There’s a theory I found that The Man in the Suit Analog Horror series is actually leading up to be an unofficial origin story for Shin Godzilla. The Blood vomit and body horror are our first clues but that’s just a theory at the end of the day. Plus in Matt Frank’s fan fiction series, Godzilla, Legendary Godzilla, Shin Godzilla, and Godzilla Earth are all individual separate characters.

Hey Dman! I’m just curious on what are your thoughts on this cancelled Godzilla film from 1979 “God’s Godzilla”? The story goes like this: In the midst of World War III in 198X, the gods of our world, in actuality consciousness-based alien lifeforms, arrive on Earth in a spaceship from outside of the Milky Way Galaxy. The creatures fly to the Nazca Lines of Peru in which a dinosaur-shaped figure was newly discovered: Godzilla. The spaceship lets out a series of flashing lights, reviving the creature as a malevolent god of destruction. As the United Nations scrambles to prepare countermeasures against Godzilla, the gods send down a humanoid identifying himself as Jesus, who is both manipulating the monster and afflicting humanity with nightmares and hallucinations. The gods destroy the Earth's Van Allen radiation belts and send the world's cities into disarray using their spaceship, as Godzilla destroys coastal cities with tsunamis. An image of humanity's future is projected upon the skies above Giza, Egypt, depicting their horrifically mutated descendants. "Behold, your future!!," Jesus' voice booms, standing atop a pyramid. Godzilla crouches like a sphinx as Jesus ascends a stairway of light toward the heavens. What are your thoughts on this story and do you wish it was made?
KOTM is the objectively better film. It has great characters, complex themes, and amazing writing. Every time I watch the film, it moves me to tears. It got bad reviews because everyone who criticized the film didn't have the necessary IQ for peak viewing. You have to have a very high IQ to enjoy it, something most people don't have. As we know, your average Monsterverse fan is highly intelligent and it's pointless to debate them since they win every single time...they mog philosophers of old. Meanwhile, shin's just a dumb action flick for normies. No themes, mindless action, extended dialogue scenes to pad the runtime. Gets rave reviews because it panders to normies and was easy to digest - unlike the peak kino that is KOTM. Man, when Shin began evolving, I realized that without the gimmicks...it's just a shallow retread of the '54 film minus one important element - the endearing human characters. It favored glorified mouth pieces over multi-dimensional characters and it comes off as more of a lecture than an actual story. It's didactic storytelling - in a millennial sense - at its finest. Meanwhile, KOTM - the "inferior" film - had fleshed out human characters and presented the kaiju as more than mindless zombies...yet Shin is somehow the better film. 🙄 Anno really outdid himself with the third entry of the MV and it's too bad they dropped him in favor of Wingard. Maybe Anno will direct an anime someday? Who knows....🤔
It's pretty cool how we have two Godzilla films that are set in the past and present and both are extremely well made
