For many years now, I've submitted this song as the global Atheist anthem. It may not cover all bases, but lyrically, it's arguably the most honest and direct song you'll find on the topic of religion.

maybe you should check it out again...i mean your faith...maybe you should drop the'they created religion to control the masses' idea...and understand the whole flower power and British invasion was a psyop to destroy faith by introducing eastern faith systems which is why Abraham left his Brahmic fathers people to go into the Wilde nous.@@SpaceCattttt

yeah - 7:00 - the solo issue... there's an edit on the first edition of the CD which this version is, which cuts out the end (of the record side 3) solo... Notice that the edit takes the tune up a tone from the rest of the song. Well, that's because the original has a long fade out on side 3 with a (pretty great) guitar solo and when you flip the record to side 4, there is a segue into 'Heavenly Bank Account'.
This was fixed for the later CD releases, but this is, I guess the first - 'how to fit a more than 74min album onto a medium with only 74mins'... edition. Fun track though - Zappa raps!

If you are doing anything from the "You Are What You Is" LP, it is best to do it as whole sides. The tracks are written in such a way as to run through from beginning to end. It becomes a much better listen.

Yeah it's great that Frank was doing you know kind of a funk beat there and you know using that phase or singing through a PVC pipe or whatever it is I mean it's funny because this is kind of way before rap even became anything really this was probably around 1981 I believe the album is called you are what you is that it came off it was a double album you know if you bought it on vinyl I mean you know shake your booty with such a great album but I really especially love this one

Long guitar solo version sounds more like a young Steve Vai,who contributed lots of stunt guitar work on this album. Verdict is still out. Google says Frank, but full solo sounds more like a young Steve.

@Zolar Czakl Collector of live recordings informs - Vai also soloed on the 1980 live version of Dead Girls Of London, and sometimes he got to play the short solos on Cosmik Debris. And there's at least one show apiece where he gets to solo on Rdnzl and Let's Move To Cleveland.

The guitar solo in this version was cut by so much... But the lyrics are still poignant, sarcastic, and accusatory. I'd like to play it over and over again to the talibans, as well as every other religious extremist from every religion and denomination.
