UNBELIEVABLE. I have never see the like of this in my life. It was a great Premier League with the 2 best players in the world deservedly meeting in the final but for Littler to hit that stunning 9 darter after the break with the scores level was just unreal and then to keep his composure and break in the next leg was probably even more special. This kid is just from a different planet. Credit to Humphries, a class act and always gracious in defeat. These two will have a great rivalry and i cant wait to see more.

Van Barneveld hit ten nine darters in a 40 year career. Littler is 17 and he's hit four in six months. Absolutely incredible.

That was a great, great Final.
It’s very easy to forget that the young man is just a teenager. He is cool and poised. He is already - arguably - the best in the world. I will argue that he IS.
Darts is in such a good place right now, amazing players with terrific attitudes. The Lukes, Smith, MVG, Asp and Cross at the top of the pile, they make the sport a joy to watch.
Im loving Glen Durrunt on commantary. He was a great player, but his analysing is great
Unfortunately he came to the pdc did great but it was so painful how bad is confidence got watching him play in the Premier league other year then he dissappeared.

I think you could tell just by watching him in the World Championship that he wasn't going to be a one hit wonder. His darts just magnet themselves into that treble 20 and the countless 180's and 100+ finishes he got and gets now are unreal.
At this point now, Mvg is done for!!! Humphries & Littler are just out of this world right now!!!
I don't think MVG can ever be written off, however the aura he once had has disappeared, the way it did for Phil Taylor, Barney and every other former great. Michael's biggest weapon has been taken away from him - he had legitimate claim to call himself the best player in the world. He now cannot say that because the two Luke's are on another planet. I think once he reconciles with that we can see MVG win more, but he'll never get to dominate like he did for a small while.

Prime MVG had the longest winning run in TV history, highest average on TV ever, 9 darters and 170s galore, was quite literally almost unbearable for at least half a decade. Phil has More accomplishments hence the greatest but Michael is the best, that's just facts and statistics show it. Phil played people with 2 left arms compared to the competition nowadays
You can see that there was mutual respect and admiration between two brilliant darts players. What a final - fantastic nine darter!

Er ist ein Phänomen. Nach 5 Monaten Profikarriere sollte man keine voreilige Schlüsse ziehen, aber gefühlt hat dieser Typ das Potenzial, selbst Phil Taylor in de Schatten zu stellen. Unfassbar stark, was er da auf die Bühne bringt. Im Finale der Premier League-Saison einen 9-Darter zu spielen, ist das entsprechende Sahnehäubchen auf der Torte. Gute Darts zu spielen ist eine Sache, gute Darts in den Momenten zu spielen, wo es wirklich drauf ankommt, die andere. Und das macht er mit seinen 17 Jahren (^Zweifel^) so konstant wie aktuell niemand sonst.

Phenomenal darts. The correct 4 players in the finals, regardless of the league scores, in my opinion. Shame we couldn't do it with 5 and add Aspinall, lol. 2 best players in the final, and I expect many, many final showdowns between the 2 Lukes... outstanding players.

Incredible. Littler wasn't ready, they said. YES. HE. WAS. The youngest ever winner of a PDC major. And a 9 darter in the final to boot. I gotta applaud Humphries for that 132 in his semi-final against MVG too. How he got that second bullseye with where the first dart was, I will never know. One of the best checkouts I've ever seen. Darts just keep getting better and better and I'm all for it.

He’s nowhere near goat status yet, not even close to top ten, but if he carries on playing like this, he’ll have about 10 years extra in his career with to beat the winning records of the likes of Taylor and MVG, Anderson, priestly, bristow, RVB, but beating Phil’s world championship record will be tough
Imagine being one of the people who said he shouldn't be in the line up.. We have never seen anything like this - sheer madness.
Everyone was correct to say he shouldn't have been involved, but it was clear that he was brought in due to his hype after the World Championships and the fact that he just turned 17.
He could have had a campaign like Peter did this year going up against all former World Champions minus Aspinall, which will be incredibly tough for any newcomer, but he did very well indeed and now he has shown he can be involved in any tournament now.

I was happy to hear that behind the scenes MVG has been super supportive to Littler, on the pro tour, with all the traveling they do and in the Prem League too.

For me these two players are no.1 & 2 in the world right now an they’re both called “Luke”. Great sportsmanship from LH and a great final. No other darts players come close to these two when both on form. Luke Littler is the best darts player I’ve seen for his age. As Michael Smith said recently he’s making all the other darts players a “lot of money” 💰

Littler was always worth money to the PDC, that's clearly why he was included but holy s*** did he deliver. Top of the league stage, a 9 darter in the final and the victory to boot. Humphries is right, the Luke's are the best in the world and they'll be battling it out for ages now. It's gonna be fun to watch

I think even Phil Taylor would of spat his coffee out with excitement after seeing that 9 darter,superb playing from all players this year
And people were debating whether or not he should have been in the Premier League.
What a fitting end to one of the most magical and memorable Premier League campaigns I can remember.
No surprises in SemiFinal 1, Littler played out of his mind and Smith just didn't have the accurate scoring to keep up.
SemiFinal 2, Humphries and MVG traded blows and at times it seemed like MVG was gonna go on to compete for a three-peat of Premier League titles. But Cool Hand lived up to his name again and ensured that there would be a new name on the PL trophy this year.
And then in the final, Luke vs Luke. The matchup everyone had predicted from the start. Yet another hard hitting affair, with Littler and Humphries trading blows through the first 10 legs. Then Littler hit that legendary 9 dart finish in leg 11, and it all went the Nuke's way from there. Humphries tried his hardest to keep up, but there would be no denying Luke Littler his first major TV title.
I am very highly looking forward to next year's campaign!

Littler averaged 118.7 after the interval, winning six legs in 73 darts. All eight legs after interval won in 99 darts.

That means between them,for 8 llegs the AVERAGE was a touch over 12 darts per leg

I only just started watching darts, man, this was a great match. Littler is going to be hard to beat, practically unbeatable when he’s on, humphries knows talent when he sees it, that’s why he’s such a good sport whenever he is matched up against Littler. They have acquired a fan from across the pond for sure
