball girl was hit a by a soft ball in the back of the neck. There are plenty of other instances where male players (nadal, djokovic, etc.) hit ball girls with full swings/strength in the head(!) and yet the other ball girls shrugged it off and in some cases laughed. You're being ridiculously hyperbolic. Oh, and hi Marie or Sara.
perfect ending to the tournament!! Could not have scripted this better. So happy for Miyu winning mixed doubles, and love her speech as well. Real, heartfelt and respectful.
Roland Garros's Karma is quick as it is. Unfairness rebounds quickly! Kato is now a GS champion and Sorribes/Bouzkova were quickly eliminated.
Mladenovic still lives the singles tournament karma after the Muguruza incident in 2017.

My first time ever watching a tennis mixed doubles highlight after getting invested in singles tennis since 2014 AO. Hard to argue against the existence of karma after everything that happened with Kato, and I dare say I finally have a favorite doubles tennis player to give my support to!
Kato/ Pütz never played together before but could not enter the competition with the partners they would usually have played with (due to ranking points). It happened before (newly paired couples being successful) - maybe the easiest way to become a GS winner. Kato didn't shy away from adressing her unjust getting defaulted in women's doubles. [Side note: BA didn't get hurt.]

So happy that a she ended up with the trophy in the end, a player full of integrity and hard work. On the other hand cheaters never win, maybe temporarily short-term, but they always lose in the end. Congrats to Miyu Kato-san for her Mixed doubles win and congratulations to Bouzkova and Tormo for losing spectacularly in the QF's of the ladies doubles.
