That is a good question. I'm not exactly sure what the international shipping charges are. Your best bet would be to call our customer service line and get a price quote (with shipping) for the subs.
If you want loud, then the Solo X without a doubt. However, if you don't have the powerful amplifiers and upgraded electrical system to handle the soloX, along with a proper custom enclosure, it will do you no good.
Regardless of what subwoofer you choose, make sure you have a ported enclosure custom made to the specs of the subs. Without a top notch enclosure, no amplifier or subwoofer is going to give you what you want. The 13W7 is a great woofer, but the two Kicker woofers will have a lot more cone area and can have a much larger box. Consider going with the L7 woofers.
If you want your bass loud, then get Kicker L3 woofers in a ported enclosure. The Audio Control or Epicenter will work great for any system, regardless.
@MrBen305 If you want to run two L7's off of a Kicker monoblock amplifier you'll want to use the Dual 2 Ohm model of the subwoofer. As far as the enclosure you should consider an internal box volume of 1.75-3.25 cubic feet per subwoofer chamber. As far as port tuning for a smaller enclosure you can tune it to around 38 Hz. If you go with the larger box then tune the port around 35 Hz. Good luck with the enclosure and installation, you'll have some bass in no time.
If your L7 is a Dual 4ohm, we recommend going with the matching Kicker DX1000.1. If your subwoofer is a Dual 2ohm, you will need a 1ohm stable amplifier such as the Hifonics Brutus BRZ1700.1D.
@TINYLOWKS If you are referring to the Kicker and Massive Audio combo, the woofers are Dual 4 ohm woofers. You will have to wire them together in parallel/parallel, that is to say wiring the voice coils in parallel and then the woofers in parallel, to a final impedance of 1 ohm.
@tyler409tyler Kicker recommends a ported enclosure that is between 3 and 6 cubic feet. The most suitable enclosure we carry is the Absolute DKS15 with a total box volume of 5.71 cubic feet between both chambers. We however recommend getting a custom enclosure built for your application. 15" L7's are very powerful and if you use a pre-fabricated box, it will end up failing over a short amount of time. Be sure to use a minimum of 12awg speaker wire for your connections.
Two dual 4ohm subwoofers can have a final impedance of either 1ohm or 4ohms when wired together. Now since you can get the most power out of an amplifier at 1ohm, we recommend going with a 1ohm stable amp that is capable of producing between 600 and 1200 watts RMS. The Hifonics Brutus BRZ1200.1D would be a great choice, as would the Rockford Fosgate T1500. Another option would be to use a 2-channel amplifier and run each subwoofer at 2ohms.
Those L7's will handle a little more power than they are rated for. Here are a couple of suitable amplifier replacements: Hifonics Brutus BRZ2400.1D Kicker ZX2500.1 Earthquake Sound Mini D2500 Hope this helps!
Im running x2 L7 S15 Solobarics X2 2000.1 both amps running 1500rms @ 2ohm = 3000w between the pair using x2 AGMs thats my Low Pass now working on Mids and Highs and a 2 channel 1000 rms and another Agm also my Alternators are H/O Big 3 in the midst
I had fun setting the 1st World Record ever set with a pair of L7 12", back in 2000. [ 151.1 with a single ZR600, (Later; 153.7 w/single ZR1000) -Even in spite of Greg Brown trying his best to frustrate my efforts by sending me dissimilar voice coils replacement sets & holding up the shipments for as long as possible. I understand he's no longer there, ...interesting. Thanks to Jerry McCord for his help, R&D work & overall Genius. I wonder how Richard's six L7 12" are doing in Modesto?
@SubZeroSkyLine The recommend ported enclosure size for the 12" L7 is 1.25 cubic feet to 2 cubic feet. We recommend going with a 2 cu ft box for the biggest bass output. Anything over and you can potentially damage the subwoofer quicker because there would be little to no back pressure to counter the subwoofer's movements.
Assuming you will have the appropriate box and amp... the JL Audio will most likely have better Sound Quality (SQ), while the Kicker will be louder (SPL).
