Loving the series so far! Also I think it's important to note - the shopkeeper and Maritte both refer to Petronella as "they", not "she". Still, I'm excited to keep watching ;D Edit: They correct themselves in the next episode! You love to see it.
That oxley dude used a wand, and the vampire guy used a bat, plus the hat guy having his, well, hat- Marinette and the monsters are the only ones that use themselves!
For some weird reason I never liked in fantasy when casters has to use wands, staffs and etc. Wizard either must be armed with proper melee (for self protection) or bare hands in my opinion.
"Grungomancy" is actually kinda a thing in one of the books I read. It actually becomes really powerful at higher levels due to it being able to 'clean away' any spells that deal with physical presence. Some examples include: One-shoting undead Nuteralizing sand/earth attacks Firing 'cleaning bolts' that can cancel out any elemental bolts besides lightning.
I feel her's is special since it's fire like in witch hunter robin. They say fire was used to kill witches so it was surprising to see a witch wield it
Okay Light itself is a particle moving through space at a set coefficient. if you control light you are controlling the partial itself. which means that you can hold it in place as light also behaves like a wave you can cancel out other light by changing the wavelength of the light you are controlling. this is called I believe complete interference? in turn darkness is what happens when light stops being able to move complete darkness is complete reflection of light shadow as we know it is a spectrum of less and less light being able to get to the shadowed area. some light is but less and less as you approach complete darkness. in truth 'light' is what we call the visible spectrum but in truth that's not quite correct the particle doesn't change. the other wavelengths on the electromagnetic spectrum are the same partial just doing different things. last I checked the universe outside of earth itself emits low level microwaves. which makes seeing anything difficult if that isn't accounted for with the bigger observatories and telescopes as it interferes with the images it could be called too bright to describe the glitched fuzziness to the picture. but if you could control 'light' we as humans call light which is the same particle as a Gama ray btw, light is only in the range of the spectrum we can actually see but since it is defined by humanity in reference to itself it's technically not just visible light. so if you could control light.... would it be light as defined or light the particle? as they are exactly the same particle as what we define as light. it's just moving faster or slower. if it is the latter lasers is the least of it. more like a beam of radiation.

If you could control light you might be able to turn them from waves into particles with mass witch could have incredible destructive potential
Well if you can control light you can bend light around your self so invisibility and illusion would be a great part of light magic
This is all very interesting.
This game is just getting started you ain’t seen anything yet

since your still using she at the start i will go ahead and point out Petronella uses they/them pronouns,
