Wow CB.CH.17 051captinron Washington state waving guys 🇺🇸 now that's a big bird so this is what the old country looks like 😊👍 we hunt turkey grouse Roosevelt elk whitetail & blacktail deer 🦌
@@krasstoffHi! Thank you and welcome. I use 6.5×55. Some hunters use 308, 222, 223. I shoot from the ground and use my backpack as a support with the stock resting on my hand. The snow can be deep over a meter. I always do some bedding before i shot and bed for the back of the stock aswell by putting gloves or some other support underneth the rifle so it's aligned at the target. Then it's just som training on breathing and target practicing. No quad sticks, but some times i use my ski poles by crossing them and shoot standing if the bird is close within a 100 meters.
@@vildmarksliv Very interesting, thanks! Regarding the weasle, probably the only way to spare it would be bigger live catch traps (the only ones we are allowed to use in Switzerland). But they are quite big and expensive (especially the trap messengers are!) and involve some effort. The big ones (200cm+) sometimes catch fox and racoon though. Cheers

Grüße aus dem Norden!
@@adlerfee Danke!
Good hunting! Thanks for sharing! What calibre do you use on those birds? Are you shooting off of the ground or do you use a quadstick? Cheers
