Very interesting. I've never even thought about measuring the I.D. of the small end on a press-fit application. Time to change my ways. You're correct, nothing worse than getting a pin stuck half-way into the rod during installation. Always seems to happen on 1 or 2 out of eight. I'll try this method. Thanks for the tip.
