Is it an accent or is he just talking that Because he's eccentric kinda like christopher walken... Artists tend to be a little pretentious and or eccentric
He's pretty much the stereotypical example of the pompous "theatre actor". The dude grew up in Illinois but somehow developed a trans-atlantoc accent, lol.
Because of “Being John Malkovich,” I didn’t think he was a real person until I was about 18. So thank you for more proof he is real, I do worry sometimes.
I love how he sets boundaries with the press, especially when it comes to his kids and his granddaughter. “Leave them alone.” Love it. He must be a really good dad.
@@GzeeboSince all of the things they've added to the list, begin with the beginning of his name first, it'd make sense why they didn't add, "Being John Malkovich" Unless many many people searched up, "Is John Malkovich being John Malkovich?" Which honestly, is pretty funny but- If just searching up the movie, it wouldn't be a common thing for people to search up- It'd be a tad bit strange, no? ALSO, these are all questions- The movie itself, the title, is a statement- Not a question :p
Cyrus the Virus is incredibly quotable, he went all out in that film. And yes, I said film. Con Air is a masterpiece, and you cannot convince me otherwise.
I absolutely love and admire John Malkovich. He seems to be so well-spoken, intelligent, and genuinely nice yet he’s perfect in psycho roles like in Con Air and In the Line of Fire. I saw the SNL skit with Bill Hader and it is HILARIOUS!
His memory is amazing. I think sometimes we, the present people, don't think about how there will be future people who will say things like "oh how interesting it would have been to be alive at the same time as (such a person as John Malkovich)" and here we are alive with people like this, sometimes missing the gravitas of their mark on history.
Some of us do think about it and come to inevitable conclusion that people of other professions and achievements leave mark on history not actors and entertainers no matter how good thet are. Stop idolizing performers and celebrities. He made some good movies but none of this changes anything globally/historically or even in the cinema industry.
Miscast in Dangerous Liaisons? Absolutely not; he was BRILLIANT in it, and it's been my favorite film since I saw it in theaters when I was 17. I sat in my seat as the credits began, riveted and stunned. Every moment, every word, every image in that film is stupendous. I was the only high school kid with a Dangerous Liaisons movie poster on my wall, among posters for punk and goth bands.
I absolutely agree. Perfect choice. He was wonderful in that role. I was reading the novel when the movie magically appeared (that's what Jung called a synchronicity, btw). Great performances by Malkovich, Pfeiffer, Glenn Close...
John malkovich is a very charismatic actor-can do anything/anyone and can be very funny! See Secretariat, RED, and Johnny English. Great parts for him.
Used to live in the same neighborhood as him in Cambridge, MA. Once when I was taking my puppy for a walk I ran into him and he remarked about what a great dog I had.
In both this interview and his most memorable roles interview, his movie Red does not come up which I think is a shame, it was a very entertaining role.
John Malkovich’s accent seems halfway to Werner Herzog.
This is such an accurate description I am laughing so hard
He's lived in Europe for years.
Is it an accent or is he just talking that Because he's eccentric kinda like christopher walken... Artists tend to be a little pretentious and or eccentric
@@TheinternetArchaeologist It's very much a French-affected American accent. Makes sense, he lived there for a long time.
Both John and Werner are Croats
I love the fact that John Malkovich answers all the "googled" question in such dept and honesty. Legend.
-the fact-
Do you also preface when you’re going to tell a lie?
Quite possibly the last person I expected in one of these videos. He brought an elder statesman energy that made it very refreshing and unique.
You mean boring?

I think you were in a safer world never knowing Malkovich exists.
He compliments Steven Spielberg's tuna fish. That's CLASS right there.
Man’s just being himself in this interview. He’s being John Malkovich
That's a comment and a half!
That's the film I came to see here. And it wasn't mentioned 😢
Just like that movie: Jaws.
Malkovich, Malkovich, Malkovich.
That's hilarious, there actually a real movie called "Being John Malkovich" too!!!
I love how he sets boundaries with the press, especially when it comes to his kids and his granddaughter. “Leave them alone.” Love it. He must be a really good dad.
I LOVE HIM. John can play ALMOST ANYBODY on Earth. He's THAT GOOD.
Extremely intelligent man. And a fantastic actor.
True
Agree
He's so relaxed.
It's like he's just being John Malkovich.
Ba - Dum - Bum - Ching? 😂😂
Is it weird that apparently nobody ever googles that movie?

