Just letting everyone know that we are recording our first podcast tonight, which will hopefully end up on the channel soon. Something to look forward to.
The story telling aspect is my favorite part of the game. I enjoy finishing the game and then telling the adventures of my character.
Sounds quite cool, I'd love to see something like this with a little more game. Seems like something that could be tied into a game that has a campaign system where you develop your own narrative rather than following a quest path that has been laid out by the developer in advance.
I've played this twice now and it's a great light game. The character and story creation just work really well

You, you're finally awake. You were caught trying to cross the border, walked right into an Imperial ambush, same as us and that thief over there.
Someone brought this at my FLGS game night earlier this year. I was dubious at first, based on the box and his halting description... but dang, you nailed it when you said the storytelling is the best part! I was quickly drawn in and tried hard to get my character to the highest echelons of the light side! I'd gladly play this again.
Got this one because of the Name of the Wind expansion. Epic story time!
Good god, this looks amazing! Thank you for pointing out that there's something to be said for interesting stories in games where the mechanics are a bit flawed - I find the same thing in Tales of the Arabian Nights, where the mechanics are definitely a bit clunky but the stories you can tell with the game are absolutely amazing. I'll definitely buy this!
Funny, I was just recently looking at this game. Love the concept of creating a character and telling a story. Wish there were more games like this.

Nice. Ticks a lot of boxes. 'cept one: 4 player limit. Sometimes I feel there's quite a few nice "thematic" lighter games out there, that would be a good fit to sprinkle in when our RPG group wants a filler. And "most" seem to cap at 4, when we'd need something that works at 5-6. :|
Fair comment. I can easily see a 5-6 player expansion being a thing as really, there is no reason other than cost that it caps at 4
This was actually the first game I backed on Kickstarter. It's a great storytelling game and my friends and I come back to it a lot. I have some issues with the solo/co-op mode, so we just stick with the standard rules. I actually wrote an in-depth review if anyone would like to check it out.

what kind of interaction do you have with the other players in this game? seems like you are developing your own character without much interaction
The cards, especially the dark ones, can have impacts on other players. Also, because you are drafting, players may take the things you wanted.

Good spotting! I don't believe it is a preview copy, no. I actually played this at Wellycon from the collective library there before asking for a review copy. So its well and truly "out"

I really love the look of this but I've heard the solo mode is far too easy
I skipped the solo mode, and i'm a solo gamer. But the core of the game for me is the story telling aspect, which feeds off interaction. I think it's definitely one that I wouldn't get for solo only play though
