Out of the 20, or 30 versions by other young women, including several professional singers, Angelina's is by far the best, yet her "views" are only about 200 + K while at least 3 other singers are above 500 K ? Where are Angelina's fan base, are they asleep at the wheel like "Sleepy Joe"? If they can have over 500 K , then Angelina should have over 1 Million views.

Grandmother Mery Zamani, being a child prodigy herself, knew that in rare cases a baby could be so special that she'd be able to absorb not only music but lyrics as well. By introducing her granddaughter to the greats of jazz, Angelina was able to incorporate nuance and inflections she heard from Billie Holiday (old style jazz) and Amy Winehouse, the most uniquely different jazz singer of all time. Adele is great, but being a non-jazz singer she is unable to match the intensity that Angelina sends deep into the furthest recesses of the human soul. Angelina is the reigning Queen Of Jazz, having taken the baton from Amy.
I am old enough to have started listening to jazz and soul in the 50's and I agree with you that AJ is tremendous talent and I follow her every song .I also BUY her every song as soon as its available , I was never a fan of Amy W. And have never understood her appeal

Janis mesmerized superstar singers like Mama Cass with her raw sound and when Amy's song Back To Black won as the best that year in Britain, you could see Adele in the audience, reacting like a young school girl admiring the performance. Like I said, Angelina incorporates nuance and inflections she heard from Amy, also taking bits of Billie Holiday's style. Add in Angelina's superior overall ability and this 'mix' provided her with something no other singer has been able to match, in my opinion.

Did you know Angelina had a tour in several cities in France in Feb but we’re cancelled due to COVID. It will be rescheduled till Sep. next year?I hope her new album is full of new original music. I think it will have the biggest impact.
While there are 45-50 of her songs that are so good that I consider them masterpieces, this one is at the top of that list, IMO. Can't wait for her album, but I'm not sure I can handle a whole album of new songs, all at the same time. I'm willing to give it a try!!!

Tiny Little Girl Our tiny little girl with the grownup voice was 17 on Jan. 10, 23 and is now 6'1" tall and could be a super model, but I hope the major portion of her career will be dedicated to her music and taking the world to a better place. I don't think she even realizes this power she holds over us and the need to hear that signature voice to fill that empty void within all of us. Angelina Jordan is in fact the "Benchmark" for all other vocalist to try as they might to achieve. I have a number of pictures of celebrities whose height is known, for example, Austin Butler, who played Elvis, is 6ft tall, and AJ published a picture of her standing next to him, she was at least 1 inch taller than him, and she had to look down at him.
Schnell, it's so great to hear someone who does such an outstanding job on this cover talk about the difficulty of this song -- and you perform this song so very, very well. The runs in particular are enormously challenging, as you point out. AJ's runs are so distinct, but also her vocal fry is just so controlled and on pitch. I mean, who pitches vocal fry? And then add the breathiness as contrast to the fry . . . it's over the top control. And even though she is so controlled, all the emotion gets added as well. She holds the emotion back, then releases it in fry and breathiness. It's just astonishing how she commands her voice. She just controls my reaction to her performance in a way that I've never heard before. This is her genius.

She made the song her own and improved upon it with her unique style and superb vocals. Adele has stated that she would like to retire from performing in the upcoming future, maybe she should and instead collaborate with Angelina by writing songs for our Barefoot Princess to sing. I love the ability that Angelina had to immerse herself in the soul of the song, with her usual naturalness and I appreciated her unique and fascinating way of giving it to us. As I loved also the way she wanted to reassure us about her grandmother's health, she did it with infinite delicacy and sweetness, their heads side by side almost counterbalancing the detachment that Adele writes about in the song. Her voice is truly enchanting and her ability to vary pitch, power and tempo so smoothly and elegantly during her performance is absolutely unique. The richness in her voice, her raspy sound, her runs, breath control, and her airy voice, which is always her trademark. Did you know Angelina had a tour in several cities in France in Feb but we’re cancelled due to COVID. It will be rescheduled till Sep. next year?I hope her new album is full of new original music. I think it will have the biggest impact.

Tiny Little Girl
Our tiny little girl with the grownup voice was 17 on Jan. 10, 23 and is now 6'1" tall and could be a super model, but I hope the major portion of her career will be dedicated to her music and taking the world to a better place. I don't think she even realizes this power she holds over us and the need to hear that signature voice to fill that empty void within all of us. Angelina Jordan is in fact the "Benchmark" for all other vocalist to try as they might to achieve. I have a number of pictures of celebrities whose height is known, for example, Austin Butler, who played Elvis, is 6ft tall, and AJ published a picture of her standing next to him, she was at least 1 inch taller than him, and she had to look down at him.

Schnell, it's so great to hear someone who does such an outstanding job on this cover talk about the difficulty of this song -- and you perform this song so very, very well. The runs in particular are enormously challenging, as you point out. AJ's runs are so distinct, but also her vocal fry is just so controlled and on pitch. I mean, who pitches vocal fry? And then add the breathiness as contrast to the fry . . . it's over the top control. And even though she is so controlled, all the emotion gets added as well. She holds the emotion back, then releases it in fry and breathiness. It's just astonishing how she commands her voice. She just controls my reaction to her performance in a way that I've never heard before. This is her genius.

Hello, Schnell - nice reaction. I've listened to 3 different versions of this song - Adele's , Yours and of course our Barefoot Princess's. Angelina did it again!! She made the song her own and improved upon it with her unique style and superb vocals. Adele has stated that she would like to retire from performing in the upcoming future, maybe she should and instead collaborate with Angelina by writing songs for our Barefoot Princess to sing. If that would happen I believe that they would make an unstoppable music team!!