@TINYLOWKS Which harness are you referring to? If you are looking to install an after market head-unit you will the Scosche GMOS210. If you don't have Onstar go with the Scosche GM09SBR. These are harness to connect an after market radio, if you are looking for the OEM harness you will have to contact Chevy to see if they sell the original harness.
@MrBadchoice101 Yes you make a good point. For higher powered systems, a battery is the only true choice. Since a capacitor is only regulating power and not adding power for some systems with really high power out puts a capacitor will do next to nothing for them. This is why we always recommend upgrading your battery. It is the best way to assure that your current set up wont completely drain your current battery. Good advice man!!!
@BassHead143 This choice is made more by personal choice. 1200 watts of rated RMS power is available in any Kicker amps, so you're stuck choosing between the 1000 and the 1500. Well, if you're to use the 1500, you'd be pushing an additional 150 watts or more of RMS power towards each L7, which they can definitely handle, but you have to be careful with tuning. The ZX1000 will also work fine since Kicker under rates their amplifiers. So it's more a question of how you want to run your system.
@moochy101 Now, this is not easy to explain because there are so many options and variables to consider when making the purchase and wiring up your sound system. Subwoofers have different impedances (Dual 4 ohm, Single 2 ohm, etc) that change your wiring options when you add or subtract woofers. Amplifiers also have limitations on your final impedance, so the subwoofers and amplifier must have the same final impedance to be connected.
@LiBagsaSinget Currently we have the 12" L7 for $239.95. This item has free shipping available within the 48 United States, and for International shipments, we can discount the shipping rate. Keep in mind for International shipments, your checkout price does not include brokerage, duties, and taxes.
@TINYLOWKS Out the of the amplifiers I listed I would say the Massive Audio would be my first choice, then Polk, Orion, MTX, and finally the BRZ. Yes you will have to wire the subwoofer together to a final impedance of 1 ohm. This means wiring the voice coils in parallel and then the speakers in parallel.
@girblee The wiring you use depends on the amplifier you're driving these woofers with. If the amplifier was matched up properly to 2 12" Kicker L7's, then you'll definitely need to use 0 gauge wiring. I'd highly recommend Kicker wiring, and you can find everything you need for the install just by checking out our main website.
@DjNativeXsanity If you're looking to under power the Kicker L7 you can use some other amplifiers that can output roughly 600 watts and be okay. To clarify, if you have the Dual 4 Ohm model of the Kicker 12" L7 then you can wire the voice coils in parallel down to 2 Ohms. Under $100 is a tough price to meet for a decent amplifier that can output 500 watts or more. The Sony XM-ZZR3301 will work, but for a better matchup go with the Kenwood KAC-9105D. This will feed the L7 900 watts!
Yeah! That sounds like a really good setup. Since they are going into a ported box and Kicker amps are under-rated, you'll be fine. The only thing that would make it better is if you use a Kicker amp kit. Kicker provides an additional one-year warranty on their amps when installed with a Kicker amp kit. When you place your order, talk to the sales rep and we will give you a good deal on the Kicker PKD1. That is going to be a killer system when it is all put in. What speakers are you using?
@tylerk927 Yep, it will hit a bit harder. You're almost doubling the wattage with that larger amplifier, and you'll also have to consider the box you build, but it will be louder if you build the box right. What you'll notice when driving subwoofers that have more power is that they seem more responsive and more dynamic with low bass notes.
In short, yes. The Power Acoustik BAMF-2000/1D is rated to produce 1200 watts RMS at 1ohm. This should be more than enough power for a single L7, whether it's 10", 12" or 15". Thanks for asking!
@TINYLOWKS This particular subwoofer is a dual 4 ohm subwoofer. If you only have one it will wire down to a final impedance of 2 ohms when wired in series. The L7 also comes in a dual 2 ohm version that can be wired to a final impedance of 1 ohm in parallel or 2 ohms when wired in series. Once you have your final impedance that will help you select a better amplifier for the subwoofer.
