- This is the edited version of the stellaris apocalypse story trailer that was released!
Katz over at paradox said I could not make one superior to the original. I have to agree that paradoxes was a lot more emotive with a voice actor and more care put into it. But for a few hours of work I would say this was not too bad.

Paradox Interactive, a publisher and developer of games that
will be with you until the end, today announced that Stellaris: Apocalypse, the newest
expansion for the sci-fi empire-destroying game from Paradox Development Studio, will be
available on February 22, 2018. Apocalypse, an expansion focused on new warfare options and
galaxy-altering weaponry will be available to Stellaris players on Windows, MacOS, and Linux
PCs next month at a suggested retail price of US$19.99.
Stellaris: Apocalypse adds an encroaching swarm of new offensive and defensive options,
alongside several nonviolent features. Several free features will also be added to Stellaris when
Apocalypse launches, giving all players more tools and methods to stave off doom. The new
expansion and free update will both arrive on all platforms on February 22.

Stellaris just keeps getting better and the trailers reflect that.

This is genius! Unrealistically strong filed. Every time I look like the first time. Perfect.
A Legend may not die...but it can certainly become your own through absorbtion. Determined Assimilator @ ~200yrs in & 50M Fleet. For every world the enemy lost...my strength INSTANTLY grew. Got to the point all my resources were permanently capped (couldn't spend them fast enough). Could've supported Gigastructures had I had the mod. Somehow I managed to break the game as the end crisis never came about...
Damn,I can't get enough of this game...

Ugh, fuck that was awe inspiring, but scary at the same time when you think about humanities potential future in the Milky Way. Just imagine, living on one of the first few colony worlds one day the impossible happens, FIRST CONTACT, WE ARE NOT ALONE. Moreover, the scene with the female pilot readying to disembark from her carrier, gazing at the technological marvels of Mankind. It really bring it all back down to eye level with all of us and or descendants as all being just regular people in a very BIG and scary void surrounding us on all sides at all times no matter what we do or achieve. The scenes with the giant space monsters also inspires and sense a wonder and terror at the truly infinite possibilities of not only our universe as a whole but also the near infinite possibilities just in our own galaxy. The scariest thing about it all, is the infinite potential for destruction on a scale so far unknown to us as humans. Sure the topic of destroying a planet has been visited before like here in stellaris or in starwars, but when you think about something like that in the Real Life future of our species, there would be nothing more terrifying than watching a PLANET being destroyed in but an instant. The more I think about our future as a whole and the (in my mind) eventuality of first contact, with a species with entirely separate goals for the galaxy and their potentially far flung morals in comparison to our own, the more I come to the conclusion that the odds are extraordinarily in favor of the overall philosophy becoming our reality. That philosophy is that, 'In the grim darkness of the far future... The is only War.'

Can we just take a moment to be impressed by how the giant Apocalypse weapon completely nullifies defensive bonuses? Anti air turrets! Planet blows up. Giant nukes that can destroy anything on the planet! Planet blows up. A shield that will block orbital bombardment! This isn't bombardment, it's an op one shot weapon. Planet blows up.

Well this has me hyped up to start another Stellaris campaign. I'm quite fond of playing a genocidal Commonwealth of Man (purge the xeno scum!!), but I've been telling myself I'd balance it out with a goody two shoes federation building campaign one of these days.

I will never forget the first time one of my planets got destoyed.
It was a long and grinding war of attrition.
There was one choke point and 2 empires as enemies. Both were on the same techlevel as i.
It was rather late in the game so both sides had thrown everything at each other.
Their fleet survived with like 10k while i lost everything.
They bombarded my planet like no sentient being could, but my guard stood tall. Atleast 8 times they invaded. 8 times my proud standing Imperial guard kept standing.
These proud and loyal soldiers fought and died for reinforcements to arrive just 2 years after the destruction.
Their sacrifice saved my empire.
May mankind never forget. Cadia VIII broke before the Guard did.

Wow, I have to admit that at first I thought this is the official paradox trailer. The work is amazing! All those cuts and how they combine with the music! Each time the music has sort of a "drop" there is an epic camera change. I had some thoughts that the music doesn't sound paradox style. Furthermore even though I haven't ever played LOL I thought that the music is more LOL style. But I still believed that this is the official paradox trailer until I showed the video to my gf and she asked me to find the artist of the music.
This is a 10/10. But I would prefer to have some other footage on 1:44 and 1:48 because in comparison to other footage, those sun effects look kinda unrealistic and cheap.

I swore to never use the Apocalypse weapons on my first playthrough with them than I was betrayed by my federation and they used one on my home world.
I burned every single one of their worlds for that.

That was actually an amazing story. Better even than the original perhaps, because the original just had a battle. You felt attached to the warrior more than to anyone. And then the world was cracked, but the fact that a dying world is comparable to a single person already tells something
With you however, we saw the rise and fall of humanity. The struggle it faced, how they still survived. And then the end, as the planet was cracked in the finale...at that point I was already attached to humanity. It wasn't just a planet, it was the last of them. And so, i feel like your trailer was way better
I would certainly say that for an emotional trailer, to those who have played stellaris for a while or since the beginning, this one is far superior, but if you just getting into it and want to learn what its about then Paradoxes is the one you'd like most. This is built more like a movie trailer and its honestly beautiful with the way its contructed. Not sure why only now I was recommended this in my feed but I do love it nonetheless.

This song fits too well with my HoI4 campaign. I'm playing a Germany who went as diplomatic and subtle as possible without much build up and was able to make it German-Japanese forces against Aussie Allies with Russo-American forces being the last hope against Fascism. This has become their theme song.

playing with grand admiral plus end game crisis x25 and winning using corvette spam till 4 fleets with 4M each arrive at my border , I lost the game but still managed to take out 3 of the 4 fleets only with corvettes ,so bad we cant record fights like in TW or I would upload it was good. I leave the legend of the race called Raddosseuss for others to read and their memory to be preserverd as honorable warriors.

I’m going to be completely straight forward here. I was a completely loyal console player. Always having a slight yearning for a pc, but knowing how expensive they were, I never wanted to save up for one either. And then I was sucked into an ocean of stellaris content. I had heard of the game before from a destiny TH-camd named *mynameisbyf* but never paid it much attention due to his thumbnails just not being interesting enough. But I watched this one video, watched a whole bunch of others, and was finally convinced to start saving up. Wish me luck boys!
