I really like how you show the process and make sessions realistic, you never need to show off or be the best, but just want to make personal progress and I think that makes your videos super authentic (: keep up the great work, glad I stumbled upon your channel. I think I'll do an overhang session soon as well, so thanks for the inspiration too!
Thank you! I appreciate that. I’m really glad that my sessions come across as authentic and hopefully it makes watching the videos more relatable for viewers. Hope you have a great time on the steep walls 😅😊
As a person who also likes to disregard overhang problems, you give me the motivation to take the bull by the horns on my next climbing session. Man I will be sore, but it's good practice. I do like slabs a lot and recently flashed my first v3 - 4 graded problem. So stoked.
Hope you have fun working overhang. Even though I’m not as strong on overhang as other types of wall, I do LOVE an overhang session for a good workout and feeling like I’m working weaknesses! 😆
What a great idea to film from different angles on your attempts, makes the climbs so much clearer, well done! And overhang technique is always a good thing to practice, will do that in my next session as well :)
That red climb is awesome. Terrific goes Hannah, even if you didn't send it. Started looking like Louis with those cut-loose. Looks like a great project for you. Can't wait to see you send it. Good luck and stay safe! Perfect example of a "project"
Haha I do love a good cut loose! Deffo need to be able to keep my feet on the wall more though hehe! It was a really fun project. Hopefully I’ll get to climb on it again before it gets reset. 😅 thanks so much for watching and commenting!
Another great video as usual! Overhangs are always pretty tricky for me too. I found watching Captain Cutloose, or Louis Parkinson, to be really helpful, as he climbs a lot of overhanging problems and shows the dead-pointing technique really well. Ive found that technique to really be what makes my overhang climbs happen
wow, Hannah, I am very much impressed of how strong you've become! I would be interested in your training regime - if there is any? or do you "only" do on the wall climbing? maybe a video idea (: and also I need to get my ass up and train myself, so a little motivation could help (:
At the minute, I only do on the wall training and some general strength training when I feel like doing something that isn’t climbing! I’m super keen to explore training content, as I want to start adding structured off the wall training to my weekly routine. I’d love to film the process 😀
You crushed the first 2. You're getting really good! I appreciate the details too. I should try more higher grades but I've been focused on getting V5s really down
First of all, I love you channel. I started bouldering a couple of months ago and it’s great to be able to see you progress and learn with you along the way. I was wondering, do you do any training outside of bouldering to up your climbing game?
Awesome! Thank you! I do. I'm actually planning a 'How I train for Climbing' video, as part of a training series so hopefully you'll find that interesting. I do a bit of strength training (bench, squats and deadlift) and when I'm not feeling totally broken, I do a fair bit of leg work. Could pay more attention to my finger strength but I've never been able to get into fnigerboarding, or stay uninjured long enough, ahah.
@@hannahmorrisbouldering Can I ask you which gyms would you recommend for climbing in London ? :)) I love your channels and videos. It makes me want to climb more
You are really getting scientific with the thumbnails, huh ? :) I liked the (third?) the most, with the climb at the left and your second portrait at the right. It looked like a coversation to me, which Iiked. Also it looked brighter than the other thumbnails.
That thinking in 3D space is sooo true, I'll look at an overhang and be like "oh yeah okay" Then get on it and be like "My feet are sooo far away how am I going to do thisssss"

hey hannah i loved this video!! just wondering where you get your climbing leggings from? really struggling to find something decent to climb in at the mo and these look very comfy
I dunno, where I climbed those routes will be a v0-v3 max, well the guys who set the routes are kind rock climbing freaks. So I felt frustrated because I could not do it more, but when someone invite me to a different gym I did v5-v6. But the thing I learned it is the grades are not so important, you need to learn the technique, become an analytic person, humble to accept your limitation, and train with goals, because once you get to the wall you will need to use your time wisely. Well I am pretty old guy , overweight 40 pounds, so I need to spent my time wisely.

One of the most educational videos I seen lately.
Overhang is my JAM. Great vid Hannah and Nathan!
Really wanna improve on overhang this winter. Hannah 🤝 training board 😎
literally went climbing today but seeing videos of people climbing gets me so pumped for my next session!

The sound Hannah makes at 13:26 needs to be sampled into a song
Hahaha PLEASE 😆😆
Another brilliant and informative video Hannah. Thank you 🙂
Glad you enjoyed it!
It’s a good start to the week when I see a HMB video! 🤘
Pumped to watch this and applying it to my climbing tomorrow ❤️🔥

always exciting seeing my home wall, watching you smash climbs that I am aiming for!
Ah no way! Hope you’ve been enjoying the comp wall set - it’s ace!
Enjoyed that, Impressive work by the camera man

If you're regularly doing V5's I'd say you can definitely push your grade with some projects! Thanks for watching and supporting with a comment :)

Is there a Kilter board where you climb? I'd looove to see a training board video 😊 Great content as always.
There is! I would love to do a video on the Kilterboard in time. I so rarely climb on it but it’s been on my list to try more! 😆
How is there literally no one in the gym when you shoot? All walls are so crowded around me 24/7 🙈 awesome video!
I suspect they get early access, before the regular opening time. That, or they just rent the whole gym for the day, so no one else can be there... ;)
We managed to sneak in before opening for this video, at least for most of it! Thanks to V1 for letting us 🎉

Hi! They’re from a brand called LNDR. I generally buy from them second hand as they can be a little pricey but they’re great quality.
I love the song that plays around 17:00, does anyone know the name of it?
It’s called Matinee by Cherry Tiger 🥰