@SubZeroSkyLine Yeah that would hit really hard, the ported enclosure will cause the subwoofer to produce a deeper bass giving you more SPL. Just make sure you purchase the Dual 4 ohm version of the subwoofer so you can wire it parallel to a final impedance of 2 ohms and therefore get the most power out-of your amplifier. You will not be disappointed with this set-up good job an matching a perfect amp for that subwoofer.
@RichandRyanXposed That would be a good set up, it will be loud but still accurate and precise. Another option would be the Rockford Fosgate T2D415 with the BRZ1700.1D. This will also be loud and precise but will give you a little more output than the Kicker L7. Either way we recommend doing a Big 3 upgrade and a battery upgrade with that much power. 0 gauge wiring is also recommended when you start dealing with higher power outputs.
@Dawgkid133 The best solution would be to follow the manufacture's instructions on enclosure dimensions that best suit this particular subwoofer. If you follow the instructions you will get the best possible sound for this subwoofer. The top mounting depth is 6-11/16" that should give you an idea of how much space you are going to need, cutout dimensions are 11-1/16" x 11-1/16".
We would honestly recommend asking a local installer if you have enough room for the required equipment. They could definitely steer you in the right direction as far as a custom box goes.
It depends on your application. L7's are designed for heavy bass where as the comps are less wattage and will compliment your existing speakers better by adding less bass, but with better quality than the L7's.
@SubZeroSkyLine No that is actually a pretty solid way to tune the amplifier. Just don't turn the gain too high, I know a lot of people out there want to turn the gain to the max but this will cause distortion and could potentially cause damage to the subwoofer. The way you mention on how to tune an amplifier is pretty safe and it allows you to set it to your liking.
@DjNativeXsanity Although the Lanzar amplifier is rated at 2000 watts, I couldn't tell you how the amp will power one 12" Kicker L7. Looking at some of our comparable Lanzar amps, they're rated to push around 1200w at 4 ohms of RMS power when bridged. Caluclating it's power output by looking at it's fuses, it's true output will be about 450 watts when bridged.. It will work, but if you want an affordable clean matchup, I'd consider going with a JH600 and a Kicker L5.
@DorckWoW If you want to run them at 4 ohms final impedance then you have 4 options, Kicker ZX2500.1, JlL Audio HD1200/1, Rockford Fosgate T2500-1bdCP, or the MTX Thunder Elite 4001D. You might want to consider running them at 2 ohms, you will have more amp options and spent a lot less. Also don't get a capacitor upgrade your battery. The XS Power D1200 should be sufficient enough. With that much power it is wiser to upgrade your battery.
@cleaningman94 I recommend the Kicker ZX500.1, MTX RFL600D, or the Kenwood KAC-8105D. Any of these amplifiers will work with the 08VS10L72. Now about it fitting in your car, honestly your best bet would be to measure the space available in your vehicle and try to figure out if it will fit or not. I don't believe it will fit under your seat but it might fit behind the passenger seat if you push it forward.
Any amp with 3000 watts RMS or 6000 watts max, but you have to have the ohms matched up with the amp. You may want to take a look at the 3 kicker dx 1000w class D amps
@stevemeadeisawsome I'd say one 15" Kicker L7 in a ported enclosure tuned to perfection would make your Grand Cherokee heard from around the street that you're car is on. It's not going to have bass going for blocks, but it will sure have the street around you know you'll be coming. If you're trying to really get loud, you can also go with two 15" L5's. Two L7's would really be the best, but if you don't want to break the bank and really increase that setup I'd consider two 15" L5's.
If your amplifier really is 1200 watts RMS at both 4ohm and 2ohm loads, we recommend going with Dual 4ohm L7's. A 4ohm load on your electrical system is less strenuous than a 2ohm load.
To increase your output you need to have a custom ported enclosure made by a professional for those L7 woofers. This will give you a huge increase in output over any other adjustment. A sealed enclosure is not meant for output.
The Hifonics Brutus BRZ2100.1D would be a good cost effective choice to run both L7s as long as you have them wired a 1ohm. The amp s also CEA compliant, so you know you're getting the correct RMS rating. The Massive Audio N4 would also be a good choice and the wiring would need to be the same.
