Well, Joe, is about to pass out, and he kinda pulled down Rodger and Don, but Tony is just a breath support god.
Seeing this live in Vegas was one of the top highlights of my young barbershop life. Mighty awesome!
I briefly met Joe at a bar in Perth Australia way back in 19...what was it ? Someone remind me. He won’t remember but I was freaking out on BBS in general and Keepsake in particular at that time and I was delighted in 2019 to see KS on TH-cam still hangin’ those chords . Wow ! Haven’t sung BBS for 20 yrs but you know what....I just have to go back there and feel it again. It’s a drug. It’s totally legal, and its available to all. Great to see KS in such good form and Joe I saw you gave it all on that last note... that’s what it’s all about mate. Thank you for your inspiration . Steve P
The slide chord from 2:13-2:17 totally thrilled my soul the first time I heard it. I was so blown away. I think that more than anything else made Keepsake my favorite quartet when I discovered them 20 years ago.
Joe sings with such joy, it so refreshing! His voice is still butter, after all those years!

Why do I keep seeing people from different groups together? Like aren't the 2 out most guys from Main Street??
A lot of champs go out to compete again over and over and find themselves in new quartets with other champions and familiar faces and so yes roger and tony are from Main Street which is Tony’s 4th gold keepsake was his first when he was 18 or so in 92 then he sang again with Connelly in platinum in 2001 and 2001 and then tony won as a lead with max q in 2007. And. Just this year again wit roger in Main Street. Joe has 4 keepsake was his second his first was interstate rivals and then keepsake followed by platinum and old school in 2011. So anyway yeah barbershop is awesome!
Bob McFishkens not to mention when joe won with interstellar rivals in 87 I think Kipp Buckner the tenor sang with him again in old school. But also won in 93 with gas house gang. And then jay the bass and Paul the bari both from interstate rivals won together in 94 or 95 with Marquis. So yeah a lot of different ones are in more than 1 quartet cuz they’ve competed multiple times throughout their course in life

I think it’s a support thing... sounds like there was a lot of tension in that post. I think he’s struggling vocally.
This was from Keepsake's 25th anniversary for winning the championship in 1992 and filmed this past July at the international contest. Joe had been feeling very sick leading into the week, not even certain if he was going to make it to the convention to celebrate with his quartet and sing at all. This was their closing song on the show and the emotion of making it there, singing with his quartet, celebrating Keepsake and the crowds support all week got to him. If you can see it in his face, he is visibly moved at the emotion in the song.