He might be tired of discussing that performance is all I can guess.
Why make a joke if you can’t be original?
This man is 70 years old and has a way better memory than i do at almost 40.
Sorry, brother, but your most quoted line is, “Make a move and the bunny gets it.”

@@kronabus199a okay john egbert homestuck!
I woul have thought it would be "Welcome to Con-Air"

"Johnny Cusack" and "David Chapelle" really got me for some reason lol

Masterful actor, and always such a commanding, relaxed presence in interviews. And 9:22 that sign-off and mischievous smile at the end. Perfection.
I don’t know why, but i love listening to him talking, even for hours.
Talk about longevity. He is such a diverse and spectacular actor and not enough words can be said.
John Malkovich speaks in cursive

I love how he is completely unphased by anything.
Lol right😅
I have never watched one of these all the way through but he is so captivating. The last question that wasn't even on the board? Chefs kiss perfection
No questions about the movie "Beeing John Malkovic"? I'm dissapointed in you, internet 🙁
You’re on the internet so this is all on you.
I'm always quoting RED... "I'm getting the pig"
such a sympathic man, one of my favourite actors
He is a very distinctive actor, no one can deny that.
Misscast in Dangerous liasons?! He's perfect in that. What an actor.
OMG I love JOHN !also BILL HADER'S impression of John is PERFECT!
Freakin memory on THIS GUY
His role as Ozzie in Burn After Reading is one of the best
"You are part of a league of morons."
This was even more pleasant to listen to than I was prepared for. Wow.
He was in a bunch of good movies
And plays. I was surprised he didn't mention being in Burn This, on Broadway in 1987...
Hmm, it would be interesting for John Malkovich and Christopher Walken to have a casual dialogue heavy conversation in a Tarantino style scene.
Malkovich, America's gift to the world.
He forgot his most famous quote: "You mock me. I will not be mocked!!"
One of John's best performances was Places in the Heart with Sally Field. He does and amazing job playing a blind man in the great depression.
John Malkovich is awesome in all aspects. Great charactors everytime.
I'm a bit suprised he never played a Bond villain... I mean, just LOOK at him!
John malkovich is a very charismatic actor-can do anything/anyone and can be very funny! See Secretariat, RED, and Johnny English. Great parts for him.

I wish he talked about his time at Steppenwolf Theatre in Chicago. I saw him years ago in Lost Land and he gave a great performance.
I watched Of Mice and Men last week starring John and Gary Sinese. His acting skills are phenomenal! Now I need to rewatch Con Air, LOL!
What a treat to see John M...big fan
I am getting the pig! Is the best quote haha, I love this man ❤
Because of TH-cam, I cannot watch John Malkovich without thinking of Aisling Bea cracking him up! 👍for both😆
A very good friend of John's was Julian Sands, RIP. 😢
My favorite actor ever ❤
Never disappoint John Malkovich. He will remember everything.
But now we need a sequel of this but through his eyes.
Love John Malcovich! He seems very humble and nice
Around my house, "Eff Microsoft!!" is the JM quote that comes up the most ... by far. Even when the thing we wish to curse at is not MS.
He has a max. Level of intellectuality and authenticity.
John Malkovich is so Malkovich, is so funny. You can tell every word he says is thoughful.
John Malkovich the SNL driftwood artist, funniest skit ever
He was awesome in The Man In The Iron mask ❤️ he seems like a very chill person 👍 great interview 😊
I wish his boards were like the ones that had questions instead of just his name & 1 or 2 words
Wow John has a great memory

He is an awesome man. Love to have him as a neighbor.
My fav movie with him in it is 'RED'
His Snl christmas skit was so funny😂😂😂😂
No way! Here’s my favorite quote:
“There’s the truth, and there are lies, and art always tells the truth even when it’s lying.”- Being John Malkovich.
Awesome actor. I just watched In the Line of Fire a few nights ago for the first time.
I love the Bruno story and the imitation of him
He can say anything and it is captivating. "David Chappelle, believe it or not"
Losing hair is "not ideal for an actor". Says one of the most revered actors alive. 😆
I liked John in Of Mice and Men!
Hardly anyone bringing up him in Johnny English, he was great in that 😂