@deaneriley Make sure that you have them wired to the correct impedance, either 4 ohms or 1 ohm. Secondly if your amplifier is not CEA-2006 Compliant then you are more than likely not getting the rated power that is listed and thus under powering your subwoofers which could be part of the reason why they aren't hitting as hard as you would like them too. Switching to a ported enclosure will also help increase the SPL. The L7 will hit much deeper because its a square woofer that covers more are.
Well, the only way to tell is if you use it because each vehicle is different. However, they will hit harder then most if you get a custom made enclosure.
@TINYLOWKS In this particular bass package, the amplifier will produce 900 watts RMS to each 1000 watt subwoofer. This is more than enough to properly power the Kicker CVX154 subwoofers. The Sonic Sub Box 2SV15 would be a fantastic option for enclosing the subwoofers. The box is ported/vented for maximum bass output, and each chamber is 2 cubic feet. Just be sure the enclosures dimensions will fit in your location before purchasing.
@Klave620 Please specify exactly which amp you are running you amplifier with in order for us to tell if they are drastically overpowered. If you play any subwoofer for an extended period of time there is going to be some heat presence. However, if it is heating up very quickly then there could be an issue.
@TheTaroTalkTime It really depends on which kind of sound you are looking for. If you are looking for more overall bass output, then we would recommend the l7. If you lean more towards sound quality then we would consider the t2.
@Lynch951 You'll have a lot of options with that Kenwood X1200M. You can use a VS12L74, or you can use two 10" L7's, unfortunately there isn't a prefabricated enclosure for the two 10" L7's, but you'll want to buy the Dual 2 Ohm models. My favorite combination would honestly be the two 10" L7's run off of that X1200M. You can also run two 12" L5's if you'd like as well, so there are a lot of different options you have with that awesome amplifier. Good luck picking one out!
@josue906669 Capacitors are essentially an energy storing device that discharge energy every time your subwoofers hit. This is done so that the strain of discharge is not taken directly from your battery. If you install 2 Solo-Baric L7 subwoofers it is recommended that you purchase an additional battery. If you notice your light dimming when you are running your system then a capacitor is a good choice to fix the problem but an additional battery is a much better option.
@Carbiine This sub enclosure requires 450W of RMS power at 2 ohms impedance. You could use an amplifier like the Kicker ZX500.1 which will supply an extra 50 watts of RMS power (which the L5 can definitely handle). You could also use an amplifier like the 11DX500.1, just make sure that it's the 2011 model you're looking at.
@TINYLOWKS Honestly this is personal preference. The L7's will take up some more room but will give you deeper bass because of the square design. I am a bigger fan of round subwoofers than square subwoofers because the response is usually tighter and quicker with round subwoofers. So you need to ask your self if you want more bass or tighter response. Once you figure out which one is more important to you it will much easier to just go with the L7 series or the CVX series.
A single Dual 2 ohm subwoofer wires to a 1 ohm load. So, you need 1000W RMS at 1 ohm. However, the L7 can handle a bit more, so go with the NVX JAD1200.1 which outputs 1200W RMS, conservatively rated, at 1 ohm.
@clntsi Your Golf is going to pack quite a punch after an L7 is added. It's a great setup! Just make sure you have enough room for your subwoofer box. The L7 requires a bigger box and you may be a little limited on space. Also, double check to ensure that your alternator can handle the amount of power the ZX750.1 will require to run. You may want to add a capacitor in-line, or even add on a power cell to ensure it's receiving full power.
@zorhis1996 Depends on the woofers, the car, how much you want to spend, how much bass you really want. 2 15"s is louder than 2 12"s but depending on the woofer might require ticker power gauge. 4 12"s would be super loud depending on the woofers but take up a lot of space. If you can get more specific as to what you are looking for we can provide a lot of options.
If you double the surface area of your subwoofer setup, you will be moving a lot more air volume than if you were to use more power on a single woofer, thus a greater increase in bass.
