Don't apologise for making a baking video! Your idea to use the Stanley cup was great, and your improvised coals rack and shelf were quite inspired! As was the baking pan, complete with pull tab! The proof, as they say is in the pudding, or in this case, the cake, which looked absolutely delicious. I figured that your two little helpers would be eager to test the cake, and of course they were. Thank you for your lovely, inspiring baking video, subscribed.
Wow, gr8 way using the Stanley pot 4 baking. Very innovative of bushcrafting simple stuff for a delicious meals. Just carry 2 stanley cups, & make a gr8 breakfast, lunch, & dinner. Thx 4 sharing on the internet. Keep on bushcrafting.
A great thought to convert use of the cup. The addition of an interior floor is the essential part to true conversion to an oven. Revolutionary dude! My mind is spinning with new uses. Thanks so much for sharing.
Greetings from South Africa! I bought one of those when I was in the USA a while back, I love it...I'll be using it next week when I spend the week alone at the fishing hut...thanks for the great tip!
Hi Keegan and Dorian. Loved seeing the option of using the Stanley cup and the firebox, backyard cooking was perfect! Great video even though it was years ago! Looking forward to finding more of your content!
Awesome Shane! Great ideas as always! I love this horizontal baking thing, I think the rounded surface helps spread the heat better than the flat bottom of a vertical pot making it so you don't over heat the pot's material as much getting the job done. Thanks for introducing me to the idea. And I love that it works just as well in something as small as the Stanley cup. So Cool!
Really awesome idea. I will give that a try, too. I‘ve already seen the video from firebox stove with the billy can modification for baking. So yours ist the smaller version and less expensive. Cool stuff, Shane. Thanks for sharing, even if it‘s a few years ago.
You sir, are a freaking genius! That was an exceptionally creative use of your Stanley! Oh my goodness; who knew you could bake in it! This changes everything! So many Ideas, Wish it would quit raining, so I could try some! Thanks for the video! Cool, very cool! Thanks again!
That was awesome Shane! I only got my Stanley nesting set a few months ago but haven't used it, this idea is brilliant! So I don't have to just eat tinned food or cook rice and packet pastas. Having a small loaf of bread like that could really lift the spirits of the group.
This is awesome I picked this up at Walmart today and then put it back down and decided to do research and you just sold me! Going to buy this now!! I subscribed Thanks
Thanks so much for sharing this.Purchased a Stanley cup recently and a similar wood stove. Great learning experience for the your folk also. Thanks again. Looking forward to the new year.Regards
Thanks for watching! I really appreciate it. The Stanley cup really is A great little piece of gear. I appreciate you stopping by and commenting. It means a lot
Re-found this one after a long while. See that I liked and saved it already👍 This is the video that now has me subscribed to your channel, friend. Plus I see Firebox Stove comments, and I appreciate him, too.
@@Shanecoffeyoutdoors You're welcome🤝 exiting a 7 yr relationship and I'll be having more time with myself, lol. Time to get back to the outdoors like I used to👍
Great idea! Great result! Great fun for the taste tester squad! And I appreciate yet another good use for my Stanley cook pot. Be picking up some biscuit mix next time I'm in the grocery store. Thanks again.
Hi to all your kiddies, they are so cute, your dog is beautiful. Who cares about some burnt spots. That is amazing. I must try it in my Stanley. Thanks. That is a hit. Nice video... I do everything in my wooded backyard also. There's no place when you live alone.
Wow, great idea, Shane! You implemented it nicely with the Esbit accessory plate inside the Stanley cup to hold the pan, and the DIY "baking rack" on top for the coals. Steve would be proud.
Nice custom pan. Good job making that work. Those Stanley cups are great. I like that you didn't have to be in the amazon to try something out. Making the testers happy really is it's own reward. You are superdad to those guys! Keep the ideas coming!-Mike B. MWW
Definitely going to give it a try. Been following Steve and the firebox journeys too but never considered a smaller alternative to the billy pot bakes so thank you for the successful experiment & idea!
I've got lots of Stoves...the main two stoves that have won me over have been the Firebox 5" and the Nano. The Nano is just so quick and easy. I used it to bake with a zebra pot back a few video ago as well. It's made well and has so many options.
Oh, I can almost smell it from here! (Nagoya, Japan... been years since I've been back home, Stateside) - this was a damned good video! Camp stoves, and actually, camp OVENS, whether fold-able or not, even if you get 'em from cheap Chinese websites, are so danged expensive! But the basic versatility of the good-old Stanley cup is something many of us can tend to forget - thanks so much for this video! 🙂👍
Now that is freaking genius. I now have another use for my Stanley Cup. I will be trying this out on my next outing. As far as the egg drop fire starters. Don't worry about that I'll make another batch in a couple weeks and send some more your way.
This is the coolest hack for the Stanley cup! Great vid, and I must try this hack and recipe per the rave reviews from your toughest critics/taste testers!
I have been flirting with the idea of buying a Stanley Cup set and now I guess it's a done deal thanks for the awesome video and ideas. Great work by the way. Happy filming
Very well done, no pun intended!!! Would sure love that bread recipe!!! Anyways, me and mine wish you and yours all things great and good!!! Take care, be safe, all my best and God bless!!! Chuck Knight from Buffalo, Texas. 🤠🐩🖖
Dude, been looking for a baking video that uses stanley cook set. outstanding ideas and cookology. Gonna try muffins and see how it goes. great video. thanks
@@ronr.53400 Well he didn't say how long it took. How would you do it faster? Baking of this type usually requires 350 degrees for a certain time. muffins would be faster than the bread loaf, but not the quantity.
what a cool idea, that pot set worked really well as a mini oven, top banana buddy, if you get a large paperclip you could probably attach the lid to the handle so it opens as one unit, save a bit of finger work, but hell yeah, great idea thanks for sharing,
