Good review, thank you. We've been considering one of these because my wife and kids don't like smelling like smoke when using our traditional firepit and thought this may help reduce that "problem". I've seen a lot of reviews on Amazon and even in the comments here where folks are saying this firepit rusts, and fairly easily. Can you confirm or refute that? A lot of those reviews are a year or two old, so have they changed the design to try and prevent this? While I like the idea of it being "nearly" smokeless, I'll be damned if I spend $600 on a firepit that's just going to discolor and rust. I could probably live with the discoloration, but the rusting would not be acceptable. I've also heard the heat output is pretty meager compared to a "traditional" firepit, so maybe the "smokeless" design comes at a cost.
If you buy the Solo Ranger fire pit Amazon has a grill grate that fits the inverted top ring.....”onlyfire Stainless Steel High Heat Charcoal Fire Grate for Kamado Joe Big Joe Grill, 12-Inch”
@@ronpreece3429 well whether or not you work for the company, they should be grateful to you because I’ve just bought one after seeing your comment- I wouldn’t have known about it, otherwise. I bet there are others like me who have seen your comments all over the place ...your time wasn’t wasted! Xo
Good review. However my recent experiences with them indicate the customer service in not up to scratch. You cannot get through on their telephone line to speak to anybody. Anyone else experienced this?
Does it keep you warm sitting around it?
Added reason... it won’t burn your lawn or deck.
Nice job. You said it’s not perfect. What don’t you like about it?

Nice review!
Why would you have a fire pit on a hot summer night? Weird.
Do you camp?
Camping and then cook over it