@KingBre99 Go with two Orion HCCA152 subwoofers, they are rated at 2000W RMS each. Then purchase two of the Massive Audio N4 car amplifiers. You are going to have to wire each sub to each amp to a final impedance of 1 ohm. With woofers this strong you will need to have a custom enclosure made, any regular enclosure will be torn to shreds. If you want to be heard this is the way to go.
@TINYLOWKS Well, that depends on what you're after. They're both awesome performers and have extremely similar charactistics. The differences begin in the shape. One is square one is round. The square design of the L7 will allow it to cover more surface area and output more bass, but the round design may be considered more tight and responsive. It's all depending on what you're after at the end of the day!
@TINYLOWKS That is actually the correct way to wire a Dual 4 ohm subwoofer to a final impedance of 2 ohms. If you want a diagram go to our website and type in CVX124 and the select the wiring guide tab and you will see a number of wiring guides to suit your specific needs. But for now you have the single subwoofer wired correctly.
Change to a ported enclosure if you want your bass to be louder and more boomy. A professional box fabricator can tune it to your favorite style of music. A sealed enclosure is best for tight, accurate bass response.
@Klave620 It would not be recommended to run 2 different subwoofers off one amplifier. They have different power handling and may have different impedances. We would recommend either running a 2nd amp and run 1 subwoofer on each amp or get a secondary L7 or CVX.
@PlayasWays We're currently awaiting for the 2011 Model of the Kicker L7's. As of right now we don't have any 12" Kicker L7 models left, as the previous models have been discontinued. We have a few 10" models left, and we should have the 2011 models in very soon! Keep an eye on our website for announcements regarding 2011 product lineups.
@MrSaintAulbins69 It depends on how high of quality of equipment you're looking to put in your vehicle. The reason an L7 is a more expensive subwoofer is because of their quality build. If you're looking for a subwoofer that can take a beating and provide you with some uncompromisable output, the L7 is the way to go. There's other subwoofers out there, but it depends if you're looking for a system that will last "for now" or equipment with true value that can last you a while.
@Allvids9 Both of those subwoofer setups will move some serious air, and produce deep bass tones very well. The bass will actually be somewhat comparable, but the two CVR's will be a bit louder. Two subwoofer drivers are a more efficient way to add a ton of bass to a vehicle. Since you'll be running comparable power to either setup, the two CVR's will produce some awesome results and are a great option to go with.
@tyler409tyler If you go to our website and type in "CVX124" you will see the subwoofer. On that page you will see a "Wiring Guide" tab, this tab will show you how to wire numerous subs to different amplifiers. Just select 2 subs + mono amp, option 2. This will show you how to wire those two subwoofers to a final impedance of 1 ohm on a monoblock amplifier.
@p00nji It totally depends on your truck. Such as the manufacturer, space available, etc. Your best bet would be to contact an installer in your area to help you out.
Check out the Rockford Fosgate T1500-1bdcp. It will be great for powering two CVX 124 at 2 Ohms. Place them in a sealed box for good sound quality. If you want SPL, go with a ported box.
@Ju3lz785 You can power the subwoofer with a lot of great amps, but you're going to want to consider some quality. If you make an investment into a nice subwoofer, you're going to want to invest in some clean power to push the sub with. It depends on which model of the subwoofer you have as well. Look at the spring terminals on the enclosure, and see what number it says. If it says 2, then you're final impedance is 2 ohms, and you can use the JH600 by MTX.
@LandoTheCommand0 Kinetik has a Power Cell calculator and they recommend an HC1800 if you want to add an additional battery. You could also use the Shuriken SK-BT80 which is comparable, or the SK-BT60 which will get the job done as well. With power it's all about maximizing your head-room, so shorting yourself with a smaller battery is never a good idea. Adding a capacitor isn't a bad idea, but it's definitely not necessary if you've added a power cell near your amplifiers.
@Sskouloudis It sounds like you have quite a few questions about car audio in general. I would highly recommend to check out our main website, and sign up to our forums to speak with other car audio enthusiasts, as you'll be able to receive a lot of complete information there. To basically answer your question, Ohms basically effect your wiring option. Choosing between the 2 or 4 ohm versions purely depends which amp you are trying to drive them with.
