Part of my Descendants comes from Barbados and I always wanted to learn how to make Coconut Bread! Thank you for sharing your recipe! Now all I have to do is research my Family Tree!!!!
Hi Oscar, do you know what part of Barbados your descendants came from? Sweetbread is a big staple in Barbados so it's good to start there. Hope you are able to find some of your family. Have a great evening

Go Tina, go Tina, lol. Love your shirt and the sweetbread looks really good, I wish I had piece right now, we do have that tea and sweetbread in common. Love my sweetbread but, I try not to make it too often because I would eat too much of it but you are tempting me. I know you are in glory with your sweetbread, enjoy and have a piece for me. Xo

I just made this recipe for the first time. I think my hand may have slipped with the brandy. Love the channel. I added the Brandy for medicinal reasons. Honest!
I bake my bread at 350 degrees for 30 mins, take them out and brush some sugar water, this gives the bread a nice brown color. Lower stove to about 250 for another 30 mins. Remember all stoves varies so check your temp.
Hello Sonia, I am so sorry to hear about your daughter! I cant imagine what you must be going through. My prayers goes out to you and your entire family.
Belated Happy Birthday and Anniversary to you and Charles. Your shirt is beautiful! I made some coconut buns on Thursday night. Same as coconut bread but just in shape of a bun or a rock cake. They are delicious and no cutting involved💕
Hi Navy thank you so much. Those coconut buns sounds delicious, it does not matter how you shape them as long as there taste good. Thanks for watching have a good night

Hey Tinaraine 👋🏽...I found out that for the black sugar cake you were doing a few months back, almost a year ago...in Guyana they use carnation milk instead of water....I'm wondering if that is how you can get the Carmel pully texture. Just thought I would mention it here.
Hi Kerry, Thank you for the information. I've never seen anyone in Barbados used carnation milk, that is different and I'm sure the taste is delicious. Thanks for watching and for the info. Have a great evening
I have to try this. I will use cinnamon instead of nutmeg since I am not a big fan of nutmeg. I love hot tea as well. Tell more stories about your home. I was born and raised in Germany, so I know how it feels to be a transplant. 😊
Hi Riki, good night, using the cinnamon is just fine you don't need to use nutmeg. This bread is something most people on the Island love to make. It goes well with hot tea in the mornings. Thank you so much for watching and I'm glad to hear you like my stories.

@@Tinaraine yes with the dough hook it changes it to kneading thats what I meant. I added dry ingredients in last and it came out pretty gd this time with the whole wheat.
Hi Lolene, I'm thinking you may have used to much baking powder. I find sometimes different brands baking powder can cause your bread to be crumbly even if you use the same amount the recipe calls for. My suggestion is, give it another try using a little less baking powder and see what happen.
