Watching this about a year after the original take came out, and this is still AMAZING :D
I like how it's a complete circle I've never seen an elevator like this before.
They were more common before the 1980s, and this one dates back to the 70s probably

I have, at the Cinderella Royal Table at Walt Disney World in Orlando, FL.
Love it. Looks a little like the one we have at the Juneau S.O.B (state office building) Very interesting look.
I noticed there was a card reader under the inside button panel I wonder if thats how you would access the ground floor

It's look like an Aperture Science Elevator (Portal 1) Game.
But, this elevator is older than the Game. :/
Those elevators are powered by pneumatic air.
The Circle has the same elevator like Westfield World Trade Center

I think it actually rotates because the doors upstairs look like a rear door.
very amazing! This comes close to Star Trek and for me, even the fixtures are abit like that. Round, white. Just amazing! And the floor indicator in the cab is epic.

One of the buildings in Smith College in Massachusetts has/had a similar elevator to this one.
That is so strange that they locked off the ground floor because thats where the exit to the building is

Here in Wichita at the Bank of America Building there is one which was designed by an industrial artist, built by Montgomery and used at the World's Fair back in the 1960s. It is an MRL hydraulic elevator with a red velvet interior, and it has decorative landing lights at the lower level (it goes from the mezzanine down to the lowest level).
Why ground floor is locked?
It's probably an associate only floor.

Those buttons remind me of the 1st car park I visited once I was out of the airport in Florida over my summer break this July. It was an old Dover or Generic but it had the exact same call button. I didn't get to ride it *unfortunately* since once again, in buildings where there's elevator and public stairs, they always chose to take the stairs which irritates me because now I have to do all my elevator videos THROUGH SKYSCRAPERSIM

Ya' know what you need? Go to one of those "spy gear" sites and you can buy pens and eyeglass frames with micro cameras in them. I denno how good the video quality is or how long they can record, but that would be perfect for clandestine "elevator missions" when there are too many guards and managers lurking around...
The door operation of groaning ruins it! Too bad it doesn't have the star trek sound, and speed! Who knows, in 50 years it may even teleport!

2:09 that tiling outside on the top floor looks incredibly shinny but it does look really slippery so people might have to watch their step when going in