@DTURK2010 It depends what model of the subwoofer you're using. To use this setup with a perfect Kicker amplifier matchup you can use the Dual 2 Ohm model of the subwoofer along with the ZX1500.1 . Currently, Kicker is releasing their 2011 models - the 11ZX1500.1, but you may be able to pick up a 2010 model still - 10ZX1500.1. Good luck getting your system put together, it will definitely have some high impact bass response.
@shaochiavang Yeah if you're running a T1000-1bD at 2 Ohms, this amplifier will be a perfect match up for the 10" or 12" Kicker L7. However, you can still blow the sub if it's not properly tuned, or if too much distortion is introduced by cranking up the gains, or by internal settings on your source unit.
@CookieDoseXD There's plenty of amplifiers you can use with that subwoofer, unfortunately if you want to go with Kicker you'll need to either overpower or underpower it, but there are other compatible options available. Three options that will work well are the MTX Audio RFL600D, Pioneer GM-D8500M, or the Vibe Audio LITEAIRBASS1. All options are in a comparable price range and are all quality product.
@TINYLOWKS The Massive Audio N3 amplifier will output 700 watts RMS to each subwoofer. This will be enough for the subwoofer to function properly. The Massive Auido N3 amplifier is a solid amplifier and we highly recommended it.
@RYDOGG2992 I would definitely recommend to refer to your user manual for more information regarding box specifications. Each raw woofer's user manual includes detailed information on how to build a box according to the specifications the woofer requires. It looks like the specifications we have, say for a ported box you can go from 3.0-6.0 cubic feet. For a sealed box, 1.5-6.0 cubic feet. Based on math, the volume displacement for the 15" L7 is 103.1³, or 103.1 cubed.
The 08 is their 2008 Model and the 11 is their 2011 model. Other then some tweaks in tooling, style, and slight T/S parameter adjustments, they should be close to the same thing.
@MultiPaksiw If you are talking about Rockford Fosgate's T1500.2DB amps than wow yeah they can easily push 2 15" Kicker L7. We would suggest going with the Dual 2 ohm versions and running them to 4 ohms each and each to one amp. This will give you the best sound and at 4 ohms it will give the cleanest sound because the amplifier will run more efficiently with less stress and heat.
@MoparORnoCar95 If you have Dual 4 Ohm sub you will have a final impedance of 2 Ohm at which point we recommend the Rockford Fosgate PRIME R1000-1D, Kicker ZX1000.1 or the Alpine MRP-M1000. All of these amps will have a power rating of 1000W RMS at 2 Ohms. However if you have a Dual 2 Ohm sub you will need an amp that can do 1000W at 1Ohm. We would recommend the RE Audio VLX 1DE. Running the sub at 2 Ohms will give you more options when selecting an amplifier.
@bitlord888 Since you said you're looking for the earthquake bass and want to be heard, the L7 is definitely the choice for you. A 12" L7 will require some power to be properly driven. The ZX750.1 is a perfect matchup, and will provide a bit of extra power to run the 12" L7. If you're looking for tons of bass, put that L7 into a ported box, built to Kicker's specs for the best possible bass. On our website, type "VS12L72" into the green search bar for this pre-enclosed subwoofer.
Yes, you will be heard from blocks away if installed correctly.
Lmao
I JUST BOUGHT ONE FOR 75 DOLLARS AND 75 DOLLARS FOR ENCLOSER. NEVER USED. DID I GET A DEAL??
John Steel IV you got a fucken steal🙀🙀
U hit a lick!
If you want your bass loud, then get Kicker L3 woofers in a ported enclosure. The Audio Control or Epicenter will work great for any system, regardless.
I personally dont know why people say Kicker is shit. The stuff looks great to me after watching this video.
I personally only like the kicker l7 series
The solo baric is not your average kicker. Wouldn't buy any other kicker than this one.
Which amp would you recommend to push just one of these L7 to its maximum potential.
