@@carewser sorry to hear that, are you schizophrenic? In general if the patient suffer from schizophrenia for more than a year and less than a 5 year the cure rate (remission) is 50% according to Dr. Hoffer. You are right his treatment and approach is not perfect but at least better than the old antipsychotics drugs. Hope you are doing better.

Metabolic psychiatry is the future- Chris Palmer’s work in the Keto diet or low carb diet is the only direction this could really go

Did you look into connection between allergy and schizophrenia? Schizophrenia may be caused by gluten. It's called bread madness. Also there is cannabis-induced psychosis which occurs only in some people that use cannabis. I think i maybe have schizophrenia because of sunflower allergy

Can you buffer nicotinic acid with sodium bicarbonate?
I do that and i still flush so it's working
Does still have the same effect as nicotinic acid?

You're supposed to buffer with sodium bicarbonate lest the niacin gets too acidic

Hmm, where is the rest of this? My son has had the best results from orthomolecular therapy over APs. Wish more doctors would acknowledge its significance.

@jquirind1 where or how did you find a doctor that does orthomolecular therapy

i'm willing to bet that your son would have gotten better anyway because there's little evidence that orthomolecular medicine is effective

Hi, care to share. I am what they call schizophrenic. but the strange thing is.. I can go for like a year then the symptons return, 1 month in delusions and voices, then 1 or more off

@@carewser Right. That's why he was hospitalized every year for 5 years when on meds. He's on no APs now and hasn't been hospitalized since weening off 14 months ago. Just L-methionine and B6 for the psychosis. Yes, everyone is different but making generalizations for the entire population is stupid.

@@jeanpaultongeren125 Walsh Institute. Not everyone can get off APs but the ortho molecular protocol has been proven in studies the reduce symptoms. Note, there are two types. Under methylated and over methylated. There's a test through Doctor's Data to determine which type.
