in case you missed it: molly and i are planning to do a Q&A video. so if you have any questions you'd like to ask us, feel free to write them below or go to our community tab on our channel page to see what has been asked so far. we will be selecting a few and will have it up in a couple of weeks. thanks and we hope you enjoy the reaction ✌🏼
I’m only on track 2 and my eyes are welling up. I’m just another one of the many who Cudi has literally saved. Pretty cool to watch people listen to this album for the first time… in 2024! Peace ✌🏼
Personally believe that if you take out Hyerr it’s literal a perfect album. But to me it’s still perfect because there’s very little albums with only one skip. This album saved my life for sure. But hyerr obviously has to vibe with some people, just not most.
I 100% agree. I’ve got it on my chill playlist too. I used to walk to the bus stop in the mornings and during the winter I would always walk to the stop with this big ass jacket and a beanie on banging this masterpiece. When I had an iPod Nano back when you manually uploaded songs and you see the play count this was my #1 for a while
Only discovered this album about a year ago and it completely changed my life and helped me through a really dark time. Crazy that this was released 15 years ago and is still affecting people like that. That's why this album is a classic.
the (nightmare) in the song title is because he describes the album as him going to sleep, and the songs are the dreams he has. the ones with the nightmare label are the nightmares, basically showing the darker side of his thoughts. he talks about it in an interview he did with 'generations'
It’s crazy I’ve watched so many reaction videos to this album and every time I can’t help but tear up realizing how much this album helped me growing up cudi is the GOAT. So happy he is in a better place now as am I thanks to him and his music
I think why this album was so important was during this time, was he was one of the first to talk about mental health so vividly is rap. Very unheard of even in 2009. Thank you for touching on that he opened the door for a lot of rappers to speak on it.
I wish you guys listened to the deluxe version of this album. There are a few good tracks you missed out on, especially the title track: Man on the Moon (The Anthem)
I was really hoping for your reaction to this album, as Man On the Moon is one of the albums that felt very close to me, and it helped me get through some tougher times in my life, so I was happy when I saw this vid on my main page. I loved hearing your insights - they were very thoughtful an spot-on (and I actually didn't think of some of the things you pointed out). Thanks for the video! :)
This album really saved my life freshman year of high school. I was going through abuse at home and dealing with typical high school shit. I remember putting my taped up headphones on and popping this album in my old CD player and just tuning out the world and drowning in this pit of darkness and bliss.
Would love to see Archie reacting to some of Molly's favourite albums for a change. It would attract viewers of other genres as well, so great for the channel.
Damn you guys work so well together. She picks up so much on her first listen, and he perfectly fills in the holes and background. It’s nice hearing reactors that don’t talk all over each other and give each other time to gather their thoughts. Been watching you guys since from either a Kendrick or Cole reaction, keep us the great work 🙌🏿
Teflon Don from Rick Ross would be a great reaction, such a great mix of hard hip-hop with classy production. Great video! Been loving your reactions for a month now
Enjoyed your review guys ❤ I hope you do more Cudi albums, I love his new albums Man on the Moon 3 and Insano too, would be great to see you listen to those 🙂
The opening to Pursuit Of Happiness is the most nostalgic musical moment of all time for me. It brings out certain feelings and memories that no other song does.
I was born 3 years to the date after kid cudi, only child, and this literally was the soundtrack to my life. Helped me and a lot of friends get through a lot of shit fresh out of high school. Kanye and Cudi were a staple for mental health and I’m glad people are going back and intruding them to a new generation 🙌🏿
I'd recommend checking out the song "Do It Alone" (it's on youtube not streaming). From what I understand it was supposed to be the intro track to Man On The Moon but it was leaked before the album release so he removed it from the album. It's my favourite song by Kid Cudi and I think you would both really enjoy it.
Don't think you'll ever read this but what is the song that at 36:51 Molly says Entergalactic reminds her of? She said its a song off Phrazes for the Young by Julian Casablancas, someone I had thought I had never heard of. I ask because when i looked up the album on Spotify, I discovered I had already added "11th Dimension" to over a dozen of my playlists already.. so is that the same one? Just a random thought. Love the vids! And while I'm here, I'd suggest 1999 by Joey Bada$$ at some point. Classic but modernized boom bap east coast production with Amazing storytelling for a 17 year old
this is so cool!!! what a crazy coincidence. yes, it reminds me a lot of the breakdown + bridge in 11th dimension and also the guitar solo in glass. i recommend the whole album, it’s one of my favs of all time (especially the first 3 songs and glass). thank you for watching and for the recommendation!!
Love your reactions! You guys have to listen to more cudi man, motm 2 and 3 are also just great and you can really see his musical and mental evolution.
Love that you guys react to classics like "Man On The Moon". I highly recommend the album "The Search" by NF - it's already considered a classic by some. It's a profound well-written, self-reflective album with very strong emotion, mental health, and cinematic beats
you guys have the best reactions!if yall haven't heard "velocity: design: comfort." by sweet trip yet i highly recommend it, i feel like it's right up y'all's alley, its such an immersive and underrated album, and i think it would make an awesome video!!
You guys should react to is there any love omg favorite song on the album after a couple years of replaying it keep it up love to ur vids! You guys are great!
I love your videos! Kid Cudi has been super important to many people. Look at the impact of his music-I'm not even from the US and I listened to him when I was a kid haha (I'm from Spain). I'm absolutely sure that you're going to really enjoy "Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin'". This album by Cudi is incredible musically; it's produced by Mike Dean. I would love for you to listen to it! Best regards.
This album saved a bunch of men (teens in general) but I say men specifically because it showed us that it was okay to feel our emotions and express them. That we don’t have to be hard and tough all of the time.
in case you missed it: molly and i are planning to do a Q&A video. so if you have any questions you'd like to ask us, feel free to write them below or go to our community tab on our channel page to see what has been asked so far. we will be selecting a few and will have it up in a couple of weeks. thanks and we hope you enjoy the reaction ✌🏼