Yes we do. They are a bolt-on replacement, making it very easy for you to do.
Here are a couple of suitable amplifier replacements:
Hifonics Brutus BRZ2400.1D
Kicker ZX2500.1
Earthquake Sound Mini D2500
Hope this helps!
Would a kicker 750.1 be to little to power two 12 inch L7 or I have to get a more powerful amp
[ 151.1 with a single ZR600, (Later; 153.7 w/single ZR1000)
-Even in spite of Greg Brown trying his best to frustrate my efforts by sending me dissimilar voice coils replacement sets & holding up the shipments for as long as possible.
Once you have your final impedance that will help you select a better amplifier for the subwoofer.
whats better 2 of these or 2 orion hcca 15s
please reply
@SubZeroSkyLine Yeah that would hit really hard, the ported enclosure will cause the subwoofer to produce a deeper bass giving you more SPL. Just make sure you purchase the Dual 4 ohm version of the subwoofer so you can wire it parallel to a final impedance of 2 ohms and therefore get the most power out-of your amplifier. You will not be disappointed with this set-up good job an matching a perfect amp for that subwoofer.
They are both pretty good, it honestly comes down to your preference as a user.
Honestly, either option will do well for you. A square sub will give you slightly more performance.
@xSweetshootx We used the 12" Kicker L7 in the video.
Should you match RMS power or overpower your sub and adjust the gain setting a little lower.
Please refer to our Website for pricing as it can change often. Thanks!
Kicker l7 12s.... Or sundown sa12s. ??????? Whick one is better
Dilmeet singh Munjal Sundowns are louder, L7s are more accurate and smoother
I have a Kicker KXA1200.1 mono block. is that too much power for this ONE sub???
@TINYLOWKS Honestly this is personal preference. The L7's will take up some more room but will give you deeper bass because of the square design. I am a bigger fan of round subwoofers than square subwoofers because the response is usually tighter and quicker with round subwoofers. So you need to ask your self if you want more bass or tighter response. Once you figure out which one is more important to you it will much easier to just go with the L7 series or the CVX series.
thank you for your response . one more question .Should i go with 2 ix 1000.1 or 2 dx 1000.1 amps
I think you should definitely go with Kicker, they both sound pretty nice though
How much it cost
@TINYLOWKS Well, that depends on what you're after. They're both awesome performers and have extremely similar charactistics. The differences begin in the shape. One is square one is round. The square design of the L7 will allow it to cover more surface area and output more bass, but the round design may be considered more tight and responsive. It's all depending on what you're after at the end of the day!
Go to a subwoofer enclosure fabricator and have they make a box for you, it will sound better than any pre-made enclosure.
Yes, so long as you give them time to warm up before you play them on higher volumes and intensities.
Depends what your opinion of "better" is. The L7 will get louder in the right enclosure, but the W3 will have better overall sound quality.
In the right enclosure, they have the potential to be louder.
All options are in a comparable price range and are all quality product.
thank you for putting the annotation up on the cooling vents. btw i order from you guys all the time
@TINYLOWKS The Massive Audio N3 amplifier will output 700 watts RMS to each subwoofer. This will be enough for the subwoofer to function properly. The Massive Auido N3 amplifier is a solid amplifier and we highly recommended it.
Someone was trying to trade me 2 L7 15 inch for my Rockford Fosgate T2 i said no lol
The two 13.5" woofers will have more cone area and be a bit louder in the right box and tuning.
right on man thats the way to go..whats your gain at? ive been thinking about getting two 12" l7'sbut i dont want to strain the amp too much
@bitlord888 Since you said you're looking for the earthquake bass and want to be heard, the L7 is definitely the choice for you.
A 12" L7 will require some power to be properly driven. The ZX750.1 is a perfect matchup, and will provide a bit of extra power to run the 12" L7. If you're looking for tons of bass, put that L7 into a ported box, built to Kicker's specs for the best possible bass. On our website, type "VS12L72" into the green search bar for this pre-enclosed subwoofer.
l7 solo she is like a monster hammer drill😎👍
